hey there, I was wondering if it still detect as a 2nd monitor if I use it through USB-A instead of USB-C ?
my laptop has only 1 HDMI port currently being used connecting to my main monitor, planning to get this one but I have only USB-A port left to connect. So I was wondering whether it could work if I use it as 2nd mini monitor connected through USB-A instead of USB-C.

Hi did you have the HDMI and USC-C plugged in? I have a RTX 4090 and use the HDMI and 1 DP to two monitors. The 4090 only has one HDMI

@@mtandiz ah, I only have one HDMI on the RTX 4090. And I use it for my 42inch OLED. Oh well thanks for the reply. Saved me headache later on
So a few months on, is the little screen actually useful? How much did you pay? Seems about £60 on Aliexpress which is kind of expensive.

Just got one but the Monitor will not turn on, I tried the cable with different devices and cable works fine. Screen and ports not working, any help?
@@jimmydamico3751 i would try different HDMi cables, also play with the resolution, in the windows monitor settings there is an option to search for monitors, try that. Also, test the HDMi port from your computer, I would connect your computer to another HDMi display to make sure the HDMi on your computer is working correctly, hope this helps.
@mtandiz To no avail. All ports and cables working fine. Dock is not turning on and no ports being recognized.i left it unplugged but Not sure there is a power cycle option. Might just have to return unfortunately
@@jimmydamico3751 just in case, you have the usbC connected to a powered usbC port. Amazon has great returns, good luck.
