Natural Play Equipment at Hillcrest Academy

Our playground consultant, Meg Booth, worked with the Principal at Hillcrest Academy to develop their KS1 playground after the successful completion of their EYFS outdoor play area.
We have created an inspiring, natural, sensory area for the academy's KS1 children.
The children now have a huge selection of activities to choose from while participating in outdoor learning. From planting various plants in the many planters, investigating a number of mini-beasts in the bug hotel or reading and relaxing quietly amongst nature.
Not only does the playground development provide the children with many exciting activities, but it also enhances their scientific knowledge and contributes towards other areas of the KS1 curriculum.
We loved working with Hillcrest Academy in Leeds on this project and we're so happy to head back to the academy to see all the children enjoying and exploring their new outdoor area.
