Since there seems to be some conflict in the replies section, I'm just going to clear some things up factually:
The conflict at Yorktown didn't take place during the Second World War, the Siege of Tobruk consisted of Australians and New Zealanders (Commonwealth but not British) and Dunkirk wasn't a complete encirclement like Stalingrad or the Battle of the Bulge. The only real time the British got surrounded on a large scale I believe might've been during Operation Market Garden (which was intentional - they’re paratroopers!)

Ahh, the Battle of the bulge movie. With some of the funniest deaths ever shot in a war film. With pattons as Tiger IIs and Chaffes as shermans and with the power to change summer to winter and back again in a few scenes. Good times.

Problem is that they are singing the first stanza over and over, but it still makes me want to invade France every time I hear it.
An especially good reference because they used M47s to stand in for Tigers/Panthers in that film. Certainly made me chuckle thinking back to how strange that was to see. I do hope we'll be seeing a video featuring the Chieftain at some point in the future

Squire, I dont know if you meant to reference this, but Centurion no. 169041 actually survived a nuclear blast during a test, with almost all inner appliances working. (Gun, engine, etc.) But shortly thereafter was knocked out by a single RPG round.

Canada was the breadbasket for the British empire during ww1 and Canadian troops fought throughout the war most notably at vimy ridge. In ww2 Canadian troops fought in Africa and Sicily and made the failed landing at dieppe and the successful landing at Juno and also liberated most of the Netherlands
