- Well, I can now say I have filmed one of every thunderbolt basically. As you know, it's independence day and this is in fact Christopher's (TrainsandSirens1) B series 1003 that for some unholy reason has a 5M on it. He sounded it at 8 today and his family was gracious enough to invite me up. Lots of fun was had with ATVs, this thing, and a 1960 VW Beetle. This siren is in an undisclosed location in Greer. As you can infer this was a special sound off, but normally it is tested every Tuesday at 1:00 PM, non weather permitting.
For your viewing pleasure, here is a map of all the sirens in South Carolina (made by yours truly):

I love how my 1003 sounds so amazing, even on this video. Thanks for recording this.
@TrainsAndSirens1 What is that white stuff underneath the chopper cap?
@@SirensandThunderbolts1003 Sealant to prevent air leaks and due to chopper cap was damaged.
@@TrainsAndSirens1 ah ok.
That spider on it's web, between the support beam, and the throat of the horn is having it's time of it's life spinning.
