Learn to build mobile apps for Android, iOS and Windows Phone Apps using Ionic v2/v3 and Parse Server as the backend.

COUPON CODE: RUclipsIONIC
Create an Android, iOS and Windows Phone using Ionic Framework v2/v3 and Parse Server as the backend. All you need is little know-how of HTML, CSS and JS. Ionic Framework v2 uses Angular 2, and v3 uses Angular 4 which in turn use TypeScript. We will be learning all this while building a complete app from scratch. Since Ionic 3 is very similar to Ionic 2, the app that you build after April 6th, 2017 will be built with Ionic 3 instead of Ionic 2.
Learn to perform CRUD operations on data stored on Parse Server using the Parse Server's RESTful API in Ionic 2/3. We will be building a Friends List app from scratch and perform create, read, update and delete operations on the data stored on Parse Server. You do not need to buy or download anything to take this course, all you need is a computer with any OS installed on it and you are ready to get stared with the course.
Great man! Thank u so much for this tutorial. It's helped me a lot. From Brasil!

Hello samarth, this is great tutorial! and very easy to understand it.
Can you make a video to send notification to specify device from web app ?
greatttttt!!!
Great video Samarath. What is the work around If I want to make an app for my client and want him to send push notifications from WordPress site directly?
Thanks for this, I came here hoping that you would explain how to configure android to have silent notifications. I have done it on iOS, but struggling to have it work on Android. Have you ever create a class that extents NotificationExtenderService and implemented the onNotificationProcessing method, I believe according to oneSignal documentation that this will make silent notifications not to show. I don't know where to put the java class that I create so my Ionic built takes it. Thanks again !
Good videi! How can we send a notification to a single device via linux command line? I am thinking to use the command CURL.

Nice video...but GCM didnt worked for me. So had to go with Firebase Cloud Messaging(FCM) from firebase console and used the credential and keys from the cloud messaging tab of the Firebase console.
How can we store the push notification data in ionic storage as I am unable to call any function in notification callback function
super tutorial but if i click notification how to redirect particular page can you please help me thank you
Hi Samarth. Thanks a lot. It worked liked a charm. I just need one more thing. I would like to send the notifications from my NodeJs project to Ionic application. Is there any integration of OneSignal with NodeJs?
Abdullah Feroz there is no official one. Officially, they recommend a REST api. Here is an unofficial one github.com/scoutforpets/node-onesignal/
how can we send notification like whats app from server
Good video. I am wondering if you put a video to send a specific tag from the user's phone to oneSignal. For example, the user have a option to select to receive the push notification or not. If the user does not want to receive then we can filter by the tag. Thank you.
In that case, you can just unsubscribe the user. There are methods for that. Tags are used to filter users based on properties like their preferences, region, language, interests etc.
Hello Samarth, Thanks for the video!. Can you make a video about sending a notification from the app ?
Duly noted. :)
did u find any solution ?
any solution ?

Hello Samarth,

Thanks in advance
Thanks @Samarth Agarwal. nice tutorial. but there is one problem I am facing. I am wondering how you did not import onesignal from @ionic-native? its giving me error "cannot read property 'onesignal' and my app is crashed? but when i tried to import it its not finding the plugin? where does it install the one signal plugin so that i can import it to avoid above error?
Try to follow the onesignal ionic native documentation.
hello , how can push notification when app was closed ( not run in background like video ) , thanks
Hello Samarth, it's nice tutorial. I want to implement one signal with wordpress and ionic. When i write a post it should be push notification to app. I am using wp rest api for getting data from wordpress to ionic
Just use the OneSignal Plugin for WP. It offers most functionalities. For notifications on events, you will have to write custom PHP hooks.
How to send image notifications like Flipkart/Amazon sell offers?
Thank you for the video ! But wondering that are we able to make a nodejs bot so that it can send notifications without doing one by one. Is it possible with One Signal ? Thank you
erdem günenç OneSignal itself supports automation of messages. You can write your own Nodejs scripts as well. It offers an API.
Thank you for your fast reply. Waiting your new udemy videos.
Hi Sir,
It's great video. Thanks for making it very easy.
I have one question,
how can I Send a Push Notification from Node JS server??

I think onesignal has a nodejs sdk.
How can i setup in app url open please help

Thanks for this video. Can you do one with the iOS platform configuration? Please, it would be very usefull.
Have a nice day!
yeah... always is a pain with iOS.
Any luck finding videos/resources for iOS config?
will this work when the application is killed by the user not closed and running in the background?
You go into onesignal website and send notification manually how i have make it dynamic. I have created one app. I have implement one functionality whenever i have insert new data into database so at time automatically send notification to all. Of some data inserted so how to implement it. Thanks for your guidens...
HEllo did you find a solution/Tuto for that ?
No. I have face one another problem of filetransfer plugin i implement all thing is that correct but file are not download.
Hello everyone dear friends..
My problem is, how to do 1 time local notification per every 10 minutes or every per 1 hour? Because i couldn't set it more than about 5 minutes because app take itself standby mode after 5-6 minutes and it is not sending the local notification for a information reminder application project... Please help me, thank you...
Is it possible to implement this without using GOOGLE/FIREBASE at all?
No.
how to app know that notification is sent . i mean in component , not on app.componenet.ts file... how can pass data from app.component.ts to page component that notification is received
IT k use events. Publish an event when a notification is received, subscribe to that event in your pages.
Hi bro, I try it but I can't run it on device, nothing happen. I did all the steps but "check subscribers user" not working, I use tabs in ionic 2.
I am seeing the same thing... Did you find a fix for this.. thanks!!
How can I send a notification from http to a particular cell phone?
Did you figured that out? Looking for the same..
For ionic 3 same?
yes. It supports ionic v2/3
doesn't work now you have to go to firebase not google console to get the key and id but you still need to enable messaging
I'm executing the exact steps but getting an unauthonized error. I've noticed that the keys now should be firebase keys: ibb.co/e8hn8z Is there a way to use just the google server api key and project id?
You also have to go to the firebase console and activate firestore for your application: documentation.onesignal.com/docs/generate-a-google-server-api-key
Hi. I am not sure. Try making your key unrestricted from the Google Cloud Console.
Hi Samarth. The key was unrestricted, that was the strange thing. After adding firebase to the app with the firebase console it worked. The system is up and running now on my apps. Thanks for this great tutorial and the quick response!
Hi, thanks for the tutorial, very good !. It works fine in the android emulator, but when I run "ionic serve" in the browser, I get the following errors:
Runtime Error
Uncaught (in promise): TypeError: Can not read property 'OneSignal' of undefined TypeError: Can not read property 'OneSignal' of undefined at http: // localhost: 8100 / build / main.js: 76803: 30 at t.invoke
Could anyone help me?
Thanks
It cannot be tested in the browser. You need to test it in an emulator or on a real device.
Ok thanks Samarth.
did you solve your problem , I have the same problem , I can't use ionic serve if I follow this tutorial !
Is this totally free?
I have a problem.
Uncaught (in promise): TypeError: Cannot read property 'OneSignal' of undefined TypeError: Cannot read property 'OneSignal' of undefined at localhost:8102/build/main.js:76869:30 at t.invoke
You cannot test this in the browser. Test on a device or emulator.
@Samarth Your comment here saved me a lot of stress! Thank you.
is this service free for 5000 Users online??????????????
