i m from peripheral government medical college , my per year fees of college is Rs 30,000....and from 3rd year onwards i m taking marrow for Rs 30,000 per year . I tried to study standard books in 1st year and 2nd year , and i didn't understand much , barely able to pass college exams. after using marrow from 3rd year onwards , my understanding of subject has increased immensely , and i fell in love with mbbs . Coaching are doing great job my building good concept for an avergae student like me , according to me the default is of college , where they don't teach us well , and we pay their fees only for degree . isse better yeh hoga ki college mein marrow or prep ladder ki video dikhaye jaye at the expense of college , bcoz we already pay for college . isse bache daily class bhi attend karenge . college mein kuch padhaya ni jata , average bache ko mere jaise itna jaldi samjh ni aata , toh marrow lena hi padhta h . jab koi itne easily concepts samjha rha h , sabko voh hi padhna acha lagega , rather than koi substandard class mein teacher padha rha h , voh time waste lagega. hmre pass choice honi chahiye college mein ki kiske video lectures aap class mein dekhna pasand karenge , toh jo best teacher hoga uske lectures hm dikhenge or hme sab ache se samjh aayega or paise bhi ni kharch honge . or coaching institute k itna advertisement bhi ni hoga , sirf teacher k advertisement hoga jo best hoga .

These online platforms are the major reason behind poor clinical abilities a mbbs or even a MD/MS getting.. You compare today's young doctors from past ( 1990) young doctors, you'll get the difference. The essence of clinical skills led in their blood and we're just running in a rat race to get MD Radio/MD med (most of us).. Not a good sign for students in future. Books are gem and will be forever.
i completely disagree , atleast these platform are teaching so well , so i being an average student able to grasp concepts . otherwise in college there is nothing taught , and it is hard to understand standard book , when nothing is taught in colleges . after watching lectures from marrow , im easily able to read standard book . these coaching institute should not be blamed . colleges should be blamed , which are there only for giving degrees not knowledge .

Forgot about TMCAA Thrissur (Kerala) ?? .. . Where enormous students from all over India cleared pg entrance since 1982 . It has trained legends like Dr. Rakesh Nair himself , Dr. Deebu Sebin the CEO of marrow , Dr Vandana Puri, Dr. Rebecca James, Dr. Raviraj and many more .It definitely does not advertise like Dams , Bhatia, marrow or prepladder but spreads through the word of mouth . So when talking about the evolution of pg entrance I think is certainly incomplete without mention of TMCAA.
I attended med pg which was a spinoff TMCAA and dr Rakesh taught me while he did his final year md medicine ... The man was amazing then and is still now ... Dr Ashwath Kumar made obgyn so amazing! Only flaw was the almost daily classes which cut into the time ..
I have been preparing exams and trying to crack exam but couldn't do it... The key year which I felt was 2019 bcoz there was definitely boom of these apps and it become evident by result of neet 2020 pg exam..covid actually speed up the boom and changing the whole scenario of exams.this has also lead to paper changing pattern from one liners to clinical bcoz of these apps bcoz cut offs went too high..now after 4 years (last time 2018 neet pg),that cut off went down(where 600/800 marks was under 1000 rank compared to last year where 600 marker was under 2500 rank
That's true though.. Marrow at present is the leader in PG prep. Videos, q bank and tests combined, Marrow does provides an unparalleled preparation resource as clearly shown by the results, be it the number of toppers or strike rate. Although I agree with you, Aditya sir that PG prep has now lost it's essence and has become a competitive business and money making market. However, I too agree that PYQs and reference books are still the best way to prepare.
Imo most of the coaching/apps came up as replacement for the standard textbook because of the simple fact that a lot of students need initial guidance/lecture to start getting into the topic and studying it, and sadly most of the times all the faculty did was dump the ppts prepared for/by their post graduates. Not defending all the unnecessarily bloated content and subsequent chest thumping they do but still, for me personally these apps became necessary at certain points.
Explained perfectly well, and all the essentials a student must know to wisely use the varied platforms and at same time, not fall in traps of coaching .
What I feel that few RUclipsr's are directly or indirectly mentioning about marrow in their most of videos and influence the students who just cracked neet UG took these apps subscription from the first year & took part in the pg race like a machine from first year. Don't you think few RUclipsr's are putting these subconsciously in students mind🤔
Oh, one of the most famous MBBS YTbers takes 50k/video for Marrow promotion. Even if the paid promotion banner is not there - doesn’t mean it’s not paid promotion. It’s insinuation and inception.
How does it Matter? I too have promoted PrepLadder. I do like it’s Rapid Revision. But I won’t get promote them over Standard Textbooks or their use in 1/2nd Proff.
😱 omg! Brutally honest.the real essence in cracking entrance is doing standard books in ug years understanding concepts and doing pyqs and related topics.its so simple bt dese coaching apps have made cracking exams so very complicated creating a FOMO. so well summarised sir.
So if a person has not read any standard text during his ug time is he doomed He still has to study from somewhere and there is no timeto take standard books and study So these platforms do help

