I know this is a group project and he's probably happy that he doesn't have to do all the explaining himself anymore and I don't want to sound clingy (nice try), but I've so gotten used to him. Thank god there's the Ridgeback. It's a joy to watch the doggo get acquainted to all the new people/noises/smells and finally go to sleep on the veranda. Still love the editing! Well done, y'all.

I'm glad you took some of the feedback and applied it to this video. I had to go back and watch one of the older episodes #37 in order to see what made me enjoy this so much. I too miss the drone shots showing the layout of the place shown and what others stated.
Tip for the next tree you need to cut: trim its limbs but leave a good bit of the main trunk so that you can use it as a lever to loosen the roots by moving it back and forth.
This is a great series. I love the personality inside of the videos although I miss Dave's calm narration. One thing I don't get is why people say it is too long. Personally it could be an hour long and I would still watch it. The style changed from last year, but you have to expect that. I respect the community for the work they put into the project and people should take that into account. Good-luck with future videos from your friend here in the States.
You can help plants that might struggle to survive winter temperatures by planting them on the south side of warm buildings. Adding a wind break can help too. Maybe a hardy ever green to either side to keep the cold wind off. Like a rosemary bush. I imagine your kitchen is warmer than the surrounding area. Planting the lemon grass close to the south side of that, with a little protection from wind, it might survive your winter.
I have some unsolicited advice. Stumps will be a problem for you for years. There is a much easier way to remove them completely. Please search on RUclips "spare tire stump extraction". You going to get a Rhodesian Ridgeback like the gorgeous one here? We had a small holding for years near Randfontein and my children grew up on it. Go for it!
I guess I do have to agree with most everyone else. The filming is much different from last year and in some ways, yes, it is better. (No offense about your cinematography skills 😁) the filming does seem to be more professional. But like others mentioned, I don't feel like I am really seeing as much of what is going on as we did last season and it feels less personal. Like we are less apart of the process. I am sure y'all can find a way to incorporate the new style of filming with the old and find a happy medium that everyone (or well, almost everyone, bc u can't please them all) is satisfied with. Also change of topic and my random thoughts typed out as well : Loquat is the name of the fruit. Google said the fruits are used to make herbal tea? Sounds very tasty. I absolutely LOVE lemongrass! I had actually never heard of it before I met my Pakistani husband. Also had a hard time trying to find it or any good herbal tea on the shelves if regular stores (like, not a specialty tea store) in North Carolina, but New York provides a whole range of herbal teas in their grocery stores. (I moved to NY 3 yr ago) though they are mostly the bagged variety. I find whole camomile & hibiscus leaf & mix of other things in a local Mediterranean grocery & kebab shop. I am lucky enough to get bags of lemongrass from Pakistan since I cannot grow my own like you are trying to do.

Yep same here. I think a lot of this has to do with spreading out the content to make it last longer. Trying to do an episode for each task. I mean what else did they do all week? This leads me to think that they are spreading it out. Though that does not really matter, its a great way to fill the whole year with content for when you only spend a few months at the place. Breaking up the daily tasks and mixing in some of the other things for a week will help.

