Just wanted to say thank you for posting this disassembly video. I got my phone wet briefly, but fully submerged in water. Shut it off immediately. Using your video, disassembled the phone & used compressed air to remove the moisture. Did a hard reset of the battery by removing cable connecting it to the board. Let phone sit for a little while just in case & now it Powers right up & works fine. Thanks Again!!
Thanks for this video! Using the stiff guitar pick to open the case worked really well. Note, if you are just going to replace the battery, you don't need to lift the motherboard, and disconnect that wide tape connector. If you do need to reconnect the wide tape connector for the screen, put a flat toothpick under the wide tape to make it stick up a bit more and make it easier to put into the side of the connector on the motherboard before clamping it down. The white line on the wide tape should butt up against the connector when it's in place. If you touched the contacts on the tape with your fingers, you might leave a little body oil on the contacts. To clean that up, use a clean pencil eraser to clean the contacts.
Thank you so much ! I’m an Apple user and I’m actually selling a phone for a relative who hasn’t use this phone in four years since it’s new… Crazy Huh? Android and Google is so different from Apple and everything is a lot more in bedded and complicated to use if you’ve never used it before and not familiar with it. I’ve had to Google a lot of things. Anyway, this model was four years old to appreciate this still being up !
Oh nice, no prob. Apple soft on iphones is pretty much the same all around so easier to use from model to model but ya I personally use android never liked iphones always seemed too tied down and just the way safari works is annoying for me. I love the freedom of android and how it operates more like a desktop computer.
This video just saved me. I dropped my phone, causing the batter connection to be lost. I was able to diagnose and fix the issue by taking the back plate off. Thanks for putting this video up!
@meghyn halopoff There is a water sticker on the side of the frame that can be seen when you remove the sim card tray/volume rocker, they would probably check that.
Thanks for this... just resurrected my phone after it went into a lake. Hardest part was getting the back cover off... I use 1mm guitar picks and could not get them in there. Screw the finish, I used a flat edge screwdriver on it. Rest of the process went perfectly.
Meghan Glasgow Anytime, make sure once it is completely dry, you use an old toothbrush or something to brush off any corrosion that you can see on the board and connectors.
i don't have the tools to open it up all of the way.. its time for me to find a store with professional phone help and the right tools :/ but thank you so much for this video!
Thanks, I checked both plastic pieces and they are both in place. I tried tightening the screws more but still bad signal with my blue tooth. Not sure why those pieces would affect the antenna for my Bluetooth head set. If you have any more ideas that I can try I would greatly appreciate it again thanks for all of your help and taking the time out to make the video and respond to people.
+leviyid There is a wireless charging coil and additional antenna pad on the back of battery that connects to the main board with a flex cable, you still have yours intact and connected? Just trying to make sure all connections are good. If it is, the only thing I can think of is you might have accidentally damaged a chip or something on the main board. No problem glad to answer any questions.
I did everything this video instructed those who viewed it how to successfully disassemble and reassemble this Smartphone when I reach the end nowhere in the description does it tell you you have to transfer the mechanical power button from the broken screen and mid-frame to your new screen and mid-frame. I looked around and thought I had lost it then looking at the old and broken screen there was the red button still in the old screen and mid-frame you have to carefully push all three support legs of the button out of the old and carefully push it back into new one
that is true, if we missed pointing that part out, sorry about that. Some replacements do come with that button, but if it does not, you would need to take it off the old midframe as you mentioned and place on the new one.
I'm thinking of swapping my Maxx battery door with the red one. do you have to worry about those connectors for the flash at all that I see on the inside of the cover? and if swapping the back is there enough adhesive to re-stick it? (I'm sure the new back would also have adhesive on it)
very good thank you for the teardown, I wish you would take the battery out and show the inside of the back ballistic nylon cover more closely and clearly but anyways thank you very much for the teardown.
Thanks, wanted to know how hard it would be to replace the battery on one of these since most phone batteries seem to get shitty at about the 1 year mark
I think this will be very helpful. The USB port died so the battery no longer charges. I understand how to take it apart but how do I replace the USB port? What tools would I need for it and Is it straight forward?
If I'm not mistaken, the USB port is soldered onto the motherboard. you would need to know how to de-solder and solder a new one on. If not you would have to take it to a repair shop that knows how to do it.
