There's something undeniably blissful about the opposition of the prairie music intro and limit bouldering in the alpine. This reminds me of a Dick Proenneke film. We are so used to hard alpine bouldering being met with underground rap and hiphop increasing the intensity of the movement and effort. Seeing a short film with the same subject matter met with scenes of a dog being gently secured into a backpack for safe travels, bacon being seared on a wood stove in a cabin, and a moose gently parading down a hill side eases the normally ferocious intensity of climbing. There were still the required clips of hard efforts and torn skin, but now it felt like a fun day accumulating some scrapes and bruises in our silly objectives. I still love the intensity of some films, but this made me feel a great sense of content. This felt like something different, in a good way. Whoever made this should be proud.
Not sure if you're from Colorado or not but that mountain has a new name, Mount Blue Sky. The old name was in honor of an objectively evil person, Governor John Evans who decieved and massacred native Americans by ordering soldiers to disrespect their own US flag by firing on the Arapahoe and Cheyenne houses flying the flag, killing hundreds

I wanted to mute it, I can’t believe I even made it through, my poor ears begged for mercy for me to turn it off yet I held on for a send, but there wasn’t much of that either. The filler footage seemed unoriginal and dragged on and all I want in an 8 min video is pure climbing content. This truly isn’t to be a hater but please take notes, I’m a huge fan, whoever edited this though, not a fan of their artistic vision and the company, and the climbers deserve better. Climbing deserves sexier content.
