    We've owned the 9.1 for over a week and can officially say for $999 this is one of the best surround set ups for the money. Crisp sound, clean dialog, deep resonating bass and accurate spatial sound. We had purchased the Sonos Arc surround set originally and loved it however when I visited a friend and heard the JBL I decided to take the Sonos back and picked up the JBL. I can say that the Sonos set may have a slight edge in some areas but in our opinion no were close to Justify the extra $800.

      How’s the sound quality of the rear detachable speakers? Are they noticeably loud enough when listening to music or will it get drowned out from the front bar and subwoofer? I’m very close to picking this up within the next coming days but just want to absolutely sure this will be the winner.

      @@jpxx6674 i have the 9.2.4, in my br,lol. I like it ,the dialogue is much clearer than the 200$ vizio sb i had before,but music sounded better on the vizio,i watch a ton of movies,the newer ones with dolby atmos,and even older blurays soon great,you dont benifit as much with older dvds with lesser audios. I guess the bottom line,was it worth the money? Not 100 % sure,have not had it that long,and 1400 is a lotta cake,for me anyway. The one u mention is considerably cheaper. Based on all my research,i thought this my best option,i have it hooked to an lg c9 oled,which compliment each other well. Ive had a few issues where sound may not be producing during playback with a 4k player,or casting from a phone. But just turning the tv off for a few seconds,usually fixes it easy enough. I was concerned about the firmware update but mine came ready to go.vizio has a atmos bar for around 600 i think,which may be better for music,with black friday approaching, may get a better deal if you wait? Greetings Robin! I appreciate your point that this was a super positive comparison. A few points I should have made. First, these are all simply best of breed in terms of soundbars, so these are the ones that really stand out. The second point is that for every review we do, there are dozens of products we don't put out videos on. In other words, we simply don't waste people's time with reviews and comparisons on products that we don't believe in. The third point is that our individual reviews are where we dive deeper into any of the negatives if there are any to call out.

      No soundbar in this world sounds better than a set of high quality home theater system. If you really care about audio quality, you have enough space, and you do not mind speaker wires & an av receiver, go with the Klipsch.
      Soundbars have gotten much better recently. They are so hot, mainly because of the simplicity and space saving that they provide. Most soundbars are good with movies, but they struggle with music.
      If you don't want to do wiring, or you do not have enough space for 5+ speakers, a subwoofer, and an av receiver, or that you move alot, you will not go wrong with any of these soundbars.
      The laws of physics always stand. Soundbars are small, so they can't move as much air as floorstanding speakers do. The true Dobly Atmos experience happens with down firing atmost ceiling speakers. These soundbars depend on sound reflection, so they can never sound as good as ceiling Atmos speakers.

    • @Jonathan1003

    Missing Yamaha's Sound Projector. Yamaha's marketing department always seemed to fail to differentiate the difference between sound bars and sound projectors. The projectors ability to "beam" each channel using reflective surfaces around the room is superior to sound bars vaguely hosing down the room with sound

I have complained about Sundbar and am waiting for a reply. Generally the sony HT-ST 5000 is suitable for a 20 square meter room instead of a home theater, but my Panasonic SC-PT 860 home theater has been playing in a second room all the time for 13 years. These are ultimately the ones that made the cut. The Samsung HW-Q90R Harman/Kardon 7.1.4ch Soundbar did make it into our list. No plans to do the Q950t as the HW-Q90R beat that one in terms of high-performance audio. Hope that helps you out! • @AudioAdvice
      @AudioAdvice  3 года назад +1

      Greetings friend! Here are a few key differences between those models: The Sony HT-5000 is 7.1.2 full Dolby Atmos. On the other hand, both the Sony HT-Z9F and g700 ar 3.1 systems with a dedicated center channel and a subwoofer, so these are good for dialogue. While both bars support Atmos, they both lack satellites or upward-firing speakers to present Atmos all around you. All objects will sound as if they're coming from in front of you on these bars unless you buy your own surrounds, rears, and Atmos speakers. Either of these would be good, but neither one is a complete 7.1.2 full Dolby Atmos solution like the Sony HT-5000. You can read a lot more about the Sony HT-5000 and the other Dolby Atmos bars in our full-written comparison here: www.audioadvice.com/videos-reviews/2020-best-soundbars/

    Which is best for large room with high vaulted ceilings, (22’)?

    • @AudioAdvice
      @AudioAdvice  3 года назад

      Hi Andre. If your room is fairly large, and especially if you have vaulted ceilings, you’ll need some decent-sized speakers and a good subwoofer or two. Depending on the room geometry, you may want to consider a Home Theater System with speakers all around the room for the best coverage. A soundbar system may not be enough coverage to give you the sound you'd be looking for in this situation. Have a look at our guide to the Best Home Theater systems here: www.audioadvice.com/videos-reviews/the-best-home-theater-systems/ and if you have any questions, come have a chat with one of our soundbar/home theater chat experts at www.audioadvice.com/ so we can help you determine which one is right for your room. While we do not have a Firestick to play with at our store, I think you are correct. There are some limitations on the streaming boxes with Dolby Atmos on Netflix. Roku has the same issue. Your best bet would be a new 4K Apple TV as that should output Dolby Atmos. You should also check page 9 of the JBL owner's manual for the best device settings.
