God when you first meet Leshy you fear him so much, place him as such a villain in your mind, like an eldritch horror. But by the end, at least to me, while not exactly "good" he was my favorite character. He clearly cared the most about the actual game of inscryption, he's the only one to allow you to use other abilities as they were inteded, Po3 only used the gems to make his cards stronger, while several of Grimora's cards are in Leshy's selection. Plus he thinks being trapped in the cards is the best experience for some one (it's definitely not based on how the characters described it). This was also my fourth run (AKA I died 3 times) I just wish I hadn't got so lucky to get such op cards that early because that meant act 1 was done :(

Every time the player get to the end whether they win or loss, he seem sad because the game is about to end. In my mind, Leshy is just a depressed guy who want to have a friend that is willing to play with him forever.
He's a beast to all of them, but what they don't understand is that his very simplistic way of thinking (not dumb, just simple) is what made his section the most fun to play through. Leshy was about atmosphere, flavor, fun and keeping things easy to digest. He was brutal and toyed with people's lives, but he did it in the true spirit of the game.
@@Gakusangi That's true. Plus he technically doesn't even kill anyone (unless you count P03 in the end) as he knows Luke is just playing different 'characters' each time he dies in the game, and is just doing it as a way to make the game more atmospheric and scary.
I want a physical trading card game for inscryption i would play tf out of it that and collect all of it, there could even be a whole rarity system and new cards separate from the game
It wouldn't work so well as a one-on-one trading card game, because the game isn't designed around being one. Would totally work as a Table Top RPG though
All he wanted to do was play cards for eternity, so he tried his best to not let anybody get too far, he hid the New Game button in the back room to make sure he could play cards with challengers forever. But, for most first-time players, Leshy's tendency to turn people into Deathcards became his undoing. Many people beat him with the help of powerful deathcards that they had made during previous passes. Maybe if Leshy just sent people back to the very beginning instead of killing them, there wouldn't have been deathcards, and Ouroboros is harder to get than a Deathcard, he might have had a better chance at keeping the game going perpetually.
tbh I did manage to beat leshy WITHOUT using ouroborous OR a deathcard, so I think someone probably could best him given enough tries. He should definitely drop the mycologist though. I made an overpowered moosebuck that was unkillable and had the base stats of an urayuli, but with double the health.
Act 1 is the best. I played the rest of the game, but it was mostly "I really want to know what happenes next" rather than "I love the gameplay of this part". I am so glad they made Kaycee's Mod.
i've been listening to these extented tracks for the past month while studying for three finals at the same time, the threatening aura definitely helped to stay focused lol. my last final is tomorrow and i know i'll probably hear leshy's theme in my head while taking it
If anyone wants to hear a badass voice for Leshy, look up fatguy703 . Him and Lenny,(voice of leshy) have a play though and Lenny gives him a perfect voice.
I just finished their shared LP a few days ago, and you're right: LENNY'S LESHY VOICE IS SO FUCKING GOOD. If it was the first Leshy voice I heard, Lenny's Leshy voice would've ended up being my canon voice for him.
Leshy... the best of the Scybes. He's (In our opinion) the nicest of them all, and just wants to have a fun experience. He knows the 'Human' is just a model being controlled by The Lucky Carder. That's why he's brutal when it comes to the weights. He knows its not actually hurting someone.
