Hello, I have had a CL500 for 8 months and have driven 11,000 km. It's not the prettiest, it's not the fastest, it's not extra off-road, but it's comfortable with low consumption, proven quality engine, I take it everywhere. There is no adequate replacement at the given price level. Yes, I don't see China as a substitute for any Japanese brand. Try selling an 8 year old Honda and an equally old Chinese... Almost the same prices when buying now. An example of probably the only relevant Chinese CFmoto. If you know what you want and what this bike has to offer, you can't go wrong. I recommend it with a clear conscience. 👍
Seems to me that you are not the right guy to ride this scrambler and find its value that brings you fun. For me, that CL500 is exactly the bike designed for me. So different the opinions are 🤭🏍️
It's nothing jerky about the throttle. You obviously don't know how to ride well. The CL500 is one of the smoothest bikes on the market. We pu 3,000miles on it it is a fantastic Bike all around.

the LCD screen is a joke, can't imagine this being readable in a Mediterranean summer. Time they use e-ink on those displays.

As a distant viewer, the first thing I find ridiculous is the exhaust. After this review I am certain this bike is a lemon.