10:52 When you are showing us the inside of the turbo, There are two silver squares next to your right hand thumb next to each other, and one of those squares (closest to the edge) looks to have some black soot type stuff as if it burnt out (it doesn't clean off though). Is this a part that can be replaced or does that mean his phone is fried? I tried charging it, and all the phone is doing is loading up (we can hear the loading sequence, but no images) over and over and over until we disconnect the battery. Any help? He works in the law/security field, so I really need him to have a phone again!
I have purchased the black nylon housing from eBay to replace it with the metalized Kevlar black. Please guide if the nylon housing would fit as original and if any edges would have gaps after changing the housing.
I need to switch the power button over to my new complete screen assembly. How do you get that sucker out? Seems like the bell ends that keep it in were machined/melted after it was pushed in.
they are hard to push out but you need to use a small tool thats strong enough and small enough to fit in the hole and push them out. They pop out eventually with enough force.
+Ricardo Pötter I'd say no but I have taken several off so its easy for me. Its not hard at all, when you get the tabs around the corners popped off or opened, just pull the back off. There is adhesive holding it down but that's it. just pull it off and it will come off. Also don't worry about that rubber piece that's over the battery, it will either just stay stuck to the back and you can remove it and re attach it to the phone or it will stay stuck to the phone, its just a cover gasket type thing that can be reattached. :)
Thanks a bunch for this video!! I broke tip of my headphone jack off in the input and couldn't get it out. Didn't know how to open the phone. Awesome video!
fryloc359 The large speaker is on the plastic housing that covers the camera which you take off as seen in video, and the earpiece speaker can be removed off the from with either a thin flat head or xacto knife or razr blade, its held on with adhesive. Just make sure when your prying it off you go all the way underneath it so you don't pry only the speaker without its front cover. Hope this helps
I'm trying to replace my power button when I get the phone apart its attached to the midframe but its basically held in by pins that are forced through a hole that's too small so it doesn't come back out. Is there anyway to safely remove that button from the frame?
+Zac Swagger It's hard, you will need to use a tool small enough to push those pins out of their sockets. You will also need to use something thin to lift the button upward at an angle so when your pushing the pins out the button pops out.
I'm wondering, is there a way to expand the memory in this phone? Is there maybe a memory card tucked away in there that can be swapped out for a larger SD card? Just curious.
Its like a thin rubber or some other material that fills in any separation from the back housing to the back of the phone from what I can tell. It has nothing running through it just held on with adhesive. Probably there to make a good connection for the wireless charging
I have a broken power button on my droid turbo and wanted to find out if you know what part I need to fix? Is it just the little button I need or the entire motherboard? It's under $10 for the button but $100 for the motherboard! Any help is greatly appreciated!
It depends on if your button clicker that is soldered onto the main board is bad or if the button itself its bad. Both are replaceable, just that the motherboard one will require soldering.
pwrdbykyank Is there an easy way to tell which it is once I get the back cover off? As it is now, the button seems flush with the case and offers zero feedback if you try to push it in. Thanks again!
yea you will need to remove the main board and click on the clicker itself and see if it clicks, if not then you need to solder on a new clicker. It shouldnt be too hard
pwrdbykyank: I have the same problem as levon. My power button looks and feels normal, but there is no response by the phone when it is pushed. How far do I strip it down so that I can diagnose it? Do I remove those 8 screws? (I pull the back off all the time in order to unplug the battery connect strip and reboot.) I am not under warranty; just trying to avoid buying a new Turbo for a while. (Droid Turbo XT 1254.)
The button the power button has foam pieces underneath that makes the power button pop back out ready for you to push it in again it's a mechanical button that that you have to use a pair of needle-nose pliers to push out of the old mid-frame and screen is broken and then carefully line up all three legs and push it back into your new screen and mid-frame
So there is no wasy way to replace the middle housing? mine was scratched without damagin the screen and im planning on buying a replacement but it seems complicated to replace
+Aron G. Katz (arongkatz) you would need to heat up the backplate after you take the phone apart and pry off the midframe from the lcd. It's doable just not easy.
