Pileated Woodpecker Calls and Sounds

Here the iconic sounds of the Pileated Woodpecker! In this video you can see multiple pileated woodpeckers making different calls. These are sounds you might hear in your yard or in the woods. Their calls are similar to the sounds of the Northern Flicker and are often confused. But the Pileated Woodpecker call is louder and more powerful than the Northern Flicker's call because it is a larger woodpecker.
