Here’s a video idea if you’re ever short: Breaking down the minor “tweaks” in one of your stylized/anime-like characters, specifically todo with the form of the face. What you said about sculptures looking awkward and sometimes bad due to either an essential part missing, lack of texture, or a minor form problem really hit home and I would love that explored more! Not sure if other people would be as interested in it as I would though.
I'd love to see a part 2 where you complete the concept! I know you're doing quickies basically but hopefully you can come back to some when you have more time :D
I used to be in ceramics in school and I've been missing playing around with sculpting since finding your channel but I don't have a pc for zbrush. I have an iPad pro and your video with yours made me happy to know there's an app for sculpting. I'm just scared that I'll spend $20 and then realize I don't like digital sculpting
I’d love to see your take on buzz lightyear in your style or even another member of star command (from the Pixar cartoon spinoff from years ago) keep up the great work I’m loving your work :)
Awesome video as always. definetly this is like a have learnt sculpting by watching other artists workflow or techniques and applying them to my own. Awesome job Ben.
Thanks for your videos! Your comments worth a ton! You keep saying things I come across all the time and I feel frustrated about them. It is good to hear that those things are common and there are ways to overcome them. The same-face syndrome, never heard of that but I'm suffering from it all the time and it is so annoying! A very important thing you focus on is time management. For day 4 i wanted to do a full character (also a little girl) but in the end I could not finish anything, so no entry for me for Day 4 :( . One needs to know how much time one has and be realistic about what can be achieved within that time frame. Deciding how much time and effort spend on each part of the job I think is something comes from experience and knowing one's capabilities.
His thumbnail shows the whole body sculpted, so why dose he only sculpt the head in the video? I get that he had a limited amount of time, but if you are just go to make only part of the character, then why not show only the part you make in the video on the thumbnail so its not click bait to some degree.
I always love watching your creative process evolve, from block out to refined details it’s so awesome 👏
Glad you enjoy it!

Dude he's cheating how is he so fast?
This channel is so underrated. I love it so much and it deserves way more credit and views.
folygon is actually me going into detail about making a sim in sims 4😂♥️ also love your sculpts so satisfying

The app is only $10, so not a huge investment. I think it's worth trying out just for fun!
Hey really interested in this was wondering what the app is called ☺️
@@ProjectYummy nomad sculpt it's $15 :)
@@darlingbones Wow the price on that app is really volatile.
@@domino4843 I am broke $15 is like 3 meals I could buy

This was very helpful! I'm curious if you create a mouth bag for your character?
Not in this one, but a lot of them I do!
That illustration is super cute. Getting Chrono Trigger vibes.
It's nice to watch your daily before I do mine.
I've been trying to incorporate at least one thing you do in each vid daily.
I'd love to see you take on the rest of the illustration at some point because this is pretty good already. Maybe after October is done?
would you consider putting the full unedited sculpt videos up to purchase on gumroad? I'd love to get a closer look at some of the techniques you use!
Omg she looks like anime pebbles flintstone 😆❤ Great work!
Thank you! 😊
@@Follygon You're welcome!
I don't even do sculpting or 3d related stuff but it's really cool to watch that kind of talent. I would try to learn if I wasn't so old lol
It’s never too late!
@@ceciliasalazar8279 its never to late !!!!
@@ceciliasalazar8279 to go from a career to another at 47 is very risky tho. And idk if doing it as a hobby is enough to make good stuff :/
Bearded White Man my mom is 47 and she still continues to do crafts and arts stuff with me even tho she’s a dental hygienist
@@ilovemyselfduh Alright... But then where do I start ?
Can you teach us how to create clothes and bandages? 😊
Everyone here be doing October challenges and here I am doing nothing
So do an October challenge. It's not too late to start!
Can you sculpt a power ranger?
the talent
You should make the body it look cool so far
You didn't do the body!? :(
question: is doing 3D art expensive?
answer: No, a tablet is between 100-400$ and you can crack the softwares as long as you keep them for learning (or use free alternatives)
The KiWeeD ah i see thx, it's still a little expensive but compared to other items it's not
i know you are doing these in only one day; how many hours on average have you been dedicating to each sculpt?
I always put the time in the description :)
Tgis guy is gonna sculpt more pieces in a month than me in a year wtf
How long did this sculpt take
I always put the time in the description :) 2.5 hours
@@Follygon yeah i didnt pull it all down😂🤣👍
are you filming and editing this is in one day
YES it takes way too long. But getting faster!
@@Follygon wow i applaud you cause i know how long it takes sigh
Ooga you like what you see boy

The thumbnail shows a full body sketch, but only a blurred sculpted bust, so it’s not lying
