This was so helpful!! My dad and I recently bought a Cr touch and I did everything and it didn't work... But when I watched this I got it!! Thank you and you got a new subscriber :)
Nice clear video!! Don't you need to set the Probe X & Y offsets from the nozzle somehow in the firmware or is that pretty much the same with all the CR-Touches between machines and not needed to be changed?
@KLRform Thanks for the reply. Got mine going but I needed to change the offsets. The probe was hitting on the edge of the bed and sliding off. First I changed it thru Gcodes via Pronterface M851 but then I found there's a menu option to do it.
for some reason my z axis wont move into the negative. i have the same version of the software you show, and i cant get the nozzle low enough to even get near the paper. i even loosened the all four corners of the bed to get more height and its still too far away!
Just got my E3PRO yesterday. Ive already had problems with filament not laying onto the bed completely and messing up on the very first layer. It was working fine yesterday and I ran a print over night and now when I start a print, it will lay down a line on the side with no problems, but the first layer in the center doesn’t stick right fron the start. I believe that my print bed has a warp right in the center. I’ve seen people say that’s a common problem. So i ended up buying a glass print bed as well as the CR Touch. But question, when i auto home my printer, it goes to the front left of the print surface but in your video yours goes to around the center. Is that because the firmware for the CR Touch changes the auto home location, or did you set your own home?
It’s the new firmware. The first home was always front left before. I have seen that glass beds are supposed to be a great upgrade. I am sure that’s in our future. Good luck.
⚠*⚠URGENT HELP NEEDED⚠ *⚠ Hello, I can't find the version of my board, which looks different than yours, even though I also have an Ender 3 Pro. However, there is some text on the board that says, "Creality3D V1.1.4", but that's not one of the possible board versions. What is going on? Thanks, Andrew
I have done everything in this video. When I go to print, it prints about .1 above where I set my points. Hence, it isn't printing properly. I have done the steps a few times down. And still same results.
Have you adjusted the z offset more? That takes a bit of trial and error to get to the right spot. Should be able to lower it a bit more to close that gap.
Hi, I'm experiencing some issues on this. I did everything like your video, until the probe Z offset... When Z axis is on - 000,5 it has a good position. So when I go to Probe Z offset and I want to set the same value, the Z axis goes down with it, so when I should enter - 00.5, the head would be stuck in my print bed... So I left it on 000.0, just to see if the auto leveling would already work out. The auto leveling started well. Left front corner ok, left rear corner ok, and then it went to the center to level, but the probe doesn't do anything so the z axis kept on going down and the hot end was burried in the print bed... :-( what's wrong? Can anyone help me?
Once you use your paper to get the z-axis movement measurement lift the z back to zero by rotating the knob in the opposite direction. THEN, go into the “probe Z offset” and input the number.
can you help me please.. no matter what i do, i cannot get my printer to print..idk whats going on.. maybe a setting, or what. but can you help me pleaseeeeeee... i can email you, or message you on facebook, or instagram video, and maybe u can help me out please.. for some reason, maybe its not leveled? idk, but for a week ive been trying to get it to work.

Great video brother! Thank you for including all the details. Just set up mine waiting to see how the print looks like... fingers crossed
Thanks! Hope the print looks good
Thank you very much for video. First video which shows clearly how to adjust the settings. A++
Glad it help.

Latest Firmware won't let you go to Negative on the Z-Axis. You can only go to 0.00 and then adjust the Z-Offset to use the paper method.
Good info thanks!
great video i just ordered the cr touch for my 3 pro tho think im going to have to do some changes to mine as i have the direct drive setup on mine
Very nice and understandable video.
Glad you liked it
thank yooooooooooooooooou
You are amazing
Thank you!
i did everything listed and for some reason when I go to level bed, the extruder tries to fly off the machine and starts grinding. Please help.

Didn’t have to mess with mine and it’s be so nice every time I go to print.

I’m having issues with mine, when I set all the z axis and probe, left side seems to still continue going down

I still can't get mine to pring right even after installing the cr touch

Whhy wont my printer allow me to make the z axis in the negatives?
Instead of trying the Z axis in the "Move axis" menu, do it directly in the "Probe Z Offset" menu, that way it will work

Won't save settings on mine

Umm, shouldn't you also heat the bed before trying to level the bed, or calculate the Z offset?
I am not sure. Maybe that would have saved on some trail and error.
Try to print on a glass bed, muts more level!
