說起俄軍戰機，你會第一時間想起蘇霍伊、伊爾、米格等這些耳熟能詳的名字。與這些聲名赫赫的明星戰機相比，有一種飛機顯得格外低調，那就是拉式飛機，它在螺旋槳飛機時代達到了巔峯。第二次世界大戰期間，有兩款木製戰機創造了奇蹟。一款是皇家空軍的“蚊”式戰鬥機，另一款就是蘇軍的拉-5系列戰鬥機。二戰時期，蘇聯空軍每3架殲擊機中就有一架是拉式飛機。
