As a customer of Yorkshire Building Society I am appalled by this act of discrimination and victimisation. Below is a copy of my complaint to the Society:
I read with disbelief regarding your closure of a vicar’s account at short notice and with no proper explanation.
Such action is tantamount to discriminatory, repressive and totalitarian behaviour.
It is very worrying for all customers that you appear to have become a blatantly intolerant and politicised organisation that chooses to only serve customers that echo the beliefs of a small management clique.
I look forward to a full reply as a matter of urgency as I am sure that my deep concerns are shared by the vast majority of your customers.

The U.K. hasn't been a functional "Democracy" for years. Think of the policies that the majority want, Minimal immigration, forget "net zero" idiocy, etc. etc. but still it continues regardless .

The Vicar is absolutely right. This building society should stay on the subject of looking after people's money and not get involved in social engineering. The vast majority of people in the UK will agree with this Vicar.
They do, but if customers want to open communication with the business then they do it with respect. Differing opinion is fine, calling all transgenders animals and nonces in writing, is not fine.
Take a case against them on the grounds that they are discriminating against you on your religious beliefs and freedom of speech

Or alternatively get loads of like minded people to put the minimum savings in the building society, they then become a member and are entitled nominate and vote directors to the board, attend the AGM or demand an SGM and raise issues to be voted on.

Find out what large companies bank with them and write to them to demand they stop banking with them as the bank is discriminating against people.
So would they close the accounts of all catholic clergy because they for sure would have an opinion opposite to the banks supporting "Pride" groups.

I thought it was odd when large corporations and Councils started to claim to have values without consulting anybody on what those values should be.
This is a very important point. Who is deciding what the values of each business or institution should be, and what is thrir qualification or merit that entitles them to make such a decision?
