Awesome review as always. I remember you reviewing and eating at this place before. Always good.
I bought a gift certificate for Kings for my son for his birthday based on your last Kings video.. He and his wife loved the food! Thanks again!!
That's great! Can't go wrong with a King's gift card.
Great video! The food looks so delicious, it’s worth the 45 minute drive. I love mochi so those donuts are on my ‘must-try’ list. 😊
My last time at King's Bakery was at South King Street in Honolulu. Thank you for posting this, it brought back memories!!!
Mahalo for sharing Bill & Lisa !!! We LOVE Kings Hawaiian Bakery !!!
You're very welcome, Gail!
Great video as always.... 😁👍
Aloha Bill and Lisa 🌺
Its always a pleasure to see you both. Mahalo for sharing your food vlog with us. We don't have a Kings Bakery/Restaurants in Hawaii. You are very lucky to have this in California. 🤗 Love all the food you have ordered from Pupu's, lunch plates, and desserts. Mochi donut and ice cream looks so yummy! 😋 Halloween cupcakes would be great for anytime of the day! That was my favorite! 😋 once again, Mahalo for sharing! 🤙🏼 Keep up the great work! Aloha 🌺
Howzit Rebecca! Yes, we're happy and lucky to have King's close to us. For any special occasion, a King's cake is our go to, always a hit! Aloha!
'Hellllo" ! i said to a work colleague today when i came back from Long Service Leave today and they said it back haha :) it's catching on Lisa !
Looks like King’s made good uogrades for the better. Thanks for the sharing!
wOAH!!! I used to go there as a child!! I remember that large pineapple and the round column fish tank. Nostalgic for sure!

Everything looks delicious !
Nice place nice food good location must try my next visit to Torrance thanks for sharing
Ohh! Everything looked so good! I had jury duty in June and found it fascinating!
Lisa eats oxtail like my mom did ❤❤ sounds so good!
Thanks for reminding me of the days of Kings Bakery when it was located in Honolulu. I still have fond memories of the original bakery located at King and McCully Street in Honolulu - you can probably see a photo of the original location in Torrance. The soup is looking great - must have paired well with a buttered Hawaiian Sweet roll. This is making me consider driving down to Torrance from San Jose soon - LOL. Hope you took home some of the round loafs of Hawaiian sweet bread, which was the original-style of their bread. Wishing you both another delicious review soon. Much aloha and 🧧! 🤙
Hi Bill! Yes, the original location photo is up on the wall in the restaurant. We didn't pick up any bread this trip, but is readily available to us whenever we crave it. Aloha!
@@billandlisa Keep-up the great reviews. Looking forward to seeing you enjoy some oxtail saimin on the next Kings Bakery review. I saw some guava cakes which looked yummy, also; however, all the “Goodies” were yummy at Kings. Best wishes, great regards and cheers to you and ohana! 🧧
The bakery originated in Hilo and was called Kings bakery
Great video and I can't get over the prices...that's an incredible deal! I'm still getting over the sticker shock in Waikiki. The oxtail soup looks fantastic...way to go Lisa, best description of an oxtail soup of all time 😆😉
Hi @Tim Lee!! I hope your doing well! I really want to go there to try that PLATTER!!!😍😍😍
Thanks Tim! Yes, prices in HI can get rather expensive. Lisa loves her oxtails! lol
Mochinuts are pure love ❤️
I loved that ox tail soup, delicious 😋!
Man that pupu platter looks so good!!
The guava cookies taste and smell wonderfully!
the hawaiian food looks good especially the egg and rice
Iris and I are headed here Saturday for lunch!!!! Can’t wait! We hope to meet you two someday.
You'll love it!

YOU VIDEOS ARE SIMPLY AMAZING. EVERYTHING LOOKS SO GOOD. THANKS FOR SHARING, KEEP UP THE EXCELLENT WORK 👏👏
Thank you, Tracey. We appreciate that. =)
I had no idea they had these restaurants...
I'm not a huge fan of their rolls, but they're food there looks amazing...
Thank you so much for taking us a long
1 in Torrance and 1 in Gardena.
Torrance one on Sepluveda is the main one and the Local Place near the their factory and Headquarters on Western.
Great to see Christopher joining you on this visit. Kings Hawaiian looks so good!!! We all love those warm buns too. That is a restaurant/bakery you never want to leave!!!
Happy Christopher joined us too. Hardest part is not getting bakery items to go. lol. #warmbuns
Hi Bill!! Hi Lisa!!