I really like the little breaks that Felix puts in the video. It shows that this is not Some utopia just a bunch of ppl having a grand time building and living. (With breaks i mean for example in the beggining her going from totally serious to laughing her ass off)
I enjoy the focus on more members of project Kamp. It's nice to have multiple perspectives. I do think dave is your strongest 'presenter' but I like seeing the others too. Nice progress, good luck!
Snelle tip! Haar puppy was hieraan overleden.
Nêsperas = Loquats in 🇵🇹, are just great when ripe!! Looking good guys. Congrats on hitting the big 100.000. Gostei dos comentários em português ; venham +! Saudações de Santarém 🇵🇹
I don’t know how cold winter is over there but if you get snow or just strong winds, you can try to cover your plants with some sort of fabric (I’m sure you can look up on the internet what fabric you need, how to actually do it, etc.). It creates a sort of warm vacuum for the plant.
I'm just coming across your channel and the fact that this was only 1.5 months ago and you were reaching 100k subscribers and are now at 280k (today is 6/21/22) says a lot about your content. I think there are a lot of people in this world longing to get back to the simplicity of what you are trying to create there. I wish I could hop on a plane and come help be a part of your journey! Maybe you will inspire others too!!
In the US, Southern yellow pines and Douglas-firs are used to make toilet paper strong. The shorter fibers of hardwood trees like oaks and maples give toilet paper its soft texture. These trees are farmed. They cut them down, and immediately replant because they will need those trees in the future to make paper. It is the papers companies best interest to re-grow their forest.
Firstly congrats on reaching 100K! And counting. I subscribed to Patreon today to hopefully get my opinion noticed more than if I just commented on the normal youtube videos. This project stands out on youtube because it's following a narrative of rejuvenating a piece of unused land which is cool, but in the last episode it lost sight a bit. Both there and in this video, there are people who haven't been introduced which loses some of the storytelling. Also, I agree with another comment that subtitles are needed for the non-English conversation. A couple of thoughts on the video - I loved last season how drone shots were used to show where new buildings were going/how different pieces of the Kamp fit together. I think that's something that the past couple of videos are missing. I appreciate the close-up videos of wildlife and what is being done, but having that without a wider perspective risks losing focus. I think this could have especially been done with the yoga place - flying a drone out and viewing the platforms from above would be a great shot. Finally, I think there could be more timelapses, especially for repetitive tasks like cutting down hedges, or in this video I think having a time lapse showing all the plants being placed in the garden would have been good. having said that, I'm liking the editing in these videos and it's clear that Felix is putting a lot of time and effort into them. I'm excited to see what's ahead and look forward to next week's video!
your comment was spot on! and also I think that a schematic or a render of the future yoga beds would have been much appreciated, but was still a great episode ! good job!!
Congratulations on the 100k subscribers! There is something about the pace of the new videos that I have trouble with. Sometimes less is more. I don’t think there is a need to make a cut every couple seconds like in a music video. As a viewer it makes me feel rushed. I prefer the more relaxed approach to the editing. It is ok to film one thing a bit longer, it won’t get boring. I always enjoy the time-lapses. There can never be too many if those. 😊
Yep. It's pretty much that. 1st season felt like a documentary, like a conversation between Dave (et all) and us. More authentic. This feels like a reality show. Fast paced with less substance and a lot of close up shots. It kind feels like they don't have enough content to fill in the episodes... and I love animals, but... Too much screen time with the dog?
I miss getting a recap on what has been done since the last video... I feel a lot less part of what's going on, and more like I just get a glimpse into a few hours of your day without being brought up to speed on everything else that's going on. I don't need the artsy music and shots if I'm not being kept up to date on the progress. This is what brought me to you guys in the first place and kept me. And I also miss dave. It's nice to get to know people, I would enjoy hearing how they became involved in the project and what they are doing, but it would be nice to see Dave a little bit.
Yes , also the camera guy is mostly focusing on 1 person and not using wide frames. This leaves large portions for the frames out of focus and its really eye streching.
It is different. This vlog is different. That chill, layback, home made feeling is gone. That's the feeling that I got when watching Dave's video. I like the narration, the scene and view of the kamp while trying to achieve the small goal of the day. This one at the other hand is like an action movie, which is not my preference.. I find myself skipping almost 90% of the video..
For the people joining in Season 2, or for those who forget... maybe put a little bubble with the people's name the first time they show up on screen. Lots of people at Project Kamp these days. But it's also fine without this, I just want to see WHAT you do, not who is doing it.
Loquat (with yellow fruit) is the tree you were taking home! They grow easily from seed! Spit them out everywhere you go ;-). Relatively fast growing tree too.
Just wanted to point out that the paper production in Portugal goes well beyond toilet paper products like from the better known Renova brand, there's hundreds of factories, the biggest ones from big multinationals like Navigator and Xerox. The native forest in the country is actually under 1/3 of forest area, while the monocultures of eucalyptus cover over 1/3 and pine around another 1/3. The slow growing species like oak were a bit abandoned after Portugal stopped producing the big sailing boats from the times of empire and slave trade. Both these pine and eucalyptus trees are not native, the pine started being planted way earlier and more spaced out to be used for wood furnaces of industries like glass and ceramics, sap and pine nuts. They are now well established mature trees in most part. On the other hand, eucalyptus have become an even bigger problem, they are "over-planted" so that no other species or weeds grow in-between, which just creates these fast-growing highly flammable walls that dry completely the soil around them. All this speeds up soil erosion, diminishing water absorption in the soil. It's a plant and forget easy investment, if it burns it's still sold... The cherry on top is that riparian and watershed ecosystems in Portugal are some of the worst preserved in Europe, making it also the number 1 on wildfires per area in Europe. Meanwhile there are plans for more big dam projects! *end long rant* 🙃
Congratulations on over 100,000 subscribers!!! Yes more narration and I miss the dutch guy, good to see him at the ending. What is your name???? See you next time. Thanks for sharing!
A suggestion would be to look into aeroponics towers. It could save you a lot of room and allow you to grow different varieties of food. Even converting the large ruin into a greenhouse would be a cool idea, to help certain plants/trees survive the winter. Also, I feel that a lawnmower would do wonders in helping y'all keep the grass tamed and make places more accessible.
That Tree, which fruits First in spring is called medlar in english. I saw them grow everywhere in China. Love seeing you making progress in the project and like to be a Part of it. I think i am sending in my application soon ;-)
Another awesome video!!! Just wanted to say that it might be a lil unfair to compare the old style to the new, and these are just my personal opinions!! The videos have a vlog type of style (just my interpretation), and I truly enjoy the chemistry of the whole team coupled with the scenic shots!! I appreciate the moments of laughter with everyone. I admit I do miss the more technical construction planning/ straight forward aspects of the old, but this is good stuff here!! Thank you for the great content, and keep up the awesome work :D
Nespera in English is Lowquat a small orange yellow fruit , thin skin similar to an Apricot though very different flavor and with four shiny dark brown seeds inside. Excellent fresh and very easy to preserve or make into jams or sauces.
I am excited with everything that is going on. It is cool that you guys are not just thinking about the basics of the Kamp, but making life there better, more enjoyable too! I wanted to say that not only is this entertaining, but you guys showed me the wonderful tool that is the field hoe. I have seen it being used in almost every video and searched out where to get one. It is amazing to have and I use it so much in my outside projects.
Love the new season content! And love the focus on people who had a little less screen time the past season and getting to see them more! Watching the garden planting, it might be helpful to break up the root balls a little more and spread out the roots so that the plant doesn't stay root bound in that small area!
The medronho and the stone houses along with the large lime stone indicates you must be somewhere in the Monchique area. Love to see what you are doing here. Keep up the great work.

