The whole league is a faux. Apparently your highest paid player can take a no pay suspension for injuring your rival, and that frees up cap space to solidify your team. Because apparently there is no salary cap in the playoffs. Team management has got to learn to think outside the box.

yeah i watched them but i didn't watch a full game since November, which I promised myself last leason already. I tuned into the last two games in R2 after we won two straight and said "hey maybe im wrong," but no as soon as I did they started sucking. It's amazing how they can hoodwink you so I didn't invest at all, and thus I don't feel hoodwinked. Rebuild. See you in ten years, playoffs.

The Florida Panthers have figured out the Leafs, & they are powerless to do anything about it.
They had then figured out two years ago. They forgot that for the 1st 2 and a half games then remembered. They are chocking them out like they did 2 years ago. I called it after game 3 loss that Florida is winning next 4. Bobby is back to being Bobby, leafs can't score on him anymore.
I wouldn't say it's the panthers beating the leafs so much as the leafs beating themselves in this game. That's not to take anything away from Florida, they look like the reigning cup champs and are playing with the swag. But this loss is more on what the leafs weren't doing compared to what the panthers were.

It went wrong as soon as Dubas decided to go after Tavares and pay him $11M a season. And then followed that up by overpaying Mathews and Marner and giving them NMC, when they had not won anything.

What about the Core 4 makes them disappear in the playoffs? It's unique to the Leafs. Is it conditioning? Are the players being coddled? Are they being beaten down by the coaches? Is it a problem with their agents or family meddling with the team? Is there an alcohol problem with one or more players they won't talk about? What is it?
