I read the book many years ago, I remember the atmosphere and its magical realism (or even surrealist elements?). I was living in Japan back then and that made the reading specially relevant.
Dance Dance Dance, a novel thick with atmosphere. I’m with you, as a Harukisit, it is a gorgeous place to go and just be. I read it at least once a year.
Dance3x is my absolute favorite Murakami. It is not a boring book at all. It has so many different characters and so many different places. Every time I read it, I rediscover it all. It is such a fascinating epos that I 'd love to dive in right away!
I just finished Dance Dance Dance yesterday. Like you, I could not stop reading it and finished it in a couple of days. While I understand how some people might not like it (it is a very slow book with not much action / plot happening especially in the middle part), I was completely captivated by the vibe of it. While not my favourite Murakami book (this has to be Windup Bird), it is definitely one that I liked very much. Its great to see that other people think very similarly of this book! Great video, and keep up the work man!
Great book! I will be rereading as many of his works as possible next year. I look forward to 2024 Murakami year for me 💕
