Theo and Bee gave up their busy city lifestyles in 2014 to explore alternative living, and have lived in vans and boats since then without looking back! Along with their cat Ginjey Bear they have been driving around the world in their self converted Sprinter van. However, when the global pandemic hit they began converting their abandoned stone barn in Central Portugal to turn into a wonderful tiny stone cottage. Along the way, they have rescued a playful cat called Furrnando and have a wonderful flock of Chickens!

Your fashion sense is unique, a bit like mine really. I'm the sort of person who likes to wear floral prints and bright pnk and orange in the winter. Just because everyone else is in boring old dark colours doesn't mean I have to be. I personally find bright colours have an uplifting effect on my mood. Which also explains why my feature wall in the living room is a bright luminous spring green and makes me feel quite energetic. My bedroom wall on the other hand is a dark purple which I find very restful. 👍❤
You always get a thumbs up from me. That's because: a. I love you two. b. You work so hard. c. It takes courage to wear mismatched socks and some more questionable fashion choices with elan.

Actually the pine needles are not acidic when dry, it is only acidic when green. They are used here in the states for garden mulches. They are sold in bales just like hay for mulching landscaping and gardens aalike.
hmmmm, so you need something that could grab and blow the pine needles off the pathway- get a snowblower and adapt it as a needle blower. When you store your canoe flip it upside down so it stays dry and a bit cleaner. Mine used to rest on sawhorses for easy access.
You can have your one horned goat dehorned to give your unhorned goat more protection. It is not barbaric and fairly painless for the animal.
If you were to plant Rhododendron and Azaleas down the slope where all the pine needles are, they would do so well there. They love acid soil and you would have a spectacular show when they are in bloom in Spring.
I worry that the pine needles are a massive fire hazard. Is there anything you can do with them I.e. burn in the wet season? I know that you can’t do the acreage but what you’re sweeping up around the pond put into a burn barrel instead of under the trees.
A water power washer would clean your paved stones and push the debris away. All the weeds coming up between the stones would be easier to remove as well.

Cannot believe how you handled the snake! Baby snake are more poisonous than large ones.
Only problem is that not having a fence around the lake could effect your insurance rates for safety reasons

My mother used to say that a weed is a plant that you don't want growing in that spot at that time.
I always wear a cap. Helps with the sun too! But yes with glasses they are great in the rain!
