Love The Sandman overture picture on your closet. Great Video , very informative how you tell about your books. You really need to get the absolute version of the Sandman, it is realy mindblowing with the art displayed on large format. I read the Sandman together with the audio version. Brilliant. Your video is long, maybe divide it in several video’s. Just an idea. 😊
Haha, this IS divided video😅There are 4 more parts! I am painfully aware of this first part being long. The later parts get much shorter as I get a bit better at it. I agree 100% with you on Overture. It´s simply stunning! For me it´d be the only Sandman that would benefit from being larger in size. I haven´t yet listened the audio versio but I´ve heard only good things about it.
Cool tour. Your decorated panels and doors are amazing. As a kid, I owned a large format book called Space War. I had the same reaction to Chris Foss's artwork. I would soak in the images and let my imagination soar. I enjoy Wake/Sillage and have not seen those other Morvan titles. I will keep an eye out. Never heard of Frezzato's Keepers of the Maser, but do own the 2nd Moon books. I'll continue commenting as the video progresses. ...
I have to say I am so pleased with how good the cabinet looks now. I´m not sure if I understand you correctly on Frezzato as 2nd Moon is the 1st volume of Keepers of the Maser series. I bought some Sillage albums in german meaning to translate it. That project is still waiting to get started:) But now it seems Sillage is running out of print in german also.
About those Conan books from Dark Horse you can only find them used on ebay or some other place that sells used books. Dark Horse doesn't have the rights for Conan anymore so they can't reprint them. Marvel had the rights for a few years and reprinted the Dark Horse Conan in omnibus and TPBs (epic line). The new owner of the rights is Titan Comics since this year. Still no idea what they will do but they will probably reprint the Marvel and Dark Horse Conan.
Paulo, you are a life saver. I have been confused about Conan material as there is so much content in so many formats. You cleared my mind in just few sentences. So, I can stop waiting for Dark Horse reprint:D I have 3 trades by Kurt Busiek. I think there was only 4? I may wait until Titan reprints the whole Busiek run. I´m not a die hard Conan fan but Busiek got me hooked. Having said that I just received 1st volume of The Cimmerian published by Ablaze. They are circumventing trademark by focusing on the original Conan material that is in public domain. This means more Conan comics but doesn´t really make understanding the situation easier.
@@analogcomics There are 5 volumes of Busiek run by Dark Horse, volume 0,1,2,3 and 4.You may get lucky and find those Busiek Dark Horse or Marvel reprints for cheap on ebay or some other place. The copyright/trademark stuff is a mess, Glénat is publishing the public domain stories, the comics are named Conan Le Cimmérien with 12 or 13 volumes already published. Ablaze is publishing translated comics from french Glénat. Or you may wait and see if Titan reprints the Dark Horse run, I'm also waiting to see if they reprint the King Conan comics from Marvel and Dark Horse.
Thanks for this = I am looking for BD in English, which takes some hunting apoarently. Like you, I am not too taken with digital options. Unfortunately, so much BD is only available in English digitally. For jnstance, I really enjoyed OKKO. I bought the first four trade paperbacks only to find the fifth concluding story is only available digitally. In addition. The English language format as you know shrinks the panels to smaller issues, which I know can be overcome by zooming in on the digital copy. I found and bought MERCENARY based on hour recommendation.
OKKO looks amazing. It´s sad that so many European series are discontinued half way. I keep repeating that they should always preserve the larger size graphics when translating to english. Every single reader would appreciate it. Mercenary is quite a find! They´ve been out of print for years.
I love your channel! Thank you for letting us inside your home. I thought I knew my comics very well, but you have introduced me to so many new books! I am buying Drowntown, Orbital and Iron Empires all because of your videos!
Thank you for your kind words Matthew. The more I do this the more I realize how massive thing comics are when it comes to selection. You will never run out of new things to discover. For me it is also important part of this hobby as searching and finding has a strange appeal to it. The best part of this channel is I get to connect with like minded people. If you get your hands on those comics let me know how you felt about them...AND if in your search you find out what happened to Drowntowns next volumes I´m all ears!
I´d say take some volumes in the middle. I list here some and they are in no particular order: Birds of the Master, Ambassador of the Shadows, On the False Earths, Heroes of the Equinox, Chatelet Station Destination Cassiopeia + Brooklyn Line Terminus Cosmon(these two volumes make one story arc), On the Frontiers, The Circles of Power.
@@ChasetopherLivingstonIII Wow. That is quite a good sample set then💪🏻As a whole Valerian needs some explaining. I have already been planning a video for it. But those volumes you have now work well as stand alone stories. It would be interesting to hear your first reaction after reading them.
You've piqued my interest with Anita Bomba. 29:26 some of my favorite sections of my own graphic novel library looks like this. I enjoy pulling out the books without spine information and re-discovering collections I forgot I owned. I appreciate how you've labeled the book title information. I own a few Lucky Lukes, but have not seen that reboot version. Looks amazing. (I'm also curious about a American civil war series called The Bluecoats.) I need more Herman comics. I own a piddly few. :( Those Man of Adventure comics are amazing. I'd love to own those. Cool stuff. Onwards to Part 2!
I really can’t recommend Anita Bomba despite the fact that I still want to get the two missing volumes😅It’s difficult to explain. After this video Tour I got rid of those boxes with labels. They were needed in my old shelves but took too much space in this one. Lucky Luke is quite massive subject. I know I need to try to unravel it some day. Man of Adventure is something I’ve decided fully collect in Finnish.
Yes, I mistakenly named Runeberg as the artist but he is the writer. As it happens I’m waiting for package to arrive with Outlaws in it which is a spin-off of Orbital💪🏻Runeberg writing again but new artist doing the graphics. I do hope the art is close to Orbital style.
Really loving this channel. Please keep em coming.

I know my comic shop has some Valerian albums in their discount section. Any must read stories I should be looking for? Never read any.