Do you know if the LCD is the same for the droid maxx. I just cracked the glass in my spanking new maxx. Also do you know a place that sales the full LCD assembly online? Thanks in advance!
pwrdbykyank sorry it is not the droid maxx, i'm asking the Moto Maxx XT1225, basically this phone looks the same as the droid turbo verizon, can you please advice?
Can you identify the location of the "external" speaker? Not the earpiece speaker, though the speaker used when putting your phone in "speaker phone" mode or when you listen to music. I just had a shop replace the battery and when returned, the external speaker will not will.
Its the silver rectangle piece on the inside of that black plastic housing that has the camera cover and the headphone jack at 6:52 time in video. Make sure they screwed it down properly so that the speaker gold contacts are touching and making a connection with the gold contacts on the board.
the flash yea, it could be caused by the back housing not being firmly attached to the midframe. There are gold contact points on the back housing for the flash which touch the main board giving it power. As for the camera that's a different story. That is attached directly to the main board.
pwrdbykyank Thank you for the speedy response. It is strange that they failed together, twice. It seemed like a single point of failure. I am going to get a new phone and I will play around with it. Your video is great. Thanks again.
Well it depends, as long as it still holds the cable in place it should work. But if it wont hold the cable in place and any of the contacts are damaged, then it would not work
+pwrdbykyank I think as long as I don't touch them it may be ok. looks like all that does is shields the contacts. it's only three or four contacts exposed, just about 1/8 to 3/16 inch exposed. I tried to lift the Grey side instead of the white side before I found this vid, it's very flimsy. Do replacement screens with the lcd usually come mounted or will I have to remove the screen lcd and digitizer from that frame?
Depends on which you purchase. I prefer to buy ones with the frame preinstalled. Makes the job much easier. They might cost a bit more, but saves you on the headache
Usually ebay would be your best choice. Your covered under buyer protection for items not as described etc., and sellers are usually always willing to resolve any issues.
jaredpicciuto I'm not sure if I already replied, but I do have a replacement battery however if your phone has water damage, there is a good chance replacing the battery wont fix your problem.
Depends on your issue. No sim cards work with the phone to get signal? have you tried your sim in another phone and it works? if so try checking and making sure the bottom and top plastic pieces which have the antenna line running through it are seated properly and screwed down in place.
@@PBKreviews well basicly my problem with my old phone is that doesnt showing up the 4 lte of verizon wirless...so you are the expert ...could you telling me whats going on...or happening that why i cant showing and dont getting the 4 lte internet of verizon?
I took apart my Droid turbo and replaced the battery after I put it all back together my bluetooth headseats haven't been functioning properly and my wifi reception has gotted drastically worse any ideas?
make sure you didn't damage anything on the board and also check that plastic piece where it goes over the camera , make sure its in place and same with bottom black plastic antenna
hey pwrdbykyank wouldn't happen to see any hidden LED's would you? The nexus 6 and the moto x have hidden leds behind the top speakers. Hopefully theres something there for the turbo.
Honestly I didn't pay too much attention to that, but I wouldn't be surprised honestly if it were to have one. Motorola had done the same with the droid ultra/droid maxx by putting an LED on it but it wasn't positioned for being used as a notification light. Basically would turn on only when the phone was extremely low on battery to let you know your phone will shut off soon, and also when it was completely dead and you plugged in the charger, the green light would come on. But it was off to the side so it would glow through where the light sensor picks up light on top. I believe the same would have been done with this droid turbo, however I don't think from reviewing the video, it has anything close to an actual dedicated LED for notification by the earpiece area.
Hi is it possible for me to remove the front and back camera from the circuit board? Its a requirement at my workplace for phones to be non-camera enabled.
+pwrdbykyank yup I place it back and it works fine. So I guess it between the choice of bringing the phone to my workplace or the ability to use it as a flash light Hahaha. But thanks for the reply. Really appreciate it.
Its somewhat hard to replace the buttons but doable. There are three tabs on the inside part of the button that you need to use a tool to push out of the frame, then pop in the new button. But its not easy to get it out of the frame so just letting you know.
aChokingVictim If you do a good job taking it apart and dont damage it, I don't think they will be able to tell it was taken apart, nor make a big deal about it. But if water damage is your issue causing the phone not to work, or any physical damage, then those alone void the warranty so yep.
+John S. Hullinger The accelerometer can't be replaced. Have you checked to see if the setting in the phone possibly got turned off for it not to auto rotate?
