- The Rider of The Law western movie starring Bob Steele. This is one of Bob's best! There is a good amount of comedy in this feature. Bob arrives in town as a dude from the east. This town is controlled by a band of outlaws by the name of The Tolliver Brothers. The 6 brothers have quite the grip on the town. Well we all know Bob could never be a dude so he must be undercover out to clean up this western town of all the corruption. This is another vintage, classic film released from the archives of the www.westernsontheweb.com collection of western movies. Love all the old movies thank you so much for sharing
The director of this movie, Robert N Bradbury, is the father of Bob Steele. He also directed John Wayne in many of his early B Movie Westerns for Lone Star Productions.
Absolutely hilarious. I love it.
Pink Panther and Columbo both were plagiarists of this episode.
Thanks again for your effort and dedication to the preservation of and sharing with us, of these gems.
Ya, this has all the family values a young family could want.
Thank God for Bob Terry!
I never laughed so hard in my life.
BY FAR, THIS IS THE MOST ENTERTAINING WESTERN BOB STEELE I'VE WATCHED; AS A BOY, I USED TO HEAR MY POP CALL HIS GAMBLING BUDDY...""BOB STEELE""...NOW I KNOW WHY!!!
I grew up on western movies, and have always wished to live the life of a cowboy. If I ever get a chance to learn .
@John Howard Camer, I hope you get this message, I can't tell , I had to write your name in, in a lot of ways I feel the same way even though some of it looks hard maybe a hard life ,but when I watch them I long for that too, your name would definitely fit in a western town, thank goodness for men like Bob Terry that keep these shows we love and dream about , they are the keepers,( watchers so to speak) of the shows we love to watch ,take care partner.
I love watching these old movies. Wife thinks I watch to many lol
Mine too 🤠
Well tell her you could be watch something else but you do not think she will like it . HA HA HA
This movie is so much "Of A Type." There was a time, before Netflix, when it would have played -- in a theater, of course -- second, after a cartoon and before the main feature.
Like my old man would say " only in the movies son , only in the movies " / thanks i grew up watching old cowboy movies i can not get enough of them / I always say I wished I grew up in those days / They were the people that built and made this country / sure it was not e/z , but I got a feeling there was a lot of less b/s tolerated back then / and a yes was a yes and a no was a no and your word and hand shake were everything you were judge by / and you looked people in the eye when talking to them / I think it was like that up till the late 1950 then all hell broke louse / and look what we got to day / it's all b/s / GOD help us all . / WELL , happy trails to you until we meet again , happy trails to ..............
Thanks for sharing it! I always enjoy watching Old Western Movies though. 👍👌👏
An of course, I'm a subscriber!
Thanks Again Though.
Great movie...! Keep them coming...!
Thank you
what a difference a day makes.
Glad to watch westerns that were my dad and i favoreds
My dad was a great Bob Steele fan. Sadly, later, he did baddie roles then the idiot role in F Troop. But it was sroles like this one that impressed my dad
Bob Steele worked quiet awhile and was in a lot of movies, even when he was older. I never watched F-Troop but I've seen him in quiet a few movies.
Thanks for uploading this episode.
Thank you Bob God bless you
Looks like one of the first movies after the silent movies era, even in good condition. Very good movie. Thanks for the posting.
Thank you for watching.
WesternsOnTheWeb : your welcome. I am a western movies fan, a good western movies, old o new and I have watched every movie you have posted, there is not regret. Thank you again.
shizuo kanemoto j
checked out the whirling logs, and I stand corrected,I knew that the Tibetans used the symbol, but not the native Americans.still enjoyed watching the film thank you.
Great movie!
That's a classic ending the state appointed marshal said I'll forget about you being involved colonel I want your daughter
Amazing how they can shoot through glass window panes without it breaking! They just don't make glass they way they used to.
Howdy
Good movie for it's age but how many bullets in a six shooter?
Oh you didn't see him reloading?
TOMBSTONE CANYON GOOD SHOW, MR.PERRY.
