Charlie's cranium is so much more evolved than a regular humans', that when they told him to draw an echidna from memory, he started by drawing the cells that build up an echidna. He was so focused on the smaller details, he didn't have time to draw a full echidna. Truly breathtaking to witness.
Charles was using superior molecular engineering skills for constructing a new evolution brunch, it was a time that allowed him to project only an insignificant part of complete plan that was in his mind

Historians are going to come across Charlie’s Eiffel Tower drawing after centuries and they’re gonna convince everyone that we lived in houses like that
It's actually not possible for everyone. I have been drawing for 35 years and can very accurately draw anything I am looking at, but I can't draw from memory. If it's something I've specifically learned to draw or drawn numerous times with a reference I can passably recreate it, but my memory distorts and loses so much detail. It's impossible to explain, because I DO remember what things look like but can't translate it.
As another artist; I agree. I mostly draw from memory because I'm too lazy to look for references. Finding the right reference can often take longer than doing the drawing (at least for me).
@@LunarEleven That sounds like you might have aphantasia. I recently found out that I have it - meaning I don't possess a mind's eye. Charlie once again proves himself to be an under-appreciated artist before his time. In years, we will look back on his art & marvel at how simply stunning it is.
Drawing from memory actually feels more and more impossible the more you try it. You wonder how professional artists do it. But after enough practice, eventually it happens just the way it does when you draw from reference. Not all at once, but in bits and peices. And the rush is extraordinary.
Yooo this is so cool! Thank you for featuring my idea on the channel! I at this point never thought I'd see it come to life since I've sent it so long ago This is the greatest art video of all time

It’s because when u see a picture of something u usually notice the outlines and contrasts and can recreate it using outlines. Memory is just a picture ur remembering and u usually remember specific details not the image in its whole. I’m dogshit at drawing from memory too but if it’s in front of me I’m pretty goof
