Really cool project! Using sculpey for the gums was genius.

Great vid. Awesome job as always man. As I mentioned before im looking forward to trying these designs out once material supply is easier again.
Just an idea.. and not needed for the location you are applying it to with the current design. With the empty servo you put in, do you think there would be any benefit to leaving the motor in and connecting that motor to the servo next to it, syncing them them up with one of them run with reversed polarity? Give you a bit more push without using anymore pins. Again, your design looks solid and prob doesnt need that, just seeing as the servo case is going in there anyway.
I have a vid put together on how to do that as I was doing it for my project about a week ago.

Thanks! I checked out your video, I'm not sure it would be necessary on the lip servos but your method would actually have been super useful for the jaw servos, I had some trouble syncing those up. Thanks for the tip!

@@WillCogley side note incase u checked it out. I forgot to mention in the video it is good remove the stopper pin from the slave servo. Will help if they ever get out of sync and prevent it drop drawing too much current.

Hey Will, I just wanted to say how amazed I am by all of the projects you do. They are really something. I cant help but feel perplexed by your ability to come up with these ideas and solutions to problems you encounter, also the fact you have no fear of biting in these more complex inventions. I guess that's what separates genuine inventors and engineers from us wanna-be ones.
I would like to take this moment and ask, if you find the time, would you mind making a video or sharing some resourses about your
thought process, and how you approach building something out of an idea. I find myself often drafting an idea just because I get the feeling Im out of my league or it is impossible and that makes me sad.

Thanks Karlo, that is high praise indeed! Yeah I think I could find the time to make a video on my development process, thanks for the suggestion.

really nice!! really like the idea of the servo tester to get the servos in position during assembly!

How tall are your mg996R servos? Mine didn't fit in the servo block. They were 2-3 mm too tall, as measured from the screws on the bottom to the screws on the top. They otherwise look identical, and the screw holes are correct, so I know it isn't a scaling issue.

I'm curious why the lip pieces are two parts instead of one. Was that a later add on or something? Seems like they could be printed as one piece.

Is there a good resource on how to load the programming into an Arduino? I made your eye mechanism but couldn't get the programming to work. I have zero experience doing it. Thanks and you make awesome stuff!

How noisy are the servos? I build a lot of things for Halloween and it drives me crazy to hear motor sounds.