We were just there a few weeks ago! I always have to have the ahi poke, but it has to be the pupu one, because I don’t care for the sriracha mayo sauce that they used to put on the dinner portion one. Oh Lisa…..I love the oxtail soup, and will think of you and Bill and the comment Bill made, the next time I’m sucking the bone! 😂 The huli-huli chicken off the mix plate, the charsiu off the breakfast platter are some of our favs. Not to mention the lomi lomi salmon and the chicken long rice. OMGEEE! I want to go back now! Thank you for showing the pupu platter, because I have always wanted to try it, but never have. Now I will! Those kalua pork nachos looked amazing, and I love that the crunch was still on the chip, when Bill took the bite. I’m with you both, the paradise cake is a family fav, as is the chocolate haupia pie. Have you tried that yet? You’re both so lucky to live nearby. The South Bay has all of the yummy places to eat. After we moved to LA, back in the late 70’s, Sakai Sushi in Gardena, quickly became the place for my parents to drive to for sushi to take to picnics and BBQs. Thank you both for sharing so many delicious places with us! We are currently in Oregon visiting our son. As soon as we get home, I’m heading to King’s Hawaiian! 🥰 Take care!
Hi Mary! Yes, love the chocolate haupia and can’t forget the chocolate dream too!
Give those nachos a try next time, they’re amazing. Sakai isn’t too far from us either. We’ve gotten their California rolls for the plane ride, they’re perfect travel foods. 😋. You know Lisa loves her oxtails!! 🤣
Oh yeah, stay tuned for PDX vlogs! 👍🏼
Hello Bill and Lisa! Sinful stroll down the baked goods…I want to make a trip for the fruit tart and the oxtail soup! Thank you for sharing! Thanks Christopher for filming! Definitely going for Ahi😊! Have a great week everyone…
We've had their fruit tart, it's excellent! Have a great week!
Ok Bill, I don't usually get on you but this time I am! You were supposed to give the pumpkin ring to Lisa!! Lmaooooo 🤣🤣🤣
You got me, Darryl! LOL!!!
Cinnamon Pullapart Bread - fry in butter, oh my!
I’ve been to the smaller King’s on Western Blvd. more than the main restaurant on Sepulveda. Didn’t know they had such a wide variety of baked goods and other desserts - will need to hit it up next time I’m in the South Bay.
(Have you visited a Porto’s Bakery & Cafe? It’s a must whenever I’m in SoCal, often twice a day. Luv the cheese rolls, coconut strudel, breakfast wrap, and the awesome Parisian Chocolate Cake.)
We love Porto’s! Here’s a video we did a while back.. ruclips.net/video/4YkxRWg5dwc/видео.htmlsi=zXusWFBzsHJO9cyr
@@billandlisa Thanks!
I love Kings! The Paradise Cake is always the best one! 😊
Agreed!

Wow you guys I never knew this was a restaurant just thought it was rolls and just like breads good to know👍
I wish you showed what Christopher got I was dying to know! Looks delicious 😋
He got the same as me, chicken Katsu curry.
Hi Bill and Lisa, Shirley here! Can’t wait to try this restaurant the next time I’m down at Disneyland on my travel day. I love Oxtail Soup and I really want to try the Pupu Platter. Got to get me some mochi donuts too and try the Paradise cake. Everything looks so yummy!!! Thanks for the great food tour! Another great video, as usual! Happy Halloween!! 🎃🎃🎃👋👋😏
Hi Shirley! Getting all you mentioned will be an epic meal, might have to bring a friend. lol. Happy Halloween!
Awesome Video Bill & Lisa😊
Thanks Christine!
Hi Bill and Lisa, we tried this place last week and really enjoyed it! Not sure if you’ve ever tried Island Sushi and Grill on Eastern/215 in Vegas, but their oxtail soup was awesome - according to my mom and husband. You should try the malasadas too! Hope you enjoy it soon 😊. Happy Halloween 🎃
Thanks for the oxtail soup rec, Michelle!
You guys have put this on my bucket list! Can't wait to go, I live in San Diego so maybe soon!
Not too far, lots more great LA eats here too!
Just love you guys!
🤗
Hi Bill and Lisa. All that food and the desserts looked so good. I always liked spam too but I don't know about it in sushi lol. Take care.
Howzit Bill and Lisa! Everything looked ono! So bummed we don’t have King’s Bakery here anymore, so thanks for sharing your visits there! Take care, Linda 🤙❤️🤙
Howzit Linda! Yes, we know the locals are bummed at no more King's, but at least the sweet breads can still buy. Aloha!
Mac potato salad mixed? That sounds interesting
Hi you two!!! So good to see you! Last time I saw you , you were with dear Tim at DISNEYLAND!!! OMG! That was just SO fun!!!! Agreed! They got that one down to perfection.