+pwrdbykyank Bummer. Yeah, I've restarted the phone twice and shut the setting off and then back on twice. It started acting up RIGHT after I dropped it.
It's less than a year old, so probably. Funny thing, though: I dropped my phone again yesterday (I NEVER drop my phone!) and now the auto-rotate works again, haha.
I'm not sure exactly which one is for the wifi but would be either the black plastic on top with the grey/tan lines which has the camera cover or the bottom plastic piece which is screwed down with 4 screws. Those grey/tan lines are the antennas
My phone works but when i restart it, the wifi doesn't turn on. A few times when grabbed my phone tightly forcing it, and restart it, it worked. It looked like the antenna wires were lose. so could you tell where could i find the plugin wires for the antenna
there is no plugin wires for the antenna, they just touch the board on the gold parts to make contact with that black plastic piece. Try brushing it off with a tooth brush or something and making sure they touch well.
I don't have a droid turbo with me to take pics of at the moment since I did this video a long time ago. Just look behind the bottom plastic antenna piece and the top black plastic antenna piece and see where they touch on the main board and just make sure its clean. The Gold pieces that stick up on the board are what touch the plastic pieces to give/receive signal.
+pwrdbykyank If you look at a new phone that is assembled, there is a clear lens cover that appears to cover the lens hole on the back cover. My question is whether that clear lens cover is actually attached to the back cover, or attached to the front case of the phone
+pwrdbykyank Look at the image in this link drive.google.com/file/d/0BwkCrrQmwno4RVVlVWpOdDVhSjA/view?usp=sharing I know this is the mock up but it's the real camera. I have circled the lens. You can see the lens cover, it's reflecting sunlight. It coveres the hole in front of the actual lens.
Hey I cracked my screen but it still responds do I just have to replace the glass on it and if so could you provide a tutorial page, site, or video thanks
Hi, replacing the glass only is very hard and tedious work. You would need special tools and such, and the chance of cracking the screen is high. Also putting a new glass accurately over the LCD and making sure no dust and such is underneath and eliminating any touch issues is just not worth doing. Your best bet is just to get a LCD digitizer combo and save yourself the headache :)
can someone tell me what is lcd connector on this called excatly.. is it 61pin 0.5mm pitch or a 0.3mm pitch? I broke mine.. :( any help would be great.
try t5 see if that works for you, but t4 should work fine, sometimes different brands with different quality make difference in stripping or not working as well
Hi there is two speakers, one is the earpiece speaker and one is the loud speaker. When listening to music out loud, it will be using the loud speaker. They dont function both together.
yea its one loud speaker and one earpiece speaker. Loud speaker is larger in size and ear piece speaker isnt as loud and is smaller so its for phone calls so you don't go deaf or hurt your ear. The loud speaker is located on one side of the phone while the earpiece sound comes from the other side. This phone was just placed weird but usually phones have one speaker on top and the other on bottom if they have 2.
Nice video. Does it have an sd card ? My droid turbo power button doesnt work. I was doing fine without it. It would turn on with a wireless charger. One day i plugged it in after it died, next thing it was in some reboot screen. The little green android with his belly open, it gives me options which i cant select since the power button doesnt work. The only thing i want from the phone are the pictures. A local place wants $85 to repair the power button, i think that is quite high. I am not going to use the phone anymore.
Help I did this and now my phone vibrates randomly and the screen won't turn on at all. Did I do something wrong? I checked all the connectors and they're all fine
from the ones I remember, there is one on the bottom right on the main board, one on the top left of main board, and one on the back of the LCD to the top of the sim slot tray
pull the sim tray out and use a light to see if the sticker to the upper area on inside is white or red, if red then its gone off, but unless you take apart the phone, you wont be able to see the other two stickers.
Is there a single point of failure that would make both the flashlight and the camera be completely inoperable and not even seen by the phone hardware? They failed together, came back on together and then failed together and never worked again.
The flash contacts are on the back plate so if it becomes loose or isnt firmly attached, it wont touch the contacts on the board to make a connection. As for the camera not working, that would be directly connected to the main board and not have anything to do with the flash not working unless you have some sort of liquid damage that is shorting that area. Aside from that I don't see any connection to both not working together
Yes it is, the ballistic nylon 32gb doesn't have a verizon logo on the back. Regardless it is a Droid Turbo one way or another so doesn't really matter if its a Motorola Droid Turbo or a Verizon Droid Turbo, same thing.