Keep it up. Some of us literally living these lifes from your videos. I just love them ❤️🇵🇰
Compared to the last video you already implemented some of the feedback. Thanks for that. But for me the video should be even more compressed like the drive to the nursery is cool but could be shorter, the talk with the neighbors adds nothing to the video, less dog running through nature shots. I would like to see more detail but quicker. From the brush cuttings to the finished garden there are steps that are not on the video. I'd like to have it in there but with a time-lapse or something to make it quick. And I miss Dave as well 😉 although it's cool to see the other people of the project more.
I would love to see you do better. If you didn’t submit to being the filmer/editor, you have no voice in this. You’re literally just sitting on the sidelines throwing tomatoes. If you don’t like what he’s doing, move to Portugal and do it better.
Nespole? You plant it? That's good! The fruits are really good. By the way Portugal looks exactly like here in Italy. What a beautiful country. Love it.

Just discovered this channel with the first year recap video (6.2m views 👌😲) and then the next video with the plans for year 2. The family and I loved it and instantly subscribed. Thought we'd continue from the start of year 2 instead of watching from the beginning as we saw the year recap. We were then really disheartened to see a total change in feel and style of the next 2 videos.....and no Dave! 😕 Thankfully reading all the comments it looks like Dave and his style is coming back. I think when income for the project development is directly linked to the videos you really need to play to your strengths and make the videos the priority; and Dave is a major asset. A great host and presenting style. I loved Felix's videography so hopefully between them they can come up with something even better still. 💪 Can't wait to see how it progresses.
Great job! Love seeing you back in force! Although i think there is some room for improving on the videos ,maybe the pace of the storytelling i think, they are of very good quality just wish they could be a bit more similar to the old ones! Love you guys , and welcome every one thats new!
I really liked following the people as i have never really seen the rocky area like such. I dont't mind more of it - i did, however, miss the timelapses. It was a bit hard to follow the quick cuts during the bush destruction. The same pace might work better if more frames had a clear attention grabbng points through contrast, being in focus or being seen several times from different angles. Typing this out to maybe lay out a way to keep some of that energetic vibe to the editing while allowing for bettter followabilty^^ Adding a timelapse showing the whole process additionally would be nice. i was really sad when it stopped before the task was done XD But do remember - this channel will grow more. And if it's meant to grow, taking special care of early followers (like me) may not be the most efficient way forward to reach a broader audience. The early people will become a smaller and smaller percentage over time. I, personally, would love more of what i have gotten to know - simple humans, aren't we? ^^ But don't stress about us

