A fun thing to do with speaker magnets is to put one in the bottom of an empty paper coffee cup, put the lid on, and stick it on the roof of your car by the driver's side. Then you can drive around town and have people honking and pointing at you!
Yeah, magnets are great! As a Carpenter, I'd suggest keeping all your magnets and when you have extra make wheelie magnet rakes and sell them to roofers, they are always dropping tire killing nails on the driveway. Those are great to clean up after re roofing a place
Individual speaker drivers, especially from good brand (jbl, celestion, and so on) are worth good money on ebay. Aswell as crossover units, and brand badges.

I used to get the magnets from microwave magnetrons. Man those magnets were strong. I just realised subwoofers have even bigger ones in them.
