Thanks Brian! I started RC Airplanes at 63... thanks to my son. I'm now up to 8 planes with an EDF on the way. Low skills have resulted in my taking the walk of shame more than I like... but your videos give me hope! Thanks again.
Love the Pitts. Love watching you guys. In fact, ive tried watching some of the other RC channels on YT. And i just cant get into their format. Im like, "Where's the witty banter with the camera crew? Where's the overly informative explanation for questions no one asked 😉?" Started watching BPRC about 6-8 months ago. And im totally hooked. My wife even bought me a UMX TimberX (used the links) and DX6e to beat up. And i had an XBC100, Foam2Foam, QTips and shelf liner all ready go before the box arrived. I loooove flying it!! Though my wife would say i actually love fixing it more- currently waiting for the latest repairs to dry 😅. Thanks, you guys, for introducing me to this awesome hobby. Im truly hooked. 👍
Just bought my F4U-4 Corsair 1.2M because of watching you fly it. Just getting back into the hobby after alot of years. When I start flying it, I will be flying in safe until I get used to it. Thank you for the inspiration.
I love my FMS Pitts. It is my goto plane and inspired me to buy the Hangar 9 giant scale gasser version of the Pitts. I have yet to maiden the Hangar 9 but the FMS has been steadily modified over time. Dubro makes a set of low bounce tires but you can’t change the air pressure, no valves on them but worth the cash for a nicer landing. 16x8 Xoar propeller, 550 kv motor from the Beaver, and an Avian 100 amp esc makes this plane wake up!!!! The power on tap is unlimited, the vertical is unlimited, only complaint is that the thrust angle is wrong on this plane so you get adverse Yaw depending on your throttle. I also added 2 ounces of weight to the tail so I can fly a 6S 7000, it handles the weight but is definitely more nimble with a 5000 mah. Timer is set for 8 minutes for either battery but 10 minutes is usually a safe time.
Brian that Pitts is soooooo Awesome in the air ! Just so beautiful grate flying and such a presence in the air. Thanks for all you do for us. Great job Camera Crew too . Man I want one so bad too.
That was some beautiful flying for maiden flights Brian! I just this morning finished mine frequently using your comprehensive assembly instructions. As an original Boomer, my giant scale flying days are over, having re-kitted all of my fleet, but this inverted Pitts is a gorgeous piece of high ceiling art to constantly remind me of my first love, flying both full scale and RC. PNP was not developed when I was active and a lot of work even went into ARF's, much less stick built and Byron kits too. Anyways Brian, whenever I need the thrill of ringing out my Pitts, I shall do it vicariously through your video, janked calls and all lol. A toast to my new FMS PNP Hangar Queen! 🍺
Great Flight.. totally agree about AS3X/SAFE. I went with stock motor, replaced all 4 FMS analog plastic gear servos with FMS 17g Digital Metal gear servos, Avian 80amp ESC, AR637T (reverse thrust), XOAR prop (1 inch longer) and same battery pack as yours. For battery tray mod, CG and control surface settings, I recommend the MODEL AV8R video. I actually printed out his settings page on the video as reference. CG is important on this aircraft due to how short coupled it is. Mine is at 130mm from leading edge with the 6s 5000maH. Happy flying!
Just update on what you said near the end I been flying rc planes since I was 8 years old and stay with it since 2004 then my health got real bad and iI stop flying RC and waited till last year 2022 to get back into it and glad I did still have issues but going back out and flying at the field or on my property with UMX is really relaxing for me as you said just do it and start with a cheap trainer to see if your gone get into it Thanks Brain
Loved my FMS Pitts! Sold it to a fellow clubmate as it's a perfect first bi-plane. (Not first plane) Rock solid and still allows you grow into some nice scale acrobatics.
I luv my FMS Pitts 1400 I swap the reflex out with the 4000mah 6s Avain 70 amp esc and using the ar637t and a 16x9 prop and switch to metal servos but great flyer right out of the box set up, good video keep them coming 😀👍👍
