    FG doesn't work on Game Pass version...
    4K 4080 with DLSS performance applied and still not getting 30 frames. (Texture Ultra)

      Is there a diff between Ultra Textures vs Supreme? Seems like Supreme takes up a lot of VRAM. Maybe it's overkill with the 4080.

      Why do ppl insist on playing in 4k just to render the game at 720p? I will never understand this, 1440p is the sweet spot for games.

    • @MasterRyan97
      @MasterRyan97 Месяц назад +2

      @@jankfloyd158 Because, DLSS Performance at 4K has the game render at 1080p upscaled to 4K, which looks a lot better than native 1440p. Image is sharp and there's a lot less aliasing. It actually looks better than native 4K in some games!

      turn off hdr , and it works , ! Or download
      newest dlss fg and dlss files and replace them i game folder then you get both hdr and fg . On my rig with rtx 4090 and 13900k above 100 fps with everything maxed out at 4k with path tracing dlss quality and fg . Awesome
      ps . the game uses old Dlss files that conflict with hdr . Performance with newest dlss files is even better and can use Fg . People that moan about performance are funny … CP is way more heavy with PT like 2-3 times more then Indiana Jones . It’s awesome game with awesome
      performance.

    Its totally playable on 4080S at 4k full RT with Dlss performance + fg, with texture pool size reduced to “high”, everything else at max + force vsync in nvidia controls. I get around 85-110/120 fps. depending on the area.

    • @togrulalekperov1335
      @togrulalekperov1335 Месяц назад +1

      @@drsembee not with pathtracing enabled, you’ll be getting around 30-35 fps in heavy scenes on dlss quality, FG wont help here either. Dlss performance is the only acceptable option which gives around 50-58 fps on average + fg, would get you around 80+ in heavy scenes, but get ready for a pretty noticeable input lag there, which sorta manageable if playing with controller, imho ;)
      And yes, your tex pool size should be at “high” or max “ultra”, to keep the game stutter free.

    I'm actually amazed with the results, that the game can even hit 60+ FPS at certain parts of the prologue without looking at the sky or the ground at 1440p. Compare that to Cyberpunk 2077 with Overdrive mode which don't even hit 60 FPS at all without FrameGen at 1080p. Id Software is doing an amazing job with Id Engine 7.

    • @wes8723
      @wes8723 Месяц назад +1

      Cyberpunk 2077 is a open-world game with hundreds of NPCs and cars and way more complex architecture and structures then IJ, therefore is way more intense for the CPU and GPU .. you can't just compare way different types of games 1:1 when it comes to perfomance when their design philosophy, genres and what they are trying to do is radically different but yeah I know people rather bitch about games and their perfomances even when they don't understand what they are talking about

  • @roki977

    Its hitting vram limit even at 1440p. You can see how fps drops when buffer resets.. I really dislike Nvidia for that vram stiginess. They have always been like that but now it probably worst than ever. All it takes is game with high res texture and its game over even for 16gb, its crazy..

    • @PabloB888
      @PabloB888 Месяц назад

      You are overexagerating. On my RTX4080S I usually see around 10-12GB VRAM (allocation, not even real usage) at 4K. The highest VRAM usage I saw was in Rathet and clank and crysis 2 remastered (around 14-15GB) and these games run perfrctly fine. However, there are a few games that can run out of VRAM on the 4080S, but only at extremely high settings, which you would not be able to run smoothly anyway. For example cyberpunk at 4K native, with PT and moded textures and gaphics can use around 17-18GB VRAM. The 7900XTX has 24GB VRAM, but do you think VRAM would enable AMD users to play this game smoothly at these settings? As for Indiana Jones, you only need to lower texture steaming budget to high. It will not affect texture resolution however game will finally fit into 16GB VRAM with FG and PT at 4K DLSS Performance (and you need to use DLSS performance in this game to get smooth framerate). BTW- In 2016 I bought the GTX1080 and back then 8GB VRAM was considered plenty, there were however still games that can run out of VRAM on my card if I only tried to run the most demanding games such finan fantasy 15 with insanely high settings that my card couldn run smoothly anyway. 12GB VRAM is a little bit too low for 4K, to close to real VRAM usage, but 16GB VRAM is still plenty, and even if some game can use more you can always lower some settings without affecting image quality in noticeable way.

      True, I have 4080, 4K DLSS balanced no matter is it ultra, very ultra, supreme, with Ray tracing on medium and you can get FG to work because VRAM buffer is full, actually your fps degrade to 15-20 fps. As soon you disable ray tracing or go to 1440p FG is working because it has less impact on VRAM. 20GB would have been sweet spot for 4080.

  • @MasterRyan97

    I can’t max the game either on my 4080 with RT Illumination at 4K with DLSS as it will run about 40fps. If I turn that off the game averages 55-65fps.
    RT in this game is very heavy. Wish they made a 4080 with 18GB or 20GB.

    That's how I play Cyberpunk. DLLS balanced with full PT in 4k. I get about 70-90fps. It's totally worth it in that game. Not sure about Indy. I will have to test it myself when the download is finished.
    EDIT: So with a 4080s and 9800x3d with 6400 Cl32 ram I can only get about 30 fps in 4K DLSS Balanced. I have to switch to 1440p and DLSS Quality to get 90-110fps Which is pretty good regardless. But it's not as crisp as 4k. And to be quite honest, I'm not sure if I really see a difference between basic RT and full RT.

Try turning RT reflections off saves a load of performance for not much loss.

    • @Cliffgamerz
      @Cliffgamerz Месяц назад +1

      Exactly this as i was about to comment here and saw your reply. It's just 16gb is not enough for 4K path tracing, just reducing poll size setting to medium or high would help bypass the issue and only 4090 currently can do 60fps with maxed out settings.

    • @SKHYJINX
      @SKHYJINX Месяц назад +1

      @Cliffgamerz 4080 bros trying to do 4090 settings and then complaining...
      Thats what Max settings mindset does to people. Reducing texture cache and Ultra PT to High would yield great improvements to playability.
      The games shadows without PT suck its a major improvement. But your moving past reflections so fast its barely worth the huge cost and game has already good RTGI so it's also hardly worth it.
      Shadows are where this PT shines strong, and you dont even need Ultra PT shadows either to improve over baseline nonPT shadows, Medium or High is ample to beat baseline shadows and improves fps from Ultra and reduces VRAM costs..
      But "Muh Ultra..."
