Excellent work, thank you for putting this together. It was interesting to see the pistol fight at the end. I clearly have a little more work to do on how pistols handle. Based on this video, I want to give pistols a smaller max parallax range while keeping the sensitivity high: aiming precisely with pistols is hard but aiming generally is easy and it should have been a little easier for you to hit the scav in front of you. I am also going to remove directional sway for pistols -- the whole idea with directional sway is that the contact points on the weapon are more connected to your shoulders, which I guess does not apply to pistols so much. And also, pistols are emergency weapons. So that engagement really showed how I need to rework pistols a little. So thank you for this video and keep them coming.
Pistols have always seemed a little off and I think you explain it very good. I would like to use them more often in cqb, against scavs, and especially as an emergency weapon (with the slow time of switching from primary to secondary), but they just seem a tad bit awkward to use right now. Thanks for watching, now that finals are over I should be able to make more SPT content. I am still trying to manage active raids while still balancing performance but I am almost there! 800 comes from the total hitpoints of the plates and soft armor. (approx 150 front and back plate & 50-100 per soft armour like chest/back/groin etc) High penetration rounds will tear right through armor and weak rounds have a chance to deal blunt damage or fragment upon impact causing massive damage to other body parts