I would pay for a DLC for a continuation just Leshy's act. In my opinion it's by far the best and I kinda got disappointed when it ended... Don't get me wrong, the others are good too, but Leshy is easily the best for me
i just realized, in the actual game, you're supposed to fight his 3 adversaries and you do that on the board then face Leshy. same is done on Part 3. clever.
wait i just realised, the cards are abilities and thier strength are actually close to how they behave in wildlife, right? Well some abilities seem impossible in real life which is true. But one of them may have appeared because of a joke. That one is the cat’s ability to get sacrificed. It may have originated from cats having 9 lives.
SPOILERS I feel like the whole evil code thing wasn't particularly necessary. I realize it's the impetus for Grimora deciding the best course of action is to delete the game entirely which was a beautifully executed ending and left me teared up, but beyond that I just felt utterly blown away by the characters and just wanted more of that rather than Karnoffel. It's leaving me curious but so many questions were left unanswered in the meta plot that it's painful. Double spoilers Gripes with the meta aside...I am particularly happy that there is hope for meeting our Scrybe friends again now that our Stoat stands unopposed.
@@ditto-w you can choose more than one if you let a lot of creatures die from the leaping traps bc each creature that dies from that turns into a wolf pelt in your hand
I can't help but feel disappointed in the game as a whole but act 1 had supreme vibes and Leshy is incredibly as a character. Let us play as noble beasts for just a few more rounds brother.
SPOILERS, YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED: I kind of wish the game was more fleshed out, with more time with the other Scribes before the end. A quiet game of bone chess with Grimora sounds like a great way to pass a night, and the primal, Yugiohesque way Magnificus played would have definitely appeal to many, if he had lasted longern a few seconds. And yes, the obnoxious real life story definitely killed the vibe. A beautifully told story, but alas, a story I feel that could have been told better. Most of all, I feel like it could have used more time to cook, that the plot was too short. A good unsettling novel needs time for its suspense to draw out, whereas the RUclipsr plot completely nullfiied whatever I felt the game could have done with that, and turned it on its head to a real life conflict. Also, the game asking me for access to my computers other files was a big, BIG no no.
@@KitsuneDzelda The C drive access ended up being one of my favorite fights and then it followed up with another boss that attacked me with my Steam friend list. I found it all to be a great highlight in an otherwise dragging section that is Act 3. After the Archivist, that section really does improve.
Honestly yeah, i don't mind games being meta, but the ARG thing and the whole real life "subplot" being thrown in honestly worsened the experience of the game, Like as it was happening i enjoyed it but after the game ended and i had to look up wtf happened it just felt...dissapointing, I didn't like P03's section very much as is, so for it to have been the finale with some plot about a evil code found during ww2 and some AI that became real from the creator's other game, just feels honesly stupid lol, like something out of a badly written creepypasta, Overall i heavily enjoyed the game but Act 1 and leshy hard carries my enjoyment for the game, atleast their's endless mode right?
It was always meta. From the moment luke could be heard playing the game. Meta used to carry Mullin games. This one just happened to have an A plot that was really fun to play.
fmv stuff is extremely silly but the dichotomy between leshy and p03's sections is easily the coolest part of the game, and justifies the meta shift imo. that being said, i do not trust inscryption's dlc/sequel/whatever to be well written lol

