The IFSC has really stepped up the standard of competition in the last few years. Really like the wall shape and colour. Nice variety of problems. The camera work needs improving, a few more angles are needed to see all the grips properly and get a better idea of the angle of the walls/volumes. Also need close ups of the grips.
@carnsoaks - in CYCLING they av special jerseys 4 WCup @ WChampS etc.. Can ID heros @ events. An award 4 excellence. A great way to show the storied history of climbing and further IOC bid. Jiri Bradac On sight is a sport climbing term. This is bouldering, where flash is always used for a first go top. Also, they have seen the problems before, right before finals.
Jiri Bradac A flash refers to a clean climb after receiving beta in any form. The form in which they received beta was prior to the start of the comp where they all get to look at and discuss each problem
Difference between onsight and flash depends person to person, with the extreme believing even knowing the grade constitutes beta whereas more common would be receiving sequence specific information or watching another person climb. However, flash is always used in constructed routes/problems because the hold types, sequence, etc., are clear, requiring no reading of the "rock". People may use flash with outdoor bouldering because the starts often have to be shown or described, being highly specific unlike sport routes where you need simply follow the bolt line.
