  • When your corn starts to yellow, sometimes farmers can become concerned. In this video, Pioneer Field Agronomist Matt Montgomery explains why corn sometimes can yellow, how soil chemistry can affect it, and what can be done about it. Usually a sulfur deficiency within the plant is the cause, rather than a sulfur deficiency in the soil. Matt also discusses the sulfur cycle, and how the corn plant uptakes sulfur and how that can be affected by various factors, such as bacteria, temperature, soil conditions and types, and plant development.

Awesome video and information. The farming community has to start utilizing technology share sites, and social media to share information. Car communities, tech communities, cooking communities, etc all exist that do this very thing. I'm glad pioneer is trying this. Thank you.
