Portugal, like any other country, is not perfect, there are immense sectors within our society that must be improved and adapted to new realities and challenges. Thank you for your compliment in transmitting some Portuguese cultural aspects that represent our ancient multiculturalism.
You must go to the islands: festivals all year, pagan and christian. In Portugal we still have celtic traditions like the Maias, the Coca, Caretos de Podence, solstices festivals such as Festa do Menino, Festa de Santa Luzia, Festa dos Moços, or others such as Noite das Bruxas em Montalegre, Festa da Cabra e Canhoto, Braga Romana, Braga Celta, medieval festivals etc

Dear friends, you're spot on! Portugal is brimming with festivals, even in the smallest villages. Most of these are religious celebrations that often include music and food. The peak season for these small-town festivals is summer. I reckon if you counted them all up, there'd be a festival for every day of the year. Best wishes, and may your music continue to inspire!
Thank you for showing the best of Portugal. People and their culture and traditions. It is gratifying to welcome people who know how to appreciate what is good and worthwhile. God bless you. I hope they stay with us for a long time.
Nice! We can see it was made with love and a lot of work, but yes, there's a lot more to see... there's a famous festival in Olhão, ando Portimão in the south, for "Marisco" and "Sardine" and of course the greatest festivals, are in Açores Islands " Festas do espirito Santo".
Love the sand sculptures and the flowers. Love all the great food, the olives! Of course. Thanks so much for sharing the sounds and lighted venues all around the country. Beautiful, memorable, a place to bring children and families to celebrate.
Since you mentioned Bons Sons, there are two other events in Tomar worth mentioning: the biggest and most iconic one is the Festa dos Tabuleiros (which takes place at the beginning of July every 4 years) and the Congresso da Sopas, the biggest soup festival in Portugal, which takes place every year on a single weekend at the beginning of May. Every participant of this congress receives a plate, a spoon and a cup (for the wines, which are also part of the festival) and the soup tasting usually starts at a set time on one day and ends when every stand runs out of soup. 😄
We showed a picture of Festa dos Tabuleiros toward the end of the video--it is an incredible festival! And of course there is a festival for soup. That sounds amazing. Thank you!
Since you guys didn't mentioned the Imaginarius: the international street preformers festival in Santa Maria da Feira, I can't help to wonder if you ever visited. If you haven't, plese make sure you do, because it is spectacular.
Congratulation for the video. In my mind and without researching, three festivals remain to be mentioned that from my point of view are important due to culture and tradition and which are the Romaria (Pilgrimage) da Senhora da Agonia, in Viana do Castelo, Carnival of Podence and Madeiro in Penamacor, a small city where 10 % of the population is foreign and the majority is English-speaking, the last one in Christmas time
Great vídeo! Festivals are about culture, family and friends, festivals are about tlife, and we love to celebrate life! Great video, you nailed it!
As much as I already love Portugal, your videos shine a light on so many unsung and wonderful aspects. Carry on! Sincere thanks!
Once again, great video!
Such a great video!
Thank you!

We talked about that festival in our Creative Hotspots video (episode 3 in this series). It looks amazing and is one of our favorites for sure!

Existem centenas de festas religiosas por todo o país; o ponto alto de todas realiza-se em Fátima em maio e outubro!
Yes, the event in Fátima seems very special!
😮❤️❤️
Great vídeo ❤
