    長年この競技を見てきましたが、この演技が歴代で一番好きです、音楽とのマッチングや後半の怒涛のステップもっと評価されて良いと思います。

    I was definitely a fan of Yuka … artistically and that impressive speed . She was better than a lot of skaters , she has elegance , grace and poise. Such a gentle little creature she is , and I’d love to know where they get their choices for music . It’s like a magical, almost Disney like quality . Very cool , thank you for posting this .

  • @chocolatesupport

    I watched it live on television back in '94, and it's still crystal clear that this totally left behind Oksana's long program/free skate. 1. Kerrigan, 2. Chen, 3. Sato, 4. Szewczenko in the long program that night.

    • @auntiechercher4266

      I agree! Oksana was over marked in both the short and long. How she ever beat Nancy with all those mistakes is beyond me! I will say that Yuka's short is cost her a medal placement and with Bonaly . . . she might have come in third if she had a better long program skate (her short program was superb)!

      そう思って下さる人が他にもいて嬉しいです。私はアメリカ東部在住で、プロになってからの彼女の目を見張る活躍にテレビ前で拍手を送っていました。VHSのテープはもう擦り切れてしまうほど繰り返し見ていました。本当にパンにバターを塗るようなスケーティングと模範的なスピンの姿勢、誰にもまねできないようなツイズルの速さには誰も太刀打ちできないと思います。惜しむらくは、彼女の才能を受け継ぐお子さんがいないことです。

    • @alexsdb9712
      @alexsdb9712 5 лет назад +5

      She wouldn't be able to keep up like Yuka did. Baiul had a hard time keeping up with her own program music and the bigger Olympic rink. And then Baiul's two footed jumps and omissions would just slow her down anyways.

    • @erika6651
      @erika6651 3 года назад +3

      I can't imagine Baiul having such incredible ending footwork, considering she didn't have any at all in her entire long program. Seriously, how did she win the gold with a performance that lacked some of the basic long program required elements? What a joke that night has turned out to be in retrospect.