You can get an average or below average college but not AIIMS etc if you did not read standard textbooks. Unfortunately this is lost on lost people. People might be using DAMS/Bhatia /Marrow or whatever- but toppers always ensured reading Standard textbooks during MBBS. Past sins do come to haunt you, unfortunately. Is the person doomed? - Ofcourse no. But you can’t cover up for 4 y of consistency just beucase you’re using an app.

Sir even the previous year question papers are far different from Marrow GT question papers. I don't understand how medicos are comparing the two and getting crazy behind scoring high in GTs. Needless to say - marketing by Toppers' adds to it. Yes, but materials are very lucidly understandable in these apps, that one must appreciate.

Behold they claim 92% strike rate 🤣 Just that Marrow is better in Qbank only rest even their tests show no resemblance to an actual exam. It's will give you decent rank if you choose only Marrow. Toppers have mastered major concepts and they practice alot. My friend used to make questions for PrePG app. It's the practice and core concepts he says. There is no shortcut to success.

Marrow is popular simply because of the financial flexibility.. Most of my friends in my college share a single a Marrow membership by paying 20k each person.. This facility is not available for DAMS and Bhatia

For eg in one ipad if ur using ur own account then never log in with others credentials like ur friends, cz marrow people will track u and ur friends account with device and locations also. I don't know why aditya Gupta hate marrow so much..... Because be honest we are those students who can /had not read standard text book in first and second year. Marrow and prepladder are really clear our concept. I had read kdt for pharma in first year and after that i had read grg... Obviously grg's pharma make better impaction. At the one point you are pressuring on concept budding and at the other point you are saying that read first aid, this is creating little bit confusion. Agree or not...!?

Hi sir! I recently got a rank of 5k in neet pg...... My 1 st choice is M.D psychiatry but my parents want me to do M.d paediatrics which also happens to be also my 2nd favourite subject... Even though it's a personal choice,I am facing this dilemma because I like paeds too . What should be better? And if I choose psychiatry should I choose MMC or Delhi colleges as I don't know Hindi other than basic things.... Clearly delhi colleges are a winner considering stipend and bond... Just a suggestion : tell her to limit her on screen time to 3hrs for a week I have done it myself and I have suffered from what she suffering is right now and encourage her to go to the gym at least 3 to 4 days a week

Use coaching apps for understanding concepts. These are wonderful. Rapid Revision is great from what my juniors told for Final proff(as in theory exams)

Marrow is popular simply because of the financial flexibility.. Most of my friends in my college share a single a Marrow membership by paying 20k each person.. This facility is not available for DAMS and Bhatia

For eg in one ipad if ur using ur own account then never log in with others credentials like ur friends, cz marrow people will track u and ur friends account with device and locations also. I don't know why aditya Gupta hate marrow so much..... Because be honest we are those students who can /had not read standard text book in first and second year.
Marrow and prepladder are really clear our concept. I had read kdt for pharma in first year and after that i had read grg... Obviously grg's pharma make better impaction.
At the one point you are pressuring on concept budding and at the other point you are saying that read first aid, this is creating little bit confusion.

Hi sir! I recently got a rank of 5k in neet pg...... My 1 st choice is M.D psychiatry but my parents want me to do M.d paediatrics which also happens to be also my 2nd favourite subject...
Even though it's a personal choice,I am facing this dilemma because I like paeds too . What should be better?
And if I choose psychiatry should I choose MMC or Delhi colleges as I don't know Hindi other than basic things....

Just a suggestion : tell her to limit her on screen time to 3hrs for a week I have done it myself and I have suffered from what she suffering is right now and encourage her to go to the gym at least 3 to 4 days a week

Marrow is too much of everything, go for prepladder, do pyqs early don't leave for the last month.

Yes prepladder is more concise and revisable than marrow, but still marrow has better questions bank and test series than prepladder.
