9 years later and this is still my favorite song ever created. It's so instrumentally and vocally beautiful, and now I have coupled with it the Nostalgia of my childhood from middle school going into high school when I would listen to this nonstop. This is truly one of the greatest songs ever created in my very humble opinion.
Might I suggest that you listen to "Ambivalentidea" by Yanagi Nagi? To my ears, it is more tight musically, more developed, and it's the song played (partially) at the end of the first season of Jormungand (an anime which is as underrated currently as Canaan is).

In a different style but equally, if not more, emotional, I would suggest that you try and listen to "I do" from the "Ghost In The Shell - Standalone Complex" OST. The song is in Italian, sung by Ilaria Graziano.
Oh my gosh! The amount of nostalgia I get from this song!😥😔😄 As one commenter said, I too was in middle school when I saw this anime for the first time. This one and Kino's journey. I can literally cry. Not because of the animes, but because of the time these shows were associated with. It was a time of innocence for me. I didn't know what I know now. Hadn't been through some of the things I have gone through now. Just...wow. For all of you that are young, in middle or high school, even elementary, cherish those times. You will get older. You will grow wiser. And there will be times where you will long to go back. Just to be in that frame of mind. Or will. I promise you, you will change over time. Wanted or not, I might add. But growth is good. It shows how much we can truly take. And let go of.

I love this picture of Alphard. I feel like if the series could’ve been extended longer we would see more vulnerable scenes of her instead of this huge climax at the end. I think this picture represents everything she showed at the end of the show. Her doubts, worries, and regrets.

Negativity Canaan is Arabic so they were forced to stop making it. That and the budget was terrible which I dont understand because the anime was freaking amazing. I want a season 2 REALLY BADLY 😭😭at the end you could tell it was a time slip because of Canaan hair I want to know what happens with Canaan and alphard 😭they can’t just end it there
