Cool. I love to seeing these trucks being worked. I have a m931 with a cummins 250. As well as a m925 I converted to a dump. My brother and I are looking to get a small lowboy to run a set up just like yours. We have a jd 750 dozer, as well as a cat 120 excavator that we need to move from time to time for jobs, which are all out in the country within a 5-10 mile radius. I know it will pull slow. But most of the places we go, you have to crawl to anyways. I've used my truck to drag trailers into places where the OTR truck delivering the trailer got stuck pulling into the driveway, so I know what these trucks can do. Hope you post some videos of her pulling trailers, and when we do get a lowboy, I will try to do the same.

Nice looking trailier....what brand size is it? I've got a 10KD6c & an M931 and a trailer like that would be just the ticket. Looks like you've got a Kenco brush guard like mine too.

Trailer is a 1970 Nabors, 35 ton, 10.00x15 tires. Yes, Kenco canopy w/ their rops front sweeps. I have also hauled my D7E 48A w/ this 6x6 tractor. D7E is about 22 ton, it carries the weight fine and works good on local gravel roads, though not enough horsepower for the highway.

Do you have any videos of the truck pulling lowboy and dozer?

No video of pulling lowboy. I pull the dozer locally on gravel roads off highway. Has good power for the slower country roads, where even when using a regular semi I don't travel very fast anyway. Maybe 30 - 35 mph at most. Works great off road hauling the dozer to jobs way back in pastures & fields where level enough to haul. Highway speed and power when loaded is weak as truck is powered by Cummins 8.3 and Allison automatic rated at 240 hp. Naturally will not keep up with a full sized semi w/ 350 to 500+ hp, except when the going gets rough or a little soft. The truck carries the weight just fine, more hp would be good. I also plan to use the 6x6 to pull a flat semi trailer hauling hay from field to barn, w/ creek crossings and sloughs to cross.

I used a 5-ton to move the 7-E in Virginia. It had the Continental multifuel engine and never hurt for power. Just the 5-speed main and hi/lo transfer case. I think I could split it and get 7 gears but that was it. Sure could use a 10-speed over the 5 but you use what you have. Also drove a 5-ton 5k gallon water truck with the same setup. Never drove a G.I. with an Allison. I like them in front discharge mixers and quarry stuff but give me a stick with a LOT of gears on the road. Thanks!
