I used to have a pull box back in the late 80’s all the way until 2001. The longest I ever was behind on picking up comics was about 8 weeks. However back then I was reading almost everything and trying everything. That being said I believe I had about 400 comics waiting for me. My LCS owner just brought me a long box and said, “These are yours” lol.
I like the rocking intro. Really reminds me of rock guitarists playing near crowned bus stations. As floods of folks busily pass never paying attention to the hip beats making their passing on the hip side😝
These are the guys I would want to talk with if I ran a comic shop. I may not always agree with their opinions, but they are genuine in their opinions. These aren't the "geek chic" crowd. And Corey is an all right guy.
Glenn says John Romita Jr cannot draw, Glenn you may at anytime if you're so inclined submit your artwork to Marvel and perhaps you'll get your name on the Spider-Man book instead of John Romita Jr.
So you're telling Glenn to withhold his opinion? Good luck with that? Everyone has a writing style or an art style they prefer. Glenn just has a special way of conveying it.
Romita (not Ramita, which can't be a typo because you wrote it twice). I agree with you that Glenn's taste is that of a narrowminded adolescent fanboy. But the comeback of "If you don't like it let's see you draw that well" is always dopey. There are music critics, art critics, sports commentators, etc. who may suck at all of those disciplines, but still have valid opinions. Glenn's problem is that he like's old Romita from his first issues of Iron Man when JR JR's style was functional but generic, and he hates the very distinct stylized approach that has made JR so instantly recognizable (and polarizing). As stated, Glenn's tastes likely didn't evolve past the age of 12 so he still likes what he did as a child.