+Doug Wing Where you bay back cover?
eBay
+Doug Wing can you link me seller ebay? i wish ballistyc nylon (blue if possible)
Just search for "Droid turbo back cover" on eBay
But, but, the nylon back costs more!

Hey pwrdbykyank, are those barcodes printed inside the phone the IMEI number, or something else? Shown @ 7:21
Yes, the IMEI just like on previous motorola phone models is printed on a thin small sticker strip on the inside of the phone :)
pwrdbykyank will those barcodes come off without tearing?
I'm not sure, Id say first try heating them up a bit with a blow dryer but again not sure.
Thanks, helped me replace LCD/Glass unit.
Do you know if the LCD is the same for the droid maxx. I just cracked the glass in my spanking new maxx. Also do you know a place that sales the full LCD assembly online? Thanks in advance!
Hi, the LCD is not the same as the droid maxx, and you can buy the complete LCD assembly on ebay :)
pwrdbykyank sorry it is not the droid maxx, i'm asking the Moto Maxx XT1225, basically this phone looks the same as the droid turbo verizon, can you please advice?
Yes it would be the same identical LCD assembly as the moto maxx xt1225
Thank you! Now looking for the part. So hard to find!
They are listed on ebay just search for droid turbo then click on replacement parts on left and you'll see them
Can you identify the location of the "external" speaker? Not the earpiece speaker, though the speaker used when putting your phone in "speaker phone" mode or when you listen to music. I just had a shop replace the battery and when returned, the external speaker will not will.
Its the silver rectangle piece on the inside of that black plastic housing that has the camera cover and the headphone jack at 6:52 time in video. Make sure they screwed it down properly so that the speaker gold contacts are touching and making a connection with the gold contacts on the board.
hey, is there a memory card that is in there? my phone broke, but I still want the pictures and such, please help!
(The droid turbo)
nope, there is no removable memory card or storage, the chips are soldered onto the board
Dang, ok thanks!
no problem :)
Thanks too. I have the same issue and question
I damaged the inside where the Sim card goes. how do I replace the Sim card compartment? please help
Do you know of a common failure point that would affect the camera and the flashlight/flash?
the flash yea, it could be caused by the back housing not being firmly attached to the midframe.
Thanks again.
quick question. accidentally broke a small chunk of the Grey plastic of the lcd connector off. Will it still work?
+pwrdbykyank where can I get one without getting burnt?
Usually ebay would be your best choice. Your covered under buyer protection for items not as described etc., and sellers are usually always willing to resolve any issues.
thanks!
it really helped in the replacement of the touchscreen of my phone
:)
no problem glad I could help :)
sir how to recover the speaker of droid turbo, and where it is?? on top??
is it possible to get a replacement battery.. i dove into the pool with my turbo and now doesnt respond
jaredpicciuto I'm not sure if I already replied, but I do have a replacement battery however if your phone has water damage, there is a good chance replacing the battery wont fix your problem.
I'm sure it does have water damage.. I went ahead and got a new phone thank you tho.
i just want to know when the sims card changed and i dont have signal or internet from verzion ...could be the anthena to fixed it? asking
Depends on your issue. No sim cards work with the phone to get signal? have you tried your sim in another phone and it works? if so try checking and making sure the bottom and top plastic pieces which have the antenna line running through it are seated properly and screwed down in place.
@@PBKreviews the Verizon store staff told me that is the Anthea I need to change
@@PBKreviews do you have hangout of Google so I can show you on a video live ple
I was hoping there would be one since all other motos had it.... but yeah i heard it only comes on when its on really low like you said.
This is NOT a teardown, it's a battery replacement. Please fix your title.
What is the display for the XT1754?
Droid turbo
MonsterHunterFanzTI What do you mean?
Thanks, this video was really helpful!
Hi is it possible for me to remove the front and back camera from the circuit board? Its a requirement at my workplace for phones to be non-camera enabled.