@@tsnophaljakarax9963 he is confirmed to eat human corpses i think

I want a physical trading card game for inscryption i would play tf out of it that and collect all of it, there could even be a whole rarity system and new cards separate from the game
Holographic talking cards?
Imagine somebody who doesn't know the game picking up a Stoat card, turning it and seeing "HELP ME"
@@dydlus Or have the stoat always say "you sure?" or "total misplay" lol
It wouldn't work so well as a one-on-one trading card game, because the game isn't designed around being one. Would totally work as a Table Top RPG though
@@sprousprou Or a 1v1 card game complete with balls and scales
@@dydlus Bruh imagine with the Lonely Mage.
I CAN FEEL IT ! STIMULATION!!!
love that it sounds like theres perpetual vacuuming noises in ghe background to me
this isnt a complaint i acutallu think its really funny
I will never un-hear that, thanks
Leshy:"ignore the prospector vacuuming he's just cleaning up the place"
I always thought it was the PC overheating during the battle.
I thought it was supposed to be wind, lol.
An extended version. Easy Choose
Act 1 is the best. I played the rest of the game, but it was mostly "I really want to know what happenes next" rather than "I love the gameplay of this part". I am so glad they made Kaycee's Mod.
I like the image, i feel like it was a game for PlayStation 1 or 2 so, beatiful
Leshy cared about the game
P03 only cared about himself
i've been listening to these extented tracks for the past month while studying for three finals at the same time, the threatening aura definitely helped to stay focused lol. my last final is tomorrow and i know i'll probably hear leshy's theme in my head while taking it
This really encapsulated the feeling of coming across some strange, otherworldly spirit at a bad time.
I miss Inscryption.
When you hear something like this you think "how much weed & lsd did I just take?" because this messes with your head so much.
Leshy is like a grandfather showing you his favorite game to play,
I could listen to this all day
This fight is pure fear in Kaycee's mod.
senzel got some GOATED tracks
Leshy is my favorite everything about him is amazing
That's right everyone, you can play with you favorite Druid, Leshy , all day long now. Check steam, there is a new Beta DLC. Itsa spicy.
Im just saying, this game needs multilayer but where the decks are completely randomised preventing any uruburos cheeses
the art is just amazing
If anyone wants to hear a badass voice for Leshy, look up fatguy703 . Him and Lenny,(voice of leshy) have a play though and Lenny gives him a perfect voice.
I just finished their shared LP a few days ago, and you're right: LENNY'S LESHY VOICE IS SO FUCKING GOOD. If it was the first Leshy voice I heard, Lenny's Leshy voice would've ended up being my canon voice for him.
The sirens call thee
A soul bound by the forest
When the full moon shows
*you have all of the boons*
Leshy... the best of the Scybes. He's (In our opinion) the nicest of them all, and just wants to have a fun experience. He knows the 'Human' is just a model being controlled by The Lucky Carder. That's why he's brutal when it comes to the weights. He knows its not actually hurting someone.
Now these are some funky beats
I would pay for a DLC for a continuation just Leshy's act. In my opinion it's by far the best and I kinda got disappointed when it ended... Don't get me wrong, the others are good too, but Leshy is easily the best for me
Try kaycee's mod!
i just realized, in the actual game, you're supposed to fight his 3 adversaries and you do that on the board then face Leshy. same is done on Part 3. clever.
This soundtrack hits so hard.
"How did tat work?! The Moon doesn't even have a sense of smell!!"
little trillbillys riding unicycles while eating big fat burgers on sticks
wait i just realised, the cards are abilities and thier strength are actually close to how they behave in wildlife, right? Well some abilities seem impossible in real life which is true. But one of them may have appeared because of a joke. That one is the cat’s ability to get sacrificed. It may have originated from cats having 9 lives.
Yeah, if you sacrifice the cat 9 times it loses the sigil and becomes and "Undead Cat"
SPOILERS
I feel like the whole evil code thing wasn't particularly necessary.
Double spoilers
Gripes with the meta aside...I am particularly happy that there is hope for meeting our Scrybe friends again now that our Stoat stands unopposed.
It feels so good
thanks a lot for this
無いはずのシャッターの音とベルの音が聞こえてくる。
This blasted moon…..
I never got to the part with the Traders mask, I wonder what it does
While I never got to see it either I would assume it puts out leaping traps
i believe a few upgraded cards are put out on the board on leshy's side, and you're given a wolf pelt to choose one
@@ditto-w you can choose more than one if you let a lot of creatures die from the leaping traps bc each creature that dies from that turns into a wolf pelt in your hand
When I fought Leshy I feel like the overall atmosphere distracted me from how good the music is, even when its by itself.
It sounds like an air raid siren at the beginning
of course you destroy the moon
You take the moon and you
When will a worthy challenger appear?
Very good
I can't help but feel disappointed in the game as a whole but act 1 had supreme vibes and Leshy is incredibly as a character. Let us play as noble beasts for just a few more rounds brother.
whats wrong with the rest of the game?
Leshy + Trapper theme goes way too hard
Where's a Witcher when you need one?
What muzical instruments are used to make this
What does ost mean?

Ah

Orange siberian tadpoles
Oroboros Stoat Trapper
Yeah that's cool and all leshy but you gave me a deathcard with 0 cost and grizzly stats so bye
[!!!MAJOR SPOILERS!!!]
out of all the deaths of the scribes I feel the saddest for leshy, all he wants is to play a nice game.
Same ;(
Hold up.... Because guess what??????..... They have a beta out for just what you are talking about.
Those strings remind me of wind waker
Reading these commmenys is so confusing because my ass hasn’t gotten pass act 1-
This is unironically better on 1.75 speed IMO
You aren’t lying
I played it x2 when watching manly's gameplay. It sounded sick
It is good but doesn’t have the same tension at normal
Honestly I wish they made the first act longer and that became the game, didn't really like the change in setting or all the meta stuff.
inscryption was amazing until things started to become meta.
SPOILERS, YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED:
I kind of wish the game was more fleshed out, with more time with the other Scribes before the end.
