    Please remember you heard it here Adam, even if I am not still around to see it happen; After you have done what you need to do at middle distances, you absolutely have the right stuff to run great half marathons.

    At last someone who understands the link between training effort and racing performance. Most would question- why is a miler doing this 😮Makes perfect sense to me. Many other YT runners should take note !

    In a 10km Training approach, probably a "Fast solid" LongRun would be good and so a "Treshold" workout(double or single with big volume) obviously. My Question is : a more "speed" oriented workout (like 300s or 400s at 5k-3k pace with big volume and little rest ) would help the 10km runner ? I am in a dillema if those speed sessions are hiding the Reality of a 10km Race (because of the short length of the reps) and maybe "Longer"(600-1km) Length reps(even at 8-10k pace) is better because the HOLD of Racepace and not the Faster SPEED is what you need in 10km. Correct me if im wrong please 🙏

    Awesome session! I’m curious-how many easy days do you usually take to recover after a session like that?

    • @adam_fogg
      @adam_fogg  11 дней назад +2

      Thank you! This is day 9 of our 9 day cycle so we then have 2 easy days (day 1 and day 2), with gym on the first and some speed development + strides on the 2nd, day 3 is then a double workout day of 16-19 miles (25-30k) total volume

    I swear bro is the definition of ELITE, how am I supposed to get two speed workouts and a fast longer run if I’m following the 8020 rule

    • @adam_fogg
      @adam_fogg  12 дней назад +3

      Run more easy mileage or forget the 80/20 rule, we definitely don’t quite follow the 80/20 rule but our easy days are very easy and we take those days slow to recover and be ready for the big days
