After allowing these years, you still look like a kid in a candy store when you are out running. Such a joy to watch. Keep it like that for as many years. That’s why there is only ONE Sage Canaday. I fell so, so grateful! 😊
Beautiful views! How do you not accidentally trip while running through all those messy rock scrambles while simultaneously holding your camera and making sure you film the right shot? Haha
Love the trail runs. This is the sort of effort that I aspire to - a long day in the mountains seeing beautiful areas and having a good time out in nature.
Did this loop clockwise a few months ago when I was there! Also took a detour to Crater Lake. I was hoping to run into you in the trails. lol. Beautiful place!
Love your mountain run videos, Sage! I’d love to see you make a video about what it’s like to live in Boulder as an ultra runner (are the trails crowded, is the town busy, what are the challenges, etc?) and which trails are your favorite in Boulder or other parts of the world
Thanks for posting these vids. The whole covid thing has made travel difficult and I have been yearning for some out in the mountains so being able to experience through your videos(and Sandy's!) helps a bit.
Supperb footage and editing! And especially thank you for placing the camera, then backtracking on the trail and then running towards the camera again... just so that it looks Cool on video.. the effort/s is definitely noticed!!!!
I miss CO sooooo much FL sucks it’s so flat and boring. I Will be back the Mountains 🏔 are calling everyday since I left in 2017. Great video thanks for the trek through the Rockies.
The best one so far Sage, thanks. The Silverton vlogs recently were great, this one tops it I would say. It would be great to see this kind of vlog in the winter to. Maybe you could do a mountain running playlist (have not looked yet to see if you have one).
Compressport calf sleeves (I'm sponsored by them). These are the R2. I like the feeling of some light pressure and promotion of blood flow sometimes, but I think they are also great for sun protection/protection from shrubs and sticks too.
Vo2maxProductions thanks. Much appreciated. I have been dabbling in using sleeves. Sometimes it really feels like they are helping some general fatigue when I’m doing a lot of vertical and other days I just can’t seem to tell. Strange. I do almost always use taller socks at elevation where the brush is scrubby so I can definitely see these doing double duty there. I will give this brand a shot. Love your vids and really appreciate you taking the time to answer my question. Take care.
I ate like 800 calories (some in a drink mix). That was only a rate of a little over 100 calories/hour which actually isn't very much. I probably should have brought more food/gels!
we've been thinking about getting some bear spray but I doubt I'll be able to have it out in time (we don't have grizzly bears here luckily). If a big cat is going to attack I probably won't even see them coming before they pounce....I guess I'd try to stab it in the eye or grab a rock/stick and fight hard if that happened. Bear (black bears) you're supposed to make noise and side-step, but then also fight back if they attack. Otherwise I was generally more worried of other creatures like Moose and humans!
@@jamesongaertner9416 yeah there's a filter on that! If I was at 12,000' or higher and it was coming off an isolated snow-melt it would probably be fine without a filter. I don't like taking any chances (after knowing what its like to get Giardia...trust me...you don't want to get Giardia!)

Love it Sage. We need more of this!
One of the best videos in this channel with the scenery and music. Perfect.
Always good to see you smiling with a gorgeous mountain view in the background. Also nice tunes! Very enjoyable video, Sage.

Thank YOU for the fantastic reVisit to feeble ilg's former backyard! really appreciate the extra effort on a long run! head bowed,
This reminds me of Sage videos of old, just out in the mountains with nothing but running and scenery. I love it!
Those are some of the most epic views I’ve seen in your videos, love it
Beautiful views! How do you not accidentally trip while running through all those messy rock scrambles while simultaneously holding your camera and making sure you film the right shot? Haha
I actually almost fell really hard a few times (somehow I was able to catch myself though!)
Love the trail runs. This is the sort of effort that I aspire to - a long day in the mountains seeing beautiful areas and having a good time out in nature.

Great vlog of a nice loop. How do you replenish water out there?
Fantastic video! Thanks so much!
One of your best video/runs! Thank you!
Hey Sage, what's the CamelBak option you're using? I'm a big fan of their gear, got bigger day packs but a bit floppy and need a vest!
man, do I miss doing 30, 40 mile runs in the mountains
Fabulous!
Loved the footage

Tunes and views. Nice.
Awesomeeee!

Can you tell us about the calf sleeves you use and the benefits you see? That would be great! Thanks. Great video.

What do you do to protect yourself from big cats and bears!?!?

Anyone know what Hoka shoes Sage is wearing??
Torrent I think (and that’s what it says on his Strava).
@@Jameswmin yes, those are Torrent 1s
I’m running in the 2s, love them.
Wish I could swap lives with you my friend.
I don't wanna call sage out or anything, but it's actually 48km..
Damn those internet fakes
😍😍
11:15 can you really drink that water?
You can drink any water...
...Once! (Seriously though, mountain water is nature’s ambrosia)
I believe he’s got a filter in his bottle
Edit: he says it around 10:37
