Idk when this was filmed but at the end of summer 2021 they add a big fence around the whole bombing range so if you are going out this season be careful a night time, don’t need anyone crashing into the new fence
It’s a US Navy bombing range that some of the other branches use if 29 Palms area and the Yuma test ranges are closed. It’s also an area for a parachute test range as well.
I'm here right now. This must be a little older cause the bombing range fenced off a lot more area. Just be careful if you haven't seen the new fencing. For everyone else, it's great for sxs, bikes, quads, etc.. lots of trails and tons of wayppints this video doesn't show.
So all the target looking things and colored triangles are for the blue angels and jets that practice around there, they are markers the different colors are for different directions
Those black and white signs look like range boundaries. Like if you're firing, that sign would be your left or right-most boundary, showing you where your targets would pop up. I could be wrong, our boundary signs on army bases are giant orange arrows but maybe navy does it different.
Great video. Please keep in mind when you say "Ocotillo" you're referencing the town/OHV area right at the bottom of the mountain off the 8 freeway, SouthWest of Superstition. "Ocotillo Wells" is the OHV area off the 78 highway, just West of the Salton Sea and directly North of "Ocotillo".
Mini sand dam is also known as “The Fingers”because there is several of these sand hills on the East side of Superstition. From the top it looks like fingers coming out of the mountain. Im surprised you guys didn’t go to the trestle, that’s a popular hang out spot.
I grew up camping out in superstition. It’s such a rad desert to camp and ride at. And since it’s a US Navy bombing range/practice range you’ll see some sick shit, even get to watch the Blue Angels fly around out there whenever they go out to practice
Love to see my area on blast from coachella valley to the imperial valley! Cant wait to use the onyx app to check out those waypoints you guys worked on thanks for mapping our stomping grounds!
The “mini sand dam” area is called the fingers. There are several dunes that extend out from superstition mountain that from above resemble fingers. I grew up going out there so if you guys want the local names and more spots I can help you out.
Hey black hat show us some spots close to the Central Valley we want in on the fun building put my tacoma and Camburg kit to the test close to home.🙏🏼😀
For those Glamis Partying People, stay at Glamis. Superstition doesn't want you! Superstition is a different vibe and us lifers don't want that to change.
So cool you guys are literally putting your spots on the map. I have a dream to travel to the west coast and play one day with a rig I built;)!👌👍👍 Rock On!!

There’s orange ones too , just farther in.
Yup.. left and right lateral limits for the range
Super is so underrated! I feel like it's more rhythmic than ocotillo wells or plaster. To each"s own though right !
The ride between Superstition and Ocotillo is really fun.

Almost the same thing as REVER app
We don’t need more people at super 🤦🏻♂️😂
Yes you do quit being stingy and share what our local deserts have to offer
It's a ford fuckin ranger
Wish you guys would quit calling OW “Ocotillo”. Ocotillo is the town near Superstition.
