- Finally got a special KCS horn in Illinois. This story is a bit convoluted. 4830 was seen leaving Texas on Q-ROBCHI, but somewhere it got yanked off and put on some other train bound for West Quincy, MO. A few days pass by, and Zack, Asa, and I were chatting, and we noticed a train on ATCS leaving West Quincy yard heading towards the Quincy webcam so we watched it for the hell of it. Turns out it was a vehicle train bound for Blue Island with none other than KCS 4830 leading, also with a Ferromex ACe trailing. After tracking it on the Brookfield for a few hours, it finally made its way onto the Chilli and the rest is history.

That is the coolest doppler I've ever heard, it's like the pitch stays on-key.
The speed of that and the motors screams is just perfection

This horn just brings back so much nostalgia, because when I was younger I didn’t know the name of it and it was so deep I used to call with the killer horn, man I miss my child hood
