Merci! vu le nombre de notifs YT sur la sortie de l'AI4.0 que j'ai eu ce matin.. j'imagine que ca doit être enfin sorti! Plus qu'à tester tout ça ce we! 🙂
Good Vid. thanks! This could not have come out at a more perfect time since I just activated the my SCT again which I have never had 'good' star as compared to images from a refractor. I think version 3 and beyond will set up the telescope for you on cold nights...haha Cheers
Does this also fix chromatic aberration, in addition to malformed star shapes?
Whyis is the oldest version of PIX this supports?
I see they have FREE Trial so just try it and see...That's what I will do. PixInsight 1.8.9-1 or later
Ok, I can select the AI version 2 in PIX. Is this the way we update?
I don't think so. AI ver 2 is the old one. BXT on my system still v 1.2.1 with AI v2. Not the newest one.
I am not seeing this update in my PI 1.8.9-2 installation. Still on BlurXterminator 1.2.1. I have run update several times, and still no new version. Are you using a pre-release?
I was able to select AI version 2. I'm testing it now.
@@afryhover I have AI version 2 also. Looks like the new version of AI is 4.0 - but I don't have the new BXT or AI yet. Still not showing up as an available update. I am permanently licensed (purchased) and my repositories are correct. So, maybe RC temporarily pulled the v2 update.
Same for me, still 1.2.1. Have you noticed at the beginning of the video, at the top left of the RC astro website this" PRIVATE" saying in the title? Besides, the latest info on the website I get right now is from the 13th of May, which sounds logical if the BXT 2.0 version is still "private" for the moment. Please Mr Croman, release it soon! :-)
This is with the reducer, right? I also have the SVX130T with the Moonlite WR35. I get those same stars in the corners with the .72. This is also an issue on the 152 our club recently purchased. I've only been using the 130 at f/7 as a result. SV is working on an inhouse reducer that should be out next year. The hope is that it will provide much better stars in the corners, especially at full frame. The current reducer is made in China. Will need to download the new version of BXT now and give the reducer another shot.
I tried it right away. Out of focus is gone! Thank you for information
Before it appeared to use the average star shape to approximate the PSF. What was needed was a spatially variant PSF to handle different PSFs and adapt locally. This has apparently the same functionality as a dynamic spatially variant PSF. I have been tackling this problem for terrestrial photography, but it is harder since we have no point source inputs (stars are ideally points). Can’t wait to try the new plugin🎉❤
Wow! Just downloaded the upgrade and tried it on an image I knew had some tilt/backfocus issues. Amazing! Would be nice to "correct" and "sharpen nonstellar" in one step like we could before, but the improvement in quality is worth the extra step.
Hey! Maybe I can use my RASA again with this!
Damn perfect timing, just finally got started the trial yesterday but wasn't fixing these minor issues in the corners. Excited to try it out now!
Thanks for sharing this, I am excited to save some of my old data now 🙂
I have only one word to say ... "WOW"
Given that for most of us astrophotography is a expensive hobby it would be nice if this group of programs could be used on their own and software other than PI.
I get you! It's not a cheap hobby and I also didnt want to pay money for software. But on the other hand, the quality increase you get from BXT and Pixinsight for their price is incredible if you think about it! Go get a new scope/mount/camera/... for the same price which provides the same increase in picture quality - this is impossible - well, rather un-payable :D
Is this a free update or a seperate purchase from 1.0?
Free update! :)