+Shinigamiz Hi, yes you can remove both cameras by disconnected the connector latch on the board and removing the camera. :)
+pwrdbykyank Hahaha yeah. I went ahead and did it. But just a point to note is that if the rear camera is removed the LED no longer work. 👍
Oh I see, didn't know that. Probably the board recognizes there is no camera so shuts power to those circuits.
+pwrdbykyank yup I place it back and it works fine. So I guess it between the choice of bringing the phone to my workplace or the ability to use it as a flash light Hahaha. But thanks for the reply. Really appreciate it.
lol ya, sounds good no prob.
How do you change the buttons on it???
Its somewhat hard to replace the buttons but doable. There are three tabs on the inside part of the button that you need to use a tool to push out of the frame, then pop in the new button. But its not easy to get it out of the frame so just letting you know.
i've lost my power button during a screen replacement. any idea on how to replace?
Best bet would be to look on ebay for one
hi how to find the screen XT1254 for my phone ( IN KENYA)
Isn't the droids turbo battery a little wider than the other ?
Nope same width as the droid Maxx one
Will this go against my warranty? I would like to get my memory transferred but my turbo doesn't work. Thanks!!
aChokingVictim If you do a good job taking it apart and dont damage it, I don't think they will be able to tell it was taken apart, nor make a big deal about it. But if water damage is your issue causing the phone not to work, or any physical damage, then those alone void the warranty so yep.
pwrdbykyank Thank you man!! Great video!!
I dropped my Droid Turbo the other day, and now the auto-rotate doesn't work. Which part is the accelerometer and is it able to be switched out?
+John S. Hullinger The accelerometer can't be replaced. Have you checked to see if the setting in the phone possibly got turned off for it not to auto rotate?
+pwrdbykyank Bummer. Yeah, I've restarted the phone twice and shut the setting off and then back on twice. It started acting up RIGHT after I dropped it.
sucks, does the phone still have warranty?
It's less than a year old, so probably. Funny thing, though: I dropped my phone again yesterday (I NEVER drop my phone!) and now the auto-rotate works again, haha.
lol wow that's good, at least you got it working again :)
Is the USB port solder or screwed on?
+Will Lyle its soldered on
Can you mention where is the Wifi antenna in droid turbo?
Sorry to bother. Could you please send me a screen shot of which area to brush?
I don't have a droid turbo with me to take pics of at the moment since I did this video a long time ago. Just look behind the bottom plastic antenna piece and the top black plastic antenna piece and see where they touch on the main board and just make sure its clean. The Gold pieces that stick up on the board are what touch the plastic pieces to give/receive signal.
great video! helping me with my turbo that i drop in the ocean I hope to revive it
David Ali thanks, make sure to use a brush or toothbrush and clean off all corrosion, try not to use any chemicals. Good luck :)
@pwrdbykyank Does the back cover have the plastic lens cover attached to it, or is that on the front, over the lens itself?
+Barry Graham I'm not sure I understand what you mean
+pwrdbykyank If you look at a new phone that is assembled, there is a clear lens cover that appears to cover the lens hole on the back cover. My question is whether that clear lens cover is actually attached to the back cover, or attached to the front case of the phone
The camera lens? I've dealt with many new droid turbos in my day and I don't remember any covers on any lens beside the front screen protector.
+pwrdbykyank Look at the image in this link
drive.google.com/file/d/0BwkCrrQmwno4RVVlVWpOdDVhSjA/view?usp=sharing
I know this is the mock up but it's the real camera. I have circled the lens. You can see the lens cover, it's reflecting sunlight. It coveres the hole in front of the actual lens.
oh the camera lens cover is not attached to the back housing, its attached over the camera itself.
Do you have EMMC ic re-balling video or IMEI harware solution? bcoz same mobile did not show it's imei no. after software installation.
sorry, I don't have any video on that. That requires an expert in soldering and re-balling to know how to do it.
Your best bet is just to get a LCD digitizer combo and save yourself the headache :)
pwrdbykyank thanks a bunch for the input. Do you know a good site for me to purchase the LCD digitizer combo
Check on Ebay they have a lot there.
pwrdbykyank thanks again man i really do appreciate it
anytime :)
This is a great video.
hello how, the screen of my cell phone broke, there would be the possibility to change the screen, answer me please, and how much would it cost me
Yes you can buy replacement screen assembly on ebay or amazon and replace it, not sure the exact costs, you will need to look online
can someone tell me what is lcd connector on this called excatly..
is it 61pin 0.5mm pitch or a 0.3mm pitch?