This movie is similar, or a remake of a movie with Ken Maynard playing the character that Bob Steele plays in this one.
Or maybe the Maynard one is a remake of this one.
What did they use in the shell to make so much smoke? Buffalo was not the brightest light bulb in the room. He reminded me of Fuzzy Knight who played the sidekick later in the western movies. good movie for it time. (Mississippi Gulf Coast, USA)
Buffalo was played by Si Jenks (Howard Jenkins, I believe). Born in 1896. He was in 244 movies. He fit in westerns.
Liked how the baddie could shoot around corners
This is a Bob Steel movie
I think Bob Steel made more westerns than John Wayne!
Marshall and deputy always get prettiest girl of the town..
Good show. but at the end they forgot to hide door bell to the right of door, I didn't know they had electric door bells back then.
WATCHED
This movie starts out with what we need to beware of most politicians. That they tell us what we want to hear. In the last frames of the western was there a blooper with the house that Steele went into had a button to ring the door bell.
GOODNESS GRACIOUS!!! FLOYD, YOU SURELY HAVE THE EAGLE'S EYES TO PPINPOINT THAT DOORBELL!!!
@@jesusapolicarpio-delacruz3851 Yes and you misspelled PINPOINT.
Too bad they quit making 20-shooters like they did back in the old west.
Also, it was easier whih of the players were good guys and bad guys because of the colour of their hats. Look closely and you will see.
I like the old westerns, and I wonder, what happened to the old stars, like Bob Steel ? I have seen him in soooo many many movies over the years, can you please tell me about him, and his career?
Wikipedia has an article on his life.
Wikipedia or IMBD has info/ bio of Bob Steele.
47:55 "Buffalo, PHONE every rancher in this valley..."📞☎️🙄 Alexander Graham Bell 1847-1922
Ha ha, check out the date on the calendar in the bank, first it was the 24 and then later it was the 17th when the bank was robbed
Yea...after reading your comment, I looked for that and saw it too. I wonder if a week went by in the shooting of the picture and they kept changing the date on the calendar as the days went by. Ha...we'll never know...no one could possibly still be alive to tell us. Also, did you notice how narrow the street was?
Robert Last you afe very observant.
Looks like Harold Lloyd.
Apache Bank???? you have guts (to lose)
So all those deaths of townsfolk were because of the banker and he was let off because the Marshall wants to hanky-panky with his daughter.
"Something just doesn't seem right about this western
why does it look like it was set in the 1930's,
I know the movie was made in the 30's but the clothes
Bob Steele was wearing look more like 1930's eastern
suits than 1800's style eastern suits."-🤠🐴🖥🍺☕🌐..
Another good ol movie. What's with the swastika on the back of Buffalo's, the sheriff, vest though?
Howdy Charles. The native American tribes all used this symbol WAAAAYYYYY before germany did. It is called whirling logs. It has a few meanings kind of a good luck symbol. There are several places online where you can learn more about it.
WesternsOnTheWeb Thanks for the education. And howdy to you too.
What we know as the Swastika was a Navajo symbol. All of the road signs in Arizona had the Swastika on them as good luck markers. The Indians considered it a sign of respect to them. All the signs disappeared practically overnight when Hitler declared war on the United States.
@@davidtaylor8688 The stories I have read that one of Indian misson High Schools used it as their team symbol until the Nazis used it for their national symbol. It may go all the way back to tower on Babylon and ziggurat.
Bob a good guy Ha Hah, No way :)
💖💯😎🐴🐴🐴🐴🐴🔥👍
What no kissing 😘
it here
I paid my money for. the mouth
Thank goodness they have improved. The Little Rascules is better than this hoky western.
I've watched thousands of these shows and the truth is that , they are all the same. Oh sure, they have different actors and plot lines but really there's around 5 story lines they all go with.
Have you had a chance to watch any Hallmark Christmas movies yet?
Man, that is the truth. You can pretty much guess what'll happen next in any situation.
The bad guys are super rotten, like democrats.
