Lester is an artist! Known him for a lonnnnngggg time. Big thanks to Lester every time he saves another motorcycle through a rebuild or restoration!! Keep it going Lester. And yeah, I love a motorcycle under my Christmas tree!
I bought my first brand new bike on my 17th birthday in 1981, rode it 270 miles home, then parked it in the kitchen! I now run a '81 KZ 750 with GpZ head, Dyna ignition and Keihin CR 33 Specials (NOT too big for my bike). This is set up for street and is Quick, baby!
I was a old Z1 Drag Bike Racer back in the days 46 years ago. Mine was a Z1B 1975 with a 1013 cc Mtc pistons, Denco tri cone header that exit on the left side, tricked out 28 carbs ,Engle Cams, Cosmon rear wheel with wheelie bars. It ran a best 7.0 at 100 mph in the 1/8 mile. It had a custom paint job and only thing I hate is I have no pictures of it just lots of memories. Them were the good ole days. You do a great job in your videos and love the old school stuff.
Loved the video. Always the best. Want to shout out an old friend of mine. Gary Gass. He built a kawi. 1000. He bent every bar. Used a telephone pole and his pickup truck. It was a lay down dragbike. Had a little tube gastank. Just enuff fuel to get down the qurtermile and back to the pits. He would take it out and do burnouts down the street. Raced it at Miami dragway in florida back in the day. Crashed going thru the traps at over 100 some m.p.h. He had roadrash from head to toe. Tore his leathers off. Miami quit racing bikes after that. Great guy would alway help people with their stuff. R.I.P Gary you are missed my friend.
Used to keep my ‘75 Z1 in the dining room. Engine was built by Paul Neff and was painted by his wife Katy lots of chrome and gold plating. I miss Paul and his wife. They were great friends and Paul’s fabricating and engine building were second to none. Put it in the house where everyone can enjoy it.
1965 Honda 50. First Honda I ever saw. Started out summer as a 13 year old and wrapped it up as a 14 year old and these had just showed up in our town. First one I saw was owned by a lifeguard at our local swimming pool a block from our house. Wanted one in the worst way until the Sport 90 came out. Never got one but had a 67 250 Suzuki by high school leading to a cherry 67 Hodaka 90, a 100 Kawasaki and the first vehicle i ever financed, a 1973 Triumph Trophy Trail 500, and at least a half dozen or more over the years up to the present inventory : 1980 Yamaha XS1100, 1976 Moto Guzzi V 1000 I Convert and 2003 Moto Guzzi California Stone.
me n mom will never forget my 1st brand new dirtbike...1981 kx 80 we bought it late in the year of 1980 when i started winning races but my 1979 rm 80 was just out dated. i kept it in my bedroom all winter.
Amen to Lester! Could watch this over and over. And TY to CycleDrags video....? gentleman" I'm sure back in the day you knew or heard of the Farr's from Tulsa, Ok.Marshall and Vicki. They were inspiration for a lot of men and women Dragbike racers. Hat's off to you 2 Gentlemen. 👍
I'm a KZ guy , J model heads , GPZ cranks , orient 5speed auto trans , lectron carbs , VH spider pipe , trac dynamics ProMod chassis , 13 in wheel 10 in tire , NOS express LET'S GO!!!
Jack you did it again, another fine fine video. All Lester's bikes look sooo good. But that x pro stock bike is sweet as HELL. And for the house cat, I remember back in the old pro 🌟 star days watching that KZ run. One of the nicest old kaws out there. I was raised on those bikes, so there is a place in this old man's heart for them. Not to mention nice shop. Plus I wouldn't be in my right mind not to mention the old truck that was sitting there. Everything was so clean, an his restoration on the old Honda's was out of this world. Is there anything this man can't do? And Jack I don't know how you do it but your interviews and shop walks are top notch dude, please keep it up. Thanks again.
Yes bro my bike is my house for years now..my god is first in my life then me and my bike then my kids and woman..thanks to God for all his blessing and my bike make me smile always..cat stop looking and checking something on her❤❤✌🤗😘😁😁
I use to build my moto cycles in the house use to get me in a lot of trouble with the woman when started taking shape it was a 1956 Triumph 650 Tiger in one house i had as a roller i forgot about the landlady coming around for house inspection she saw sitting in dining room i apologised to her and said I'll put in the shed she said don't you dare leave where it is. When fully finished i was living in 2 story house i couldn't get down the stairs so had pull front and back wheels of true story Jack 👍😎🦘🇦🇺💀F.T.W.
Can he clone his wife? Id be a buyer if so. This was an awesome video. Brought back memories of my Garage Father, he was a master kawasaki engine builder. We shipped engines all over the world for both drag bikes and Dwarf cars. RIP Larry, miss you.
Man if you talk about tough, those old GS's with the roller bearing cranks, you could boost them, spray em, run em on fuel .. not much would hurt those
My ex-girlfriend kept her leaking 68 Triumph in the living room....My 46 Knuckle motor doesn't leak...but the transmission does...a couple drips a week...but that's enough to make a mess...
Great job ! On the blue drag bike he said the wheels were done by Kiseman ? Does anyone know the exact spelling or a link to find this wheel builder ??
Can you make video on how these guys build these bikes? I sooo interested and I want o build my own but cannot comprehend how the chassis is made, engine etc etc
I have a newer bike that I would like to bring into the family room from the garage. Are there any safety issues if there is gas in the tank or fuel system?
