And the river represents peace of mind and is a symbol of our life - sometimes quiet and soothing, and sometimes raging and pulling us down. This is at least what Ochman explained is his interviews.

I'm also absolutely amazed at singing of Christian Ochman. He is studying classical singing at the Music University in Katowice (probably the best in Poland) and his grandfather Wiesław Ochman is a very famous opera singer in Poland. It's interesting that you recognized that he sings as a native American-English speaker - it's true because he lived for a long time (and probably was born) in the USA. Video is a bit dark and pessimistic but also very attracting and that's the point. I admire your attempts to speak Polish❤ Best regards from Warsaw.

You have to check his live performens with this song at semi final at Eurovision. He sing River so much better live. His voice is just WOW. His song "ten sam ja" and "gdzie iść" is also amazing. You need to heard it.
Agree, he is a rare case of a singer who is better live than on MV, especially in "River" where he added his incredible falsetto into the live performance at Eurovision. I also like and recommend watching "Gdzie iść?" and "Ten sam ja", where he sings in a more powerful way, but first I would watch "Wielkie tytuły". Ochman is releasing a new song and video tomorrow, so you also might want to check it out.

His live performances of this song are a lot better because he sings chorus part by himself and the drums are better as well. He sounds amazing in lives. The story of the song can be interpreted that sometimes so many thoughts are crowded in your head and you are so tired with being worried about many things (people with black masks are bad thoughts) that you have to reset your mind. Going to the river means to reset your mind.
A look at the palace in the distance [0:41] - Krystian is ready to fight the demons and deal with them once and for all;
Entering the center surrounding by dark figures (demons) [0:59] - Krystian, with his head bowed, hopes that he will win the battle that begins. He watches what problems surround him.
The fading lights [1:15] - Ochman starts an uneven fight inside his head, Krystian looks around [1:52] - he initially won the fight with the problems, but he makes sure, because he has the impression that the fight with problems is not over;
Closing door [1:55] - he was right, someone is still blocking his way to normal life. Fortunately, there were handles on the door and he managed to stay in the fight for a life of love and peace.
Mysterious figure [2:03] - the main character notices a walking figure behind the door. He decided to follow her. It can be read as a symbol of peace and the achieved goal, i.e. overcoming life difficulties.
Krystian escapes from the palace [3:55] - he found a way to solve problems and ran away from them as far as possible.
A flowing river - may be the equivalent of time not standing still. There is still hope for a better future. In life, you have to remember that the river is rushing, so problems are inevitable. However, keep going and keep going!

Check out Ochman's new song and video "Bittersweet", which you will either love or hate, it won't leave you lukewarm 😉 It's totally different, mixing trap music with his operatic voice, which at some parts was autotuned (and he raps there, too!). The video is very dark and disturbing, yet matches the deep and for sure not "sweet" lyrics of the song. It's intriguing and I'm really curious how you would react to it.