Hey Bri, I've got the 850mm and no gyro or reflex on mine. Its definitely a pilot's plane! I haven't flown it for a while but when I did, I flew from VERY short grass (cricket pitch square) due to the annoyingly small wheels. It was really fun to fly, and gets you really managing energy and getting your finals right so I could land on the short grass. Tricky, challenging and got to land with enough speed. She certainly doesn't float! Great plane. Great video ❤❤
I love my FMS Pitts 1400mm. It’s a nasty airplane and in my opinion way underpriced. Only strong recommendation is making the “battery block” modification to the canopy.
Hay have been watching you guys since day one and just want to thank you both for all your hard work one question would you be doing the fms F7F tigercat any time soon? Keep up the grate work !!
I got a 5000 6s in mine I put weight on a stick and put it inside the fuse tail section I also got the battery hanging out to the back of the plane Amazon battery big and heavy but work our fine
Hi Brain I have the pitts v2 to maiden soon. Had one when first came out sold it but had to get another one. I always flew it with flex on. Is it necessary to have flex in. I put 100 esc with 16 x 10 Falcon carbon prop on it this time and callie graphics on with red and white checkers looks sweet.
The cost is not that bad. In my friends real Pitts he has a lot of rudder sensitivity because the fuselage is so short compared to the wing length. Also it is hard to keep the longitudinal balance. I always fly a new plane at altitude and fly level and slow until it stalls and that tells me how slow I can land at safely.
Hey Brian, thanks for making such fun content, I like your style of showing the entire process of building to the maiden. It's definitely made it more fun to follow along when I buy a new plane or jet. I'm curious to know if you create videos for YT full-time? I know other content creators around the 100k mark make their channel their full-time job. You and Meghan do an great job, keep up the good work!
6:07 Is it me or you are doing a Trump "China" there? LOL Love you Brian. I miss your VAMPIRE Men, That Thing was awesome! Your Flying skill have gone through through the ruff. Big Hug Man. :) The old M.R.G. Here ;)
Hi guys steve from oz luv ya posts ya helped me out heaps even brought still fly some of ya recommendations phil about xk skylark gr8 plane have rudder trick rite on but what i whould like to ask just watch ya storage tips why do ya have most landing down i find it gets in the way as i live in the bush i just dont run landing gear just land on the crops better than a beanbag thanks mate luv the content godbless keep it real keep it going till next my friend
Very cool! After watching so many of your videos I can totally tell by your reactions if you actually like the plane or not. 🤪 Hey Brain what’s your favorite? Lol. Actually what do you think, this plane or the 2.0m yellow Trojan? 😉
Love/ hate this channel. I am now up to 14 planes because of you..Joking aside great way to learn products pre ordering.

Stick the predator 120A with that 550kv in it and fly ok 7s. Huge power 👌🏽 got that combo in my T28 1.4m, husky and Focke-Wulf.

Three maden flights today. RV 7, Pitts 1400mm and T 28 Trojan. Should be fun. Wish me good luck. Now have 11 planes. Love it.
This is awesome. I have the t28 and thinking of exchanging for this Pitts. How would you compare ?

LOL - You do, like an aircraft carrier??? ;)
Definitely needs a smoke trail!
WOW - GREAT IDEA - what about a streamer??? That would be so cool, on a servo and have it slip out on demand!!!!
Love the Pitts! This one is a little big for me. I loooove the UMX and am waiting to receive my "last of the 850mms" from backorder. Any day now!

Brian please ask Camera Crew to use the zoom more. The planes look like a speck in the distance. Or… get a better camera.
Sorry to disappoint. When She zooms, the video goes from 4K to something MUCH less...so we've been torn on how to handle this.
Side note: Brian, which e-bike gave you that road rash on the elbows?
Haven't seen that video yet 😅
Love, the Saylors 👍
