I was also impressed with Scalarworks customer service. Professionals from start to finish.
So the eotech and magnifier mounts are still separate individual mounts. They don’t come together as one unit. I guess I don’t see the advantage. I prefer the Unity setup.
It's so you can take off the magnifier for night vision. Also the SW eotech mount weighs as much as the standard eotech mount so you get the riser for both eotech and magnifier without the weight penalty.
Not saying it's necessary for everyone, but having their standard mount for my red dot, it's extremely nice mount. (Particularly their wheel ratchet mount)
@@talicowart9577 I can already take off my magnifier. Most magnifiers mounts are QD are they not? I get the weight savings aspect, I guess. It doesn’t appear to come in FDE, which is lame. Maybe in the future. SW red dot mounts definitely are cool.
@@DaveH8905 We'll make it in FDE just as soon as we fill the massive backlog of orders we have open for the black version.
It deletes the entire weight of the unity riser (85g) and lets you run a much lighter flip to side magnifier mount than the unity FTC (another 70-85g) at 2.26" height.
unity flip up and down is infinitely better than flip to side imo. I do love scalarworks though

Why not make an integrated magnifying mount for the Eotech and save more weight.
I want a 1.93 mount for my EXPS2!
So they might do a 1.93 fixed front iron sight?........ummmmmm yes please.
As much as I like Scalarworks, I prefer Unity FAST mounts for EOtech optics and magnifiers at 2.26” height. These Scalarworks optic mounts look like small cat trees.
Why not just machine the pic onto the mount? Instead it's probably going to be a $40+ add on.
The Pic rail is included with the mount.
