    Honestly... Really robust, well engineered boat, with reliable Scania diesel engines. Still looks saveable. Just needs an owner with enough care.

    It is a 200-boat, from the Swedish navy, adapted for pulling sea goals ie. a towline 2000+ and something for the coastal artillery to shoot at. They are now scrapped but take a look at the three digit number and engine numbers and you will find who bought from the Swedish gov. Let him/her/hen PAY for environmental damage. Tree engines, Scania approx 200 hp each ... 18-20 knots max... 18 tonnes as I remember ...

      It is the human condition to fuck things up for every one else, Since man first took cover and lived in caves, It only took less then a day for a cave man to take a shit one step out side the cave, and two days after that, they just shit right in the cave.

    It is an Tpbs boat 200 from the swedish coastal artillery.
    They where taken out of service in the late 90s.
    They were used as landing wessels and could carry mines and depthcharges.

    Swedish military 200 series landing craft. Did my service on one of these. wonderful boat. You can see the landing doors up front. It would be fun to know what serial number this one had. This one have the double steering cabin which was not common, most had a single cabin only.
    Most of them got refitted with 2 engines for efficiency and they all came with different settings. Not all had machine guns. This one have the rails for sink bombs still.

    translated: The shutters are released only after the boat has landed and the boat manager has given a clear sign (FRAMÅT!) Then the soldiers rush out of the boat as quickly as possible and then move forward in their respective directions. Everything must be extremely fast because the full maneuvering success is based on surprise and speed. To make a good landing, you have to peek each other really in the boat to get enough adrenaline and MOMENTAL ANDA. This is conveniently done with songs and fights. It sounds incredibly ridiculous that you need to sing and scream, but it's actually necessary to get really loaded.

      they are half under water, so i'm sure those engines are ruined alright. I would get a blowtorch and cut the boat into pieces
      and sell for scrap metal.

    • @3DPeter
      @3DPeter 6 лет назад +2

      Seals do get hard and start to leak, and salt water wil corode past those seals, so salt water wil enter the eniges. And not to forget the
      salt water vapor that is in that engine room, and water wil get into the crank breather tube, so i'm sure those engines are shot.
      Sure they could be overhauled, but are those old engines worth that money/ Because they look old, so who wants such antique
      crap?

    • @tonyanderson7854
      @tonyanderson7854 6 лет назад +7

      3DPeter those “antiques” look like 11 litre units Very capable reliable engines. The bilge water they are sat in looked heavy with oil and surrounding metalwork is not rusty. Sure they would need work. But I’d be happy to find that and claim it look at ot he you tube content with Scania motors I’m not sure what that boats been but enough power to be a tug

      If you look closer, that hatch was open when he got there. As you see him driving alongside the boat in the very beginning of the video that hatch is open.
      Correction, I didn't watch the whole video before I made that comment. I see he did open the hatch at the end, but I think he closed it. It was a forward hatch that was open.

      Actually, this boat isn't in as bad shape as you may think. Remove all the garbage and clean up the inside then chip and paint the outside it would look totally different. There is actually a nice chunk of money sitting there if someone put a little TLC into it. Why someone would just abandon it like that doesn't make much sense unless it was stolen.

  • @ammoalamo6485
    @ammoalamo6485 5 лет назад +2

    "Landings
    A 200-boat accommodates 40 people, ie a pluton, Stridsboat 90H only holds half a pluton.
    Landing with 200-boat can be easily difficult. Mostly because it is difficult to get out of the boat vigorously when there is a lot of load in the front of the transport space. The boat has two front ramps in the book (a port and a starboard), behind which there is an inner door on either side.
    As you approach the beach, the plunger packs into the boat as far as possible in a predetermined order. When it remains 500 meters to the beach, open the interior doors and make the shutters ready for precipitation and start shooting on the beach with Ksp from the lava. Should someone drop the gap, the boat should take in water and immediately sink. Staff on deck orientate the force continuously about conditions on the beach, distance, terrain, enemy position, etc.

      The swedish navy seals used this boat ,they have two front hatches and they run up the boat on land hard .

      Not a torpedo boat because the engines are not powerful enough. Looks like truck-size engines, maybe kinda 400hp a piece or so. But still a quite fast ship.
      Nice lines too! I like it!
      I think it is not in a super bad shape... like a raw diamond, haha 😄 but it needs help soon!

      I dont think all 3 engines propelled the boat, The one on the port side did not look like it had a drive coupling, more then likely just a generator,

    • @CarLos-yi7ne
      @CarLos-yi7ne 6 лет назад +4

      eric wsmith Those engines are all three exactly the same. They are all three for the purpose: getting the thing forward... 😉
      Would be an quite big generator for such a small ship! 🤨

    FREE BOAT!! NO LEAKS! IN WATER! NEEDS WORK! Close the topside hatch covers. Most of the water in the engine room is probably fresh from rain and snow entering thru open hatches. I would bet that it has a very thick hull and probably has alot of life left for the right person!

    locks to me like it was tied off with care and still floating. it could with some TLC be used again.

    She's actually very salvageable. If it's abandoned then it's claimable. If it's owned I'll bet you it would be real cheap if not free. A bit of dish and tons of elbow grease this would be a great vessel to kick around on.

      Don't know, I'd guess the hull is a bit fubar, probably cost as much to make even seaworthy as it would to buy one that's already there......hence the abandoned state she's in.

    You can get an idea about why this boat is abandoned if you look for clues.
    -The impeller sitting next to the controlls.
    -Steering wheel removed
    -Engines at 10,000+ hours if you look carefully at the meter at helm, but in engine room they read below 4,000 hours.
    -amount of oil residue on oil funnel.
    Looks like someone used this boat well and didn't have the money to rebuild or repower and upkeep the hull. The engines probably needed another rebuild. The impeller sitting out on the helm leads me to believe that she probably overheated in her last moments of cruising.
    You can tell whoever owned this boat was not equipped to maintain it as demonstrated by the portable diesel generator sitting on deck: TBQH it's good this boat is no longer in service becaus if what we can see is this janky just imagine what we don't.

      I do not think it floats, pretty sure its already sitting on the bottom, from the portable generator on the deck, I would say at least one engine no longer works, The owner of the boat did the most honorable thing he could think of, abandoning it there instead of sticking some marina with it

      Port and stern wheels ( propellers ) and a generator.

    • @CarLos-yi7ne
      @CarLos-yi7ne 6 лет назад +2

      eric wsmith So your conclusion is: a generator on port side, a propellor in the middle and one on starboard?? That is not the right conclusion if you ask me. 😄

    Cool video! Must have been some sort of work boat & those Scania engines look decent. I'd be into hunting down the owner & seeing if an engine would run.