I broke mine.. :(
any help would be great.
for some reason I cant take off screws with t4 its so hard!! please help
try t5 see if that works for you, but t4 should work fine, sometimes different brands with different quality make difference in stripping or not working as well
i have one doubt about the speaker ... there is on or two speakers?
mi xt1225 i listen music just left side of the speaker ... thanx
Hi there is two speakers, one is the earpiece speaker and one is the loud speaker. When listening to music out loud, it will be using the loud speaker. They dont function both together.
so loudspeaker is for music ... but still have de doubt ... its just one loudspkeaker ... its that right?
so thats why i listen just one side ... thanx
yea its one loud speaker and one earpiece speaker. Loud speaker is larger in size and ear piece speaker isnt as loud and is smaller so its for phone calls so you don't go deaf or hurt your ear. The loud speaker is located on one side of the phone while the earpiece sound comes from the other side. This phone was just placed weird but usually phones have one speaker on top and the other on bottom if they have 2.
thanx so much
There is no SD. If you cant get it to power on, you would be out of luck on your pictures. $85 seems a bit high, I would say $60 should be reasonable.
I guess I'm going to keep searching. They won't budge. Thanks.
How come I can't find anybody who wants to try to repair MY power button? (Southern California.)
Help I did this and now my phone vibrates randomly and the screen won't turn on at all. Did I do something wrong? I checked all the connectors and they're all fine
shadow25251313 are you sure you didn't damage anything on the board? Try disassembling it completely again and re-doing it.
Where are the moisture indicators on this phone?
from the ones I remember, there is one on the bottom right on the main board, one on the top left of main board, and one on the back of the LCD to the top of the sim slot tray
I need to remove the main board to access them?
Phone fell into the sink and now won't work I'm trying to tell if the indicators are activated
pull the sim tray out and use a light to see if the sticker to the upper area on inside is white or red, if red then its gone off, but unless you take apart the phone, you wont be able to see the other two stickers.
Thinks for help
can i use this phone on lte operator any in the world ? or only in United States ? please specify this to make a offer in your publication thanks
Yes this phone has support for bands 2,3,4,7 and 13 for lte just make sure your network is using one of those bands
Hi. Anybody know how to fix a non-functioning power button for a Motorola Droid Turbo XT 1254?
Very helpful video.....Thank you!
No problem and thank you :)
Woaooooo ur amazing!!!!! Dude I got a droid turbo
Aside from that I don't see any connection to both not working together
plz sim jumper solution for Motorola droid turbo
thanks for your help bro
Sir Plz Help Me My Moto Turbo Sound Is Stopped When I Play Music,Games,Etc Why Sir Is There Any Problem In My Speakers
Its possible, or maybe your headphone jack is thinking their is headphones plugged in. Try checking if there is anything stuck in there.
Will this phone work in europe?
Yes it will :)
dem hands aint hands! those are master hands! I seen it myself @!!!! Thats what hunny bunz and macks said atleast to mahhe

RJ MoHaBBaT your welcome :)
Anyway, Moto phone worked fine after charging and pressing relocated power button.
+nicholas giannopoulos Both are great phones, but me specifically I prefer the turbo. :)
Is there anyone who repairs these mine fell out of my pocket into water and barely boots up?
check your messages, we send you a message via youtube
pwrdbykyank I'd also like to know as I dropped mine in the ocean. Thanks!
If it fell in salt water it most definitely is not repairable
thank you.
Thanks! Thanks!
Wow! Cool
That's not a Verizon Motorola Droid Turbo
Yes it is, the ballistic nylon 32gb doesn't have a verizon logo on the back. Regardless it is a Droid Turbo one way or another so doesn't really matter if its a Motorola Droid Turbo or a Verizon Droid Turbo, same thing.
I have a Turbo and it has a silver Droid logo and Verizon sticker. Sticker comes off easily with alcohol thankfully
its xt 1254
Contact me I'm interested in having your check it out for me.

Nobody gives a shit about what the inside of the back looks like.
+ryan seward What? The video title is "Disassembly " why are you pissed?
Motorola mainboard are so big an ugly. They need to learn from Samsung, HTC, apple a many other.