The fruit tree that you got in the garden centre grows Loquat fruit, a delicious citrus spring treat :)
Just came from the first year update, congratulations on what you’ve achieved here, amazing to see
Loquats!! One of my favourite fruits! As kids we used to climb up our neighbours fence to get the overhanging fruits
Glad to see you guys back and strong. Wish you the best.
Well said
Oh, I so agree with you. Stop trying to be arty. Just film.
I agree
I totally agree!
Great to see everyone really cheered up and enjoying some time together while putting effort in the kamp site. You guys rock!!
There is a lot of feedback about these videos - I really enjoy it and appreciate the high quality and laidback pace.
You guys are awesome. Nice Project
Surprised 100 took so long. You guys are fantastic. Thoroughly enjoyable as always.
Yes exactly the same here
wow. exactly the same with as well.
I agree
that's sad.
Same
not finished the vid yet, but i love it! it was nice to meet everyone else at kamp, and the dogo is adorable
For the people joining in Season 2, or for those who forget... maybe put a little bubble with the people's name the first time they show up on screen.
Lots of people at Project Kamp these days.
But it's also fine without this, I just want to see WHAT you do, not who is doing it.
Yea I loved the intro Dave would always do! bring that back! :)
Loquat (with yellow fruit) is the tree you were taking home! They grow easily from seed! Spit them out everywhere you go ;-). Relatively fast growing tree too.
Nice things going on out there.... just by watching feels close to nature.... hope you all doing great ......
4:00 Things get real... LOVE IT!!!! Keep it going Fam!!!
that wood would look really nice for furniture like table top with glass top and the wood as legs, or a coffee table legs etc.
Hey guys im from Portugal, and just sea now your magnfique work keep going!!!
Stay strong!
I love your dog! He's is so cute! So happy you have animal now!!
Nespera in English is Lowquat a small orange yellow fruit , thin skin similar to an Apricot though very different flavor and with four shiny dark brown seeds inside. Excellent fresh and very easy to preserve or make into jams or sauces.
I Love this Projekt!!! ...Only the Best for You
Congratulations!!! .... Love the ridgeback.
Crazy the amount of subscribers since last week, I only started watching last week it's amazing what yous are doing
I stumbled upon this channel on Easter (April 17) and the subscribers doubled over the course of the day
I am excited with everything that is going on.
It is amazing to have and I use it so much in my outside projects.
i just love the work you all are doing
Eucalyptus are good for Koalas 🐨 as well 😬 but yes, they definitely burn very well. The eucalyptus oil in the leaves is highly flammable.
They are very far from the Algarve! They are near Viseu.

17:30 nispero in Spanish or loquat in english! I used to have one in my garden until my parents removed it :( delicious, sweet fruit when picked at the right time!
I love listening to her speak portugese, so much more comfortable and lovely languauge. Would love it if people spoke their own language and just text it.
I never comment !! But your videos made me do it..
I must say you guys are living your life tho it is a hard one i do understand like building all the stuff from ground up but i assume it's so much fun too.. coming from a small town from Pakistan i just can assume to have such life a Free and adventurous life. Keep it up. Some of us literally living these lifes from your videos. I just love them ❤️🇵🇰
Hope that nispero (loquat in english) does well!! I secretly planted one in my school when i was a kid and it grew with me. Delicious fruit!
I didn't realize how much work had been done at Kamp last year.
Been waiting for this new video since soo long.
I checked RUclips multiple times for the past few hours waiting for it.
Thanks for posting and sharing.
Love it.
Congratulations on getting 100,000 subs guys!!
Hoe stoer... Je ♡ volgen - en zoveel volgers! Proficiat 🙏
The parts in Portuguese are delicious!!! "Prepare-se" (prepare yourself) says neighbor Fernanda. Why? Because the husband was away for many days... 😁👍
17:26 the leaves make me believe this is a Loquat tree. I love the fruit. Had one in are front yard growing up.
Thats what i was thinking as well. Im not a fan of the fruit but makes a nice tree.
You should explain the swinging chair thing to them. It’s a great idea. They only heard swing and dismissed it.
feels like an episode of tv series, love it ~
Great job! Love seeing you back in force! Although i think there is some room for improving on the videos ,maybe the pace of the storytelling i think, they are of very good quality just wish they could be a bit more similar to the old ones! Love you guys , and welcome every one thats new!
Loved the intro! Well done...
Her laugh in the intro made my night!
Thanks for your nice vid 😇💟💟💟 Love you guys.
G'day Kampers, that tall fruit plant is a Loquat! Yellow tropical fruit 👍🇦🇺
Typing this out to maybe lay out a way to keep some of that energetic vibe to the editing while allowing for bettter followabilty^^
Adding a timelapse showing the whole process additionally would be nice. i was really sad when it stopped before the task was done XD
But do remember - this channel will grow more. And if it's meant to grow, taking special care of early followers (like me) may not be the most efficient way forward to reach a broader audience. The early people will become a smaller and smaller percentage over time.
I, personally, would love more of what i have gotten to know - simple humans, aren't we? ^^ But don't stress about us
I am the last sub, but i cryied full of Joy celebrating with you the 100k!!! Gogogo!!!!
Thankful for the upload on my Birthday!
Someone's giving these hippies power tools! 💯❤️😃
I love what you guys are doing
Congratulations!
