nothing compares with Vic, Nathan, Ira, Bamboo. Francisco has Voice Quality. Vic Mercado play drums better than professionals, Nathan - awesome Bass player, Ira - unique guitar skills. only in the Philippines perfect combination i miss this 4.
Ira is so underated as a lead guitarist. He uses blues notes, which is hindi familiar ang mga pinoy. Sa pinas kc ang expectation ng mga young guitarist or natutoto plng tumogtog ang basehan nila dapat mabilis kmy mo, maingay gitara mo marami kng pinapakawalng notes(shreder). Pero sa mga bitirano ng guitarista. Clarity ang hinahanap nila ung linis ng pag deliever mo ng solo. Disiplina .
I said they're some of the best ones in OPM. I didn't discount all the others. What I hate is Bamboo getting all the credit for his former bands' songs getting so famous. Yes his voice is really awesome, and he makes good lyrics, but he can't be where he is now without his former band members from Rivermaya and Bamboo. If you look at the post I replied to, he/she said "anybody can play the instruments but nobody can replace Bamboo's voice."

behind the original Rivermaya were 2 people... the voice Bamboo Manalac and the song Rico Blanco both were equally talented in their respective specialties... thus comparisons by people who cannot acknowledge the talent of each individual, have nothing of substance to say about both Bamboo and/or Rico.
