Binging with Babish: Imaginary Pie from Hook

The Neverland feast from Hook holds a special place in all our hearts, memories, and "You're a 90s Kid If..." lists on Buzzfeed. I've been resisting making the neon-colored pies, despite their being hotly requested, for some time - namely because I think they're just pie shells filled with whipped cream. But this week, more than most weeks, we're using our imaginations!

This man actually just rolled out imaginary dough for enough time to time lapse it. What a legend.
I'm Thomas Tulak. I played the youngest Lost Boy in Hook. I was the one that said, "you're doing it, Peter." and "Goodnight Neverland!" ... Some one sent this to me, saying it made them think of me. I watched this, not knowing what to expect. I really enjoyed this. I was totally ticked by the imaginary pie! Bangarang! ...I'm going to share this with a few people who will appreciate it... You're definitely doing it, Babish!
Oh my God that's amazing

i actually watch these videos in the background while i draw in another window so i literally had no visual and didnt realize the video was a joke until halfway through where he says "i dont know if you guys have noticed but this is an imaginary pie" so i had to switch windows and rewind the video to watch this man make literally nothing with imaginary ingredients in disbelief. i had visualized him with real ingredients while i drew so seeing the audio linked up to literal air in his hands felt genuinely crazy. i didnt realize at all, i never suspected a single thing, i was thoroughly and utterly bamboozled by the babish.
