- Join us on an off road adventure where everything that could go wrong, did go wrong! In this video, we take two powerful and capable Hemi Jeep Wranglers out on the trails, only to face problem after problem after problem! Luckily we have good friends, positive outlooks, and good senses of humor!

9:49 - On the right trouble trail… Water in fuel. I had two neighbor vehicles that fueled at the same gas station, both had starting and engine stumbling trouble. When I check their fuel, it looked to be mixed with diesel / oily look. (Power levels were doggy with the diesel mix). ||| My pickup truck would shut off after a big bump in / on the road, at low speeds - that wound up being water in the gas. (Able to see the water at the bottom - inside the tank).
I'm giving Luna a thumbs up for her hotness and Jeeping skills.
Both jeeps surging and having issues in the same place is due to the curse of Christine. Google it. 1958 on a dirt road that used to pass right through there is where it all happened. Weird thing is Christine's owner was "Mary Britney Smith" who's first husband was James "Kevin" Brighthouse but she changed her name after he disappeared in the area in 1959. The last time they saw him was on "Light chapel road".... Too many weird coincidences here.
Observation: Watching the Off Road and Chill version of you guys on this trail.............Brittany does not like flying insects. Lol. Saw ya in the background shooing them away from your face. Good stuff.

I've off-roaded a few places where rocks had magnetism in them causing all sorts of weird electrical issues on a few different vehicles

Guess it's time to set up the Chris signal cause the Step Child is telling I miss Chris! I hate it when my Jeep gets temperamental she gets way to expensive when she does that! Hopefully you guys don't have that problem! Great video.
I hope Nitto was watching that climb at 7.00 ..it was ether going up or breaking an axle! The anti-squat in that jeep would not fit my driving style but somehow Kevin makes it work.
I thoroughly appreciate the trial and error & the attentive detail to find the behavior in vehicle . People often forget to pay attention to the behaviors 👊🏻🥃
The reason both hemi engines are having problems is obvious.
That Rock Park used old ford junked chassis as land fill before they added the rocks.
Luna complains how low the PR 80 sits, then shocked that her dana 60 spider gears are destroyed. The Dyantrac PR 80 has been bulletproof for us. I have seen several 60s explode due to wheel hope or loading. Good luck
Time for you guys to go back to your roots. Stepchild is a buggy in reality. Lets see what kevins skills are in affordable build.
It would be comical to see them try to wheel in older mechanical jeeps.
It's what they wanted it to be, but without a shop and a tech, once it starts having problems, it's gonna be interesting...
All the hemi swapped jeeps are buggy. Just when you think that you have all the bugs worked out another one comes back.
You must be a new sub. They wheeled the stepchild on 33’s or 35’s for months when they first bought it a few years ago. As the channel grew so did the stepchild 🤙
I think Kevin has plenty of skill to run a “budget build,” but I would still enjoy watching him wheel in something like an 83 Toyota with detroits and 37’s.

Hay Kevin I don't if they make this product it's OutLaw gas treatment I use to use it all the time. I've gotten several bad gas ⛽️ I have 4.3 GMC SONOMA.

Tell Luna to look for bad chassis grounds first. Could be the alternator but they usually either work or don’t work.
Did you both get gas at the same place? Sounds like you both got some bad fuel
Sometimes simple builds are better at rock climbing, this jeep is far far from simple. I’m not into rock climbing but seems to be a perfect hobby to put a big hole into a bank account.
Sometimes you can disconnect the battery (consult vehicle with diode)while running and verify the voltage output on the gauge . You might clean the maf and see ;)

Maybe the tune not right for the elevation change from west to east coast.
I think I got bad gas a few weeks ago in my Hemi (5.7L Grand Cherokee). I didn't have surging but it has been starting harder than normal. But like many others here, I do think that's your most likely culprit.
It's just some gremlins getting loose on the jeeps. Just chase the issues out and party on. Happy Trails to you both.
There should be some sort of pressure switch/valve that controls the hydraulic pressure when under load, and if it's not working properly it would cause that surging when you turn hard. I'm not sure exactly how that pump works, but that new pump may have an issue, or something may just need to be adjusted.
coincidentally, I just fixed a positive cable that was snug, but not tight on my starter lug...doesn't take much to cause problems
Definitely soundless like you both got bad gas at your last stop. Try 4 ounce of methyl hydrate in the gas tank , this will make the water 🔥. CHEERS AND SAFE TRAVELS Steve h.

Electrical problems in both vehicles. Perhaps magnetism in the rocks. I think you found Bermuda Triangle North. Kevin...Squirrel!
On your Jeeps ,sounds like it also could be a grounding issue or vacuum mayb got stretched. I guess I’m gonna have to keep watching now to find out what you find out.. good luck

It’s the earths magnetic field combined with the gravitational pull causing a magnetic distortion

Bad gas. If you both filled up at the same station that would explain why both are showing similar symptoms.
Guys go get a domestic, arb or other good brand fridges . It’s a must have . Cold beer, tequila ice cream ect ect. Keep munchies in there . Get one trust me . I love mine .

@litebrite If your running a tune on the computer for the v8 swaps might be the tuning due to higher or lower altitude depending were the altitude level was at were it got tuned??

I’m new to jeeps I have a 2015 two door jk 6 cylinder 6speed manual sitting on 35s what’s a good first upgrade I’m in eastern Oregon the Pendleton area
Being on 35’s is already the first step, upgrading to 4.56 or 4.88 gears will make a huge difference on and off road
@@packbacker10 I agree. I did 4.88's and my rpm at highway speed matched the rpm with the stock sized tires. Second upgrade which I suggest to do at the same time as the gears is Detroit Lockers, front and rear.

I noticed the front was disconnected also. Interested to hear your feedback, what is different about how the Jeep performs and overall pros and cons. I remember the trail in Arizona you thought you could make if both disconnected. I am just curious how much difference it makes.

I would encourage you guys to invest in an older Toyota Landcruiser FJ-40 a 78 or 79 is a great year, put posi traction in it bigger tires and a little bit of lift. No it doesn’t have power steering, power brakes or air conditioning so theirs less to break. They are bulletproof and rarely break, plus they are a lot cooler looking than a Jeep and everyone and their grandma doesn’t have one. 😊