Hello my lovely pair! ❤️ We definitely need to visit King’s Hawaiian on our next SoCal food crawl! That Pu Pu platter looks SO good. Lisa… I’m a bone licker here! 🙋🏻♀️🦴😆 Looking forward to trying that Paradise cake. 🍰🧁😋 Thanks for taking us along. Kaaa-chooooow! 🎃💍🧡 Arlene
Hi Arlene! You will love the Pupu Platter and the Paradise cake! Kaaa-chooooow!
I really like the spooky intro art! 💀🎃💀
Thank you, Lisa! Our Artist, Drew, is amazing!
That’s great to try New Things out.
Honestly, said
Been to Kings a million times and love it - have you tried Back Home in Lahaina up in Carson? Highly recommend it! Bakery is no comparison to Kings but the food is great.
Been a while since we last visited there.
Thanks for sharing.🙏🏽❤️✨🥰💫🌟☀️🪅💥🦟🪰🦂⭐️⭐️⚡️🌝
Very welcome, Devon. =)
Love oxtails, usually make more of a stew with them, more Jamaican style. Yes, I suck the bones dry.
Oh that looked soooo delicious! I was just going to look up what lilikoi was and then Lisa said it was passion fruit. Learn something new every day. God forbid I ever need a jury, I’d love to have someone level headed like Lisa on it. I hope you’re able to break away to New Orleans during spooky season! 👻🎃💀
Thanks Sue! You know us, we would love to visit NOLA at Halloween, but sadly not this year, Lisa has to work on that Monday.
What a restaurant!! Jaw on ground really surprised over prices for the high quality! Wish they were in my state!!!thankyou!!!😇😇
I love oxtails and gnawing on the bones! Great call Lisa! 🤩🤩🤩🤤🤤🤤❤️🔥❤️🔥
Thank you 😋
Well, Bill and Lisa, I had corned beef and hash there and it fell short. Good luck on your blogs.
Fair enough. That type of CBH isn't for everyone, it's something we both grew up eating.
Luv your videos!
Kahlua pork nachos? No salsa? Ok, Teri sauce looks great. That seafood platter with those onion rings look fantastic!
We'd imagine you can ask for salsa, they serve it with their breakfast burrito (which is amazing!).
Some day you have to come to adirondacks upstate NY for fall leaves change beautiful
We're heading to MSP this week, hopefully will catch the Fall leaves.
@@billandlisa have fun guys 😀☺️
Thanks for showing the menu prices!
“I can suck on these bones all day - Just like a pro” 😂😂😂. Do I just have a filthy mind or do Bill and Lisa try and drop subliminal 😅😅😅. Hilarious either way
The oxtail looks good. I love oxtail.
From liking hot buns to sucking a bone like a pro😂😂. I love you guys lol!!
Lots of food yummy
They shoulda added the mochi donut to the mochi flight. Everyting mochi!
Ok,guys, you talk to me into it, I am going to that restaurant today!…👍👍😘!!
Sweet! Enjoy!
King's Hawai'ian joints are those which I sorely miss having here in Seattle.
❤ I love the company's breads and rolls, though, which we do have here, thankfully. ❤
😋 Yummmmmm!
☀ It's 85 F (obviously not Celsius!) here in Seattle. I am reveling in our record-breaking (by 15 degrees, yet!) nice, HOT weather!! 😎
It does sound unusually hot there. lol. We were just there a few weeks ago and needed a jacket. lol
@@billandlisa Gosh, is that right, Bill? Well, it’s marvelous now. All sweat, no jacket, LOL.
Hello Bill & Lisa❤
Hi Christine!!
I’ve to go to young’s Hawaii bbq for katsu curry . The oxtail looks good. Locomotor looks good. That sucks you got jury duty.
Pupu platter looks like a great value! I wonder what price will be in a year.
One day I'll bump into you guys!!!
Please say Hi if you see us!
Have u guys been to Gardena Bowl? Got good Hawaiian style foods too yum!
Yes, we have! Check it out here… ruclips.net/video/vWIOXTHTCFg/видео.html
The food looked so yummy, but unfortunately there was not a lot that you ordered I could ea😢t, still makes my mouth water. Bill I noticed you were wearing you Dodgers shirt sorry the Padres took it. It was looking real hopeful they were gonna take it. There’s always next year.
Agreed, always next year. =)
I hope Wen I come vacation that we meet you guys
When are you coming back to Hawaii? When are you going to Japan?! I booked my Nihon trip for November. Many seats open right now, so it's a great time.
Both great questions, Justin. We have some time off coming in December. That's the big question for us right now, where to?? lol. Have a great time in Japan, we know you will!
