I’m honestly most impressed at how he always finds places to park his car and fish all over the northeast and doesn’t get a million tickets or get towed lol
Dog Sense in Providence where I lived in college that happened but they just stole by college school books and my laptop. I went fishing after class. Little did they know the reels and rods were worth more.
You continue to find compelling content, no matter where you go! I’d always heard about East End “flats guides” fishing that area and I wondered what it was like. Thanks for giving us a look at an area that most of us will probably never get to fish. And BTW that island and the whole big system of bays to the west of there is full of opportunities for you.
I watched a few of your videos, and I thought that you should do this professionally, and then I watched a few more videos, and realized you already do. Congratulations on all your success and the beautiful fish. Eat up!
Am always looking for your video’s lol it’s fun to see the spots you find. And at the same time seen you catch some fish you go bro.. keep up the good work .. from Florida
Thanks to you , I am finally killing it , catching strippers. I was using the wrong lures and not timing the right ones on correctly. Thanks for the tips
I have a lot of fun in the salt pond by my house. They are on the rain bait. Acting picky. Recently we had adult bunker in there with some bigger fish on them.
I guess with the nice new kayak and the new body of water 2 sea robins wasn’t so bad especially when you catch some nice stripers in between, awesome Rich...🤙🏼🤙🏼
Dude! I never caught stripers in skinny water. I would have loved to have been there throwing my fly rod. Ya know, you made a great point about exploring new areas just from looking at maps. Some very special places have been found that way. Ya got to "wade" thru some unproductive stuff to get to the good spots but it is worth it no doubt. Totally enjoyed the vid!
You ever think of upgrading to a proper paddling vest? Something with a high back and pockets for gear? I upgraded last season to the NRS chinook and it changed my life. I always noticed you’ve had the water sport type vests and thought I’d suggest it as it seriously was one of my best kayak fishing investments.
Been enjoying your videos, I fish staten island at great kills, perth amboy nj, sandy hook. Hardly catch anything, but ill use your lures & tips next time I go!
Nice Kayak..Great video! New sub. I think Sea Robin is a good name for your boat, since that’s what you christened it with! 🙂 I’m in Texas and have never seen one..or a saltwater Striper either, although there’s huge ones in some of the lakes and rivers here. My dad was from Massachusetts and used to fish for them in New England area long ago. Looking forward to checking out more of your content! Best Wishes! 🎣
Hi great video as alaway man. Why dont you just use a tactic clip for your lures? I alway notice you just cut and tie lol is there any reason why you choice to just tie straight on?
Thanks welcome to the channel. Yeah I’ve been doing solo missions for awhile now in much rougher areas my friend was supposed to come on this fishing mission but bailed because he thought the 10 mile an hour east wind would make it rough 🙄
Hey Rich, what is your favorite kayak rod/reel combo for striper fishing? I am looking for something that will be fun if I come across feeding schoolies but will also be able to handle slobs. Thanks! Awesome content as always
Those who venture up that creek usually find themselves met by a security team with East Hampton Marine Police close behind. But very cool. Just be careful.
Nice video again! I think the only other channel I watch from around that part of the world is sea money. For some reason I think you and Timmy Turtle should do a video together fishing the outback and/or striper coast sometime.
Lowrance Hook 4 with the compatible Transducer but unfortunately that unit is discontinued the new alternative is the Lowrance Hooks 5 Inch basically the same thing but the unit screen is horizontal not vertical. amzn.to/3885otC
Great video ! Always want to dump and run to the shore after watching your vids. Ordered some stuff from J&H , line ' finbacks , a Stradic 5000 , has the egg knob..went with J&H house braid 🤞
Hey guys, don't knock the sea robins. Almost 50 years ago back on the North Shore when I took out a Japanese fellow that I worked with and I threw back a sea robin he scolded me and said that they were really good eating. I told him I would keep some if he did not tell my local friends. A very small fillet but the meat is white and they are absolutely great as sashimi. Total surprise!
I’m honestly most impressed at how he always finds places to park his car and fish all over the northeast and doesn’t get a million tickets or get towed lol
His car is full of fishing gear, here in California they will break into your car and take everything in some of my fishing spots
Prolly has a hook up you or me get towed finder etc🤷🏻♂️ good for him
That's soooooo New Yawk! In these parts they shoot people for parking spots. It's what they're really talking about when they say "spot burn". lol
“Private island”...I know where that is ;)
Great videos!!!
Dog Sense in Providence where I lived in college that happened but they just stole by college school books and my laptop. I went fishing after class. Little did they know the reels and rods were worth more.
0:44 That transition though 😍
Haha I actually got a little pissed that happened but it worked 🤙🏻
Turns out to be a "Beautiful accident" 😂

