    I’ve enjoyed watching your videos on the build! I know this is a little late, but for anyone else when it comes to awnings, Napa Auto Parts is selling an 8x8 ARB style awning for $99 + tax. Again great videos!

    Thanks for sharing. I like all the detail about your creative process with this project. I like that you have more space than the original teardrop campers. I also like that you made it a "square drop", because the build is simpler and feels like it is more within my skill range. I love how you sourced some good windows and doors for your camper too. It adds a lot of class to the project and I am sure you will enjoy them. All in all, well thought out!

    Hey, Thanks so much for this video showing how far you get with the raptor liner. I plan to use it on my build, but couldn't find any info on how much coverage you get out of the kits. This was perfect now I know what to order. Thanks again!

    Good morning! What did you use for the plywood seams? Did you paper the corners somehow? I think I'm going to use raptor on my build but no idea what to do where the plywood sheets meet.

      All my seams were wood glued at original construction so they were solid and sealed. As far as sharp corners are concerned I recommend sanding to a round edge.

    Just a suggestion on load/unload. Pin two pieces of angle iron on bed of trailer to match the outer face of the skids when the trailer is centered. This will guide the trailer to stay centered. No scuffing . By pining they can be easily removed and stored.with minimal holes in trailer bed.

    • @LivingOurAmericanDream
      @LivingOurAmericanDream  3 года назад

      Yes! I plan to add angle iron to the bed of the trailer and maybe leave it there as a guide. For what I use the trailer for it wouldn’t even be a bother being there. Thanks!

      I had thought about mounting Teflon skid strips on the front corner of camper as well and using the same side jacks that truck bed Campers use for loading and unloading.

    Hey very cool build. Do you think you could add angle iron to the sides, and lift up with camper jacks?

    • @LivingOurAmericanDream
      @LivingOurAmericanDream  Год назад

      I could but the way I do it seems ok for me. Lots of ways to do one of these though. Thanks for watching.

    How did you treat the plywood surface before applying the liner material?

    Is this your first stab at applying a liner? I’ve never even used a spray painter so this is good tutorial.

    Perhaps I've missed it, but how do you secure the camper to the trailer?

    • @LivingOurAmericanDream
      @LivingOurAmericanDream  2 года назад +1

      The bottom skids of the pod have horizontal holes that I ran cables through. The cables come together under the trailer frame and tighten with a turn buckle. Two cable setups hold everything in place.

    Do you find that after a few coats it will fill in the gaps along the corners of the plywood or should a filler be applied prior to raptor liner?

    • @LivingOurAmericanDream
      @LivingOurAmericanDream  3 года назад

      Prior to applying the raptor, I filled gaps and sanded. Additionally, I made sure to primer the entire exterior really well, focusing on making sure the primer got in all gaps and seams.

    How has the liner held up so far? I've heard a lot of setups like this cracking when the plywood goes through expansion and contraction with the seasons

    • @LivingOurAmericanDream
      @LivingOurAmericanDream  2 года назад

      So far so good, zero cracks. However, full disclosure, it’s been stored inside all winter.