Your a brave man but that kayak seat is fire! Great video fellow fisherman

Any update on how you like the yak?
Great video...loving the top water! Do you find any better results popping with the current vs against it?
Glad to see that you are wearing a personal flotation device! A lot of fishing shows, people aren't wearing them?
Love how sea robins honk at you lmao.
Love stripers. Even little ones are fun to catch
Very cool, man
Nice Kayak..Great video! New sub. How durable has the Evict been for you? Have you been using the same Evict reels since they came out or have you gotten new ones along the way?
Beautiful video!!!
What kind of knot do you use to tie on your jigs? Loop?
Loved the adventure!!!
Got to get myself down to Jersey. No spots like that on the North Shore of LI.
Love the vids rich
Hi great video as alaway man. Why dont you just use a tactic clip for your lures? I alway notice you just cut and tie lol is there any reason why you choice to just tie straight on?
Nice a new kayak....and new haircut
Love your Videos Brother 🤘🏼🤘🏼🔥
Rich, did you ever get back to explore?
Shout out from Philippines.....nice kayak
The finback shads have been working great! Do you use a leader when fishing with those? I have been tying straight to braid. Thanks
Nice kayak bro
First time watching your channel, keep up the good work, just be careful out there, since you're going out alone.
Thanks welcome to the channel. Yeah I’ve been doing solo missions for awhile now in much rougher areas my friend was supposed to come on this fishing mission but bailed because he thought the 10 mile an hour east wind would make it rough 🙄
Are you working the montauk charter this year? If so what boat??
Awsome video. Quick question: does pedal drive has reverse?
Hey Rich, what is your favorite kayak rod/reel combo for striper fishing? I am looking for something that will be fun if I come across feeding schoolies but will also be able to handle slobs. Thanks! Awesome content as always
That is so nice guy !!
So do you have a verdict if you prefer this over a Hobie outback? Sold my outback a year ago and thinking about getting into it again. This or Hobie?
Those who venture up that creek usually find themselves met by a security team with East Hampton Marine Police close behind. But very cool. Just be careful.
Is that Plum Island? Used to live in East Hampton.
Nice day
Nice video again! I think the only other channel I watch from around that part of the world is sea money. For some reason I think you and Timmy Turtle should do a video together fishing the outback and/or striper coast sometime.
im watching to your fishing from Philippines.....
what kind of fish finder or transducer do u use. my father just bought a Hobie outback and he is needing one.
Lowrance Hook 4 with the compatible Transducer but unfortunately that unit is discontinued the new alternative is the Lowrance Hooks 5 Inch basically the same thing but the unit screen is horizontal not vertical. amzn.to/3885otC
This is also the kit you want to setup your hobie for power with the 12 volt battery amzn.to/2YIqnAi
Wonder what you'd catch on sea robin cut bait?
Nice fishing and nice kayak. Do you have reverse in this model??
I think it may have the 360 drive if its new

Haha niiice well thanks for stocking up and getting some shads! Catch em up!!
Amazing
How big do them striped bass have to be to keep them to eat them
Why do you use the Evict instead of the SaltX 4000?
Hey guys, don't knock the sea robins. Almost 50 years ago back on the North Shore when I took out a Japanese fellow that I worked with and I threw back a sea robin he scolded me and said that they were really good eating. I told him I would keep some if he did not tell my local friends. A very small fillet but the meat is white and they are absolutely great as sashimi. Total surprise!
